We arrived at Zora with my wife on July 16, we will be there by the 30th. We chose this hotel because we wanted to go for 15 days / 14 nights, and the money for the second half of the holiday was not enough. In the end, they paid 920 euros for full board with airfare and visas. Before that there were in Alanya - hotel "Sunset Beach" 5 * (excellent food, beer "Tuborg", instead of "yupi" Coca-Cola and Fanta, water "Evian", tea "Dilma Gold" of various kinds, the beach in 30 meters from the hotel, sunbeds / umbrellas / mattresses / sauna / hammam / gym - free, etc. , etc. , etc. (but $ 1.900 for 12 days / 11 nights), so the contrast was very sharp (you had to go the opposite way) .

I'll start with the cons. First impression - the consonant letters in the name of the hotel should be changed to the previous ones in alphabetical order.

Rooms of 12 sq. and there are no curtains (but the towels are new, white and clean). At the same time, the windows / balcony doors did not seem to change or be painted from the moment of construction, and the wall cabinet in the corridor was painted with cheap mustard paint on top of the old one.
There is no difference between single, double and triple rooms: there are 3 single beds everywhere (two along one wall, one near the opposite: as you wish - so put), two bedside tables and a single bedside table, mirror, ottoman, 2 plastic on the balcony chairs and stretched 2 clothesline. Room 2 has sockets - one under the table, the other on the wall at the entrance to the corridor (I wisely took with me a three-meter extension cord for 4 sockets).
Lighting - one wall lamp with a 60-watt light bulb, in the hallway and bathroom - a 40-watt ceiling light. We live in the second building on the first floor overlooking the pool. There from 9 to 19 "movement", so with open curtains and balcony doors naked does not look like. At 7.45 an aunt comes with a vacuum cleaner and starts cleaning the pool area. The only plus - climbed over the overflow, took five steps and dived, and then came back and sunbathe on your chair. But in principle, there are always free sunbeds by the pool.
The worst 149th room is a hydrant on the balcony, to which a hose is connected at 8 am and water is added to the pool, so that the linen hung there will get dirty on this hose. We were settled there on the first day, but were immediately told that they would be moved to another one tomorrow at 9.30. It seems that this 149th is used as a "shunting". The hotel is fully occupied, so even for the money to move us somewhere higher refused.
About half of the guests are youth groups of Poles (from 8 to 18 years old). They are a local "hemorrhoid" - replacing violent guests from Russia / Ukraine. But after the first night under the drunken cries of "whore! "
The room is hot (the general corridor is really cooler, because there, as well as in the lobby, dining room and office space are double-glazed windows), the surrounding trees are of little use, in the evening on the street cooler than in the room (because all day closed - ground floor).

Food is not very varied and "average lousy". Breakfast - a kind of pizza, two types of sausage (such as "salami" and "jam", but edible), pasta, salted cheese, butter, jam. Lunch - soup, boiled potatoes / stew / vermicelli, chicken / incomprehensible cutlets (ingredients: fish and rice).
Dinner - something like stew / liquid puree / pasta / french fries, soy meatballs (but from the stew I "cook" myself excellent pork).
The coffee machine only works for breakfast and every half an hour it starts to buggy - then the waiter brings it to consciousness (but the drinks are great, not worse than 5 *), in the cooler water and "chemistry" with a slight taste of "blueberries" and "multifruit". tea is already brewed from "titanium" (judging by the color and taste - from a broom or old mat litter collected on the beach). Three times a day a salad of cucumbers and tomatoes (ripe and fresh). Watermelon / apricots (less decent) and Polish apples for lunch and dinner, which do not turn brown even after two days. But, in a big way, we do not die of hunger and do not buy anything.
On the first day, the canteen was opened 30-40 minutes late and closed on schedule, but after calling a representative of the "controlling authorities", the hotel manager is always present in person on the second day and monitors the process.
However, you can drink tea / water / "chemistry" only while eating - then the dining room is closed, there are no more coolers on the territory (you need to recruit or buy at the bar). Only one bar - in the lobby (prices are really lower than on the waterfront). The one near the pool is closed.

Promised in one of the previous reviews of plasma and "Playstation" is not even close. There is a paid "American" and table tennis. Wi-fi is only available in the rooms near the reception, where there is an access point. It, like the Internet, is paid: an hour - 3 levs, 5 hours - 10 levs, 10 hours - 15 levs (exchange rate 1 euro - 1.9 levs). Speed no more than 256K, the only plus - the multilogin / multilogout system (ie).

entered the network - the meter began to "tick", came out - stopped). I took 10 hours - talking in the evenings with friends on Skype via video link (the picture "slows down", but tolerable). There are a lot of networks on the beach, but all require an access code.
Renting a safe at the reception costs 35 levs for two weeks, a small refrigerator (it would be more correct to call it a "mini-bar") - the same. The Chinese floor fan can be bought only for 15-20 levs and only in Varna (in the stores of the well-known Technopolis and Technomarket chains).

