My husband and I went for 14 days in August 2009. I am very glad, because now we are raising a baby and nothing shines further than the Crimea for a couple of years.
Now about rest. Zora is for those who want to save money, therefore it is impossible to evaluate here according to the usual system, there are no evaluation criteria on the site separately for the stars 2 * 3 *, 4 *, 5 *, etc. it turns out one size fits all, well, or at least add an evaluation criterion such as “price”, then Zora will have only 10s, and five-stars will have 2 balls.
First of all, I liked the green area, it was not hot in the room, despite the lack of air conditioning. When checking in, they asked the administrator to settle in a room where there are no teenage groups nearby. They asked in the usual way - with a banknote in the passport, and announcing that we were newlyweds, although they lied a little here : ) In any case, they settled us in a quiet area....ATP!

I personally liked the ascent and descent to the beach very much, after 14 days I arrived in general in my most ideal shape, and my husband, by the way, too. In this, you still need to thank "Zora" for "food": you will not be hungry, but you will not want to eat up either. Most of all, I was surprised how their ice cream can not dissolve at all in hot coffee, what's in it? : )
They wrote about the numbers here, I confirm that it is a typical scoop, but not in the worst sense. Clean enough, amenities in the room, there is a balcony - it's great for an economy vacation, if you want more - pay more.
The staff and people on the waterfront are quite friendly, after all, they are not Muslims, which is much calmer nowadays.
I was pleased with the service in the cafe, they almost always served at least a trifle in excess of the order, for example, nuts for beer, or Malibu for mussels, cola for french fries, with the phrase “come to us again” is nice : )
The hotel really has no bartenders, it seems that it's just in the cold. Somehow she persuaded me to sell a lemon (my husband had a sore throat), but no... they only have it cut with sugar. For a long time I explained that I didn’t need sugar and didn’t need to cut all of it, probably for a very long time I really explained that the guy from the reception managed to run to the kitchen and bring me the long-awaited lemon, even for free. I must say that everyone has almost excellent Russian, so the bartender “understood” me, just apparently did not want to strain. Special thanks for the lemon - it helped : ) Where would I look for it late in the evening.
I personally didn’t understand Bulgarian at all, but they can say Russian letters, so you can read, it just comes out fun. For example, in a hotel on an electric brush there was an inscription “DO NOT PIP DANGEROUSLY FOR THE STOMACH” (it seems so... like “Do not touch it is life threatening : )

It is not always easy to get used to the fact that Bulgarians have other gestures, for example, our “no” and their “yes” and vice versa. My husband got into a funny situation once, we just arrived and went to a cafe to celebrate. He leafed through the menu and asked if there was this or that dish... to which he received a negative nod. After he was already upset, he asked what was available at all ? ! answered that there is EVERYTHING. Then we remembered this moment and laughed at the situation for a long time. It is quite possible that the locals are making fun of it, it’s hard to believe that for so many years they haven’t recognized the differences, although maybe the girl in her thoughts was just... it doesn’t matter, we are funny people.
Separately, I want to note the local cocktails, I really liked it! Tastier than Bulgarian Pinokolada, Laguna, etc. I did not try. + Cheerful cheap (or generally free, but we almost never went to such) discos, places with very good club music and DJs. There are solid “ours” around, probably this is how it is everywhere now... There is not even a feeling that it is another country.
I generally liked the beach, although I don’t like it when sand pours from you. On the beach and in some cafes, pools are free, only sun loungers are paid or if you lie under an umbrella. The sea is warm, but not transparent, there is no pleasure from diving, there is nothing to look at at all. It was stormy a couple of times, and even with very small waves, the observer did not let anyone swim, running and shouting at everyone. In a strong storm, I wouldn’t climb myself, but here there was a children’s “storm” in general, as a result, we repulsed the desire to swim and we left the beach. So the swimming process did not bring pleasure in general, I generally had a feeling of a river.
Purchases and currency exchange were made not on the embankment, but if you go down the road from Zora down. The prices are much more real, I especially advise Tequila. There is a minibus stop nearby, we went to Varna and skimped on little things, very nice. You also need to ask in exchangers if there are any commissions, since the rate can hang one, but they will change it in a completely different way, pretending that they do not understand what it is about, and the check has already been broken, with their nods you will never understand if there is a commission or not.
We had the following way out of the situation: they gave us 10 bucks to change, if the required amount came out, we changed more.

Of the excursions, nothing impressed, one imposed on us by a travel agency generally took the whole day and almost ruined it. We were taken on an old boat around the neighborhood, many fished and then the sailors fried what they caught, or what was in the stash (dubious sanitation for sure). In theory, they promised a walk to see the night embankment from afar, we wanted this, but at the end we muttered something about the need to return, and brought it as soon as it began to get dark. What to do... went to the room to change, and no longer wanted to go down after spending the evening on the territory.
So, in general, a good vacation for my money, I remember with a smile, but I don’t advise with children... the stairs of the hotel go out onto the road with a fairly rhythmic movement, and descending with crumbs may no longer be a joy: down - they can fall, up - hard... .