For those who drive: my navigator "Garmin" on Bulgarian roads periodically loses signal.

Pros. Tireless road: 2 hours after departure from the airport "Borispol" we entered the room.

Even cleaners understand Russian.
The staff is friendly, the girls at the reception are quite tolerant of literary Russian (slang - "fun", "tusa", "freebie" - do not understand), and some in Ukrainian, the manager speaks Ukrainian fluently. This is very pleasing to guests from Lviv, who came here in the number of 15 people in four cars.
Surprisingly, two of them are Subaru Forrester and Volkswagen Tuareg: that is, people are not poor (for example, I drive a Ford Focus on credit). The pool staff cleans every morning according to the full program with the addition of appropriate "chemistry". The cleaners tidy up the room for free on a solid three, sometimes even trying to "artistically" lay out towels and bedding. In general, as Mark Twain wrote, "Don't shoot the pianist, he's trying his best. "

Bracelets "Zorya VV" and "Golden Beach Park Hotel 4 * AI" are absolutely the same (color, shape, material), only the content of the inscription, size, style and color of the font differs.
But the children and their parents, after a commotion in the sand, these inscriptions are erased on the second day, and in "Golden Beach" a lot of people live, the staff can not remember everyone. Here is a group of enterprising Russians now eating and drinking in the "Golden", and in the "Dawn" just spending the night. And 99% of Zorya's guests, unfortunately, have full board and bracelets of a different color.

"Terrible" stairs are still in place, but (based on the above), in my opinion, is not the biggest disadvantage of "Dawn". By the way, guests of the hotel "Breeze" 3 * also need to walk on it, residents of a respectable "Golden Beach Park Hotel" 4 * on the way to the beach and back have to overcome exactly half of these stairs. People run it up and down quite briskly, including grandmothers "under 60" with grandchildren aged five. Along the road to Albena there are a couple of "fours", whose guests walk up the parallel stairs (behind the hotel "Moon" 4 *).
We have a journey "from the surf line to the door of the room" takes exactly 10 minutes to the break. At the same time, my level of physical training is somewhere "zero" - the last time I did physical education was 9 years ago (now 32), I smoke for 15 years, at work and at home I sit at the computer, move by car, live in a private house and do not lift anything heavier than a glass of beer.
Those who want to avoid climbing the second half of the stairs can turn to the "Golden Beach", go to the hotel, take the elevator to the main hall and exit through the second exit. But it will take much longer and you will walk a much longer distance (albeit in a flat place). With places on the beach everything is fine - if you do not come, you can take a piglet 3x3 a couple of meters from the water. Folding umbrella with a diameter of 1.2 meters with a cover costs 10 levs, compactly returns the litter from the mat area of .2x2 - 15 levs (right on the waterfront).
Ice cream in the hotel and cafe in the middle of the stairs to the beach costs 1-2 levs per 100 grams. Draft beer (local) - 1.5 leva for 0.5. Beer in two-liter bottles - 3.5-4 leva (in Varna the same costs 2.5, but the waterfront - it is in Yalta waterfront). In the cafe across the street from the hotel grilled sturgeon costs 9.5 levs per 300 grams. On the waterfront prices are higher, depending on the level of the tavern.
Local table water "Devin" (not to be confused with Moldovan table wine) costs 1.2 levs for 1.5 liters and 3.8 - for 11 liters. Excursions in Bulgaria on the waterfront cost from 30 to 70 levs per person, depending on the content and duration, Constanta - up to 100, Istanbul - up to 200. Discos are not interested in me, so I can not say anything about them. However, at the entrance to the hotel "Moon" 4 * it is written that the entrance to their "night club" is free.

Conclusion. If you deduct from the cost of the ticket flight and transfer, it turns out that accommodation in the "Dawn" with three meals a day costs 16 euros per person per night.
It is unlikely that you can find anything cheaper in the Golden Sands in the "high season". On the other hand, acquaintances for almost the same money go to Sozopol to a private hotel "Verona" 3 * with HB, but there are large balconies with sea views, air conditioning / cable TV / refrigerator and the road to the beach without stairs (but go minutes 15).
However, a taxi ride from Bourgas airport and back will cost around 130-150 euros. In general, the cost of living in "Dawn" corresponds to its level. If you want more, then you have to pay more (or go in the best conditions, but for a shorter period).
