We were in this hotel for 10 days from September 10 to 20, celebrated our wedding anniversary with my husband. We really liked everything! The first thing that really surprised us was that a Russian-speaking guide is "attached" to each tourist, who escorts the tourist straight to the room, shows everything, tells, etc. A girl Vera was attached to us (all Chinese call themselves Russian names for the convenience of Russian tourists). The whole holiday tried to impose on us at least some kind of excursion. )))) But almost all the guides were there all the time, you could find out everything you need from them. They will also be happy to write in Chinese characters everything you ask for - in case of explanations with the natives. Nobody speaks English here. You can explain yourself either in Russian or in Chinese. )))) Almost all cafes have the names of dishes in both Russian and Chinese. People here are hospitable, sincere and love Russians. Everything is correct! Who else would they love if all the tourists with Slavic faces they see are Russians. ))) The girls are small, neat, pretty, like dolls! On the weekend you can watch weddings along the entire coast. The brides look very beautiful against the backdrop of the sea and palm trees. The biggest plus in the hotel, in my opinion, is the pool with thermal baths. The pool is open until 12 midnight, and you can wallow in the springs at least all night! In the evening - when you swim, shop, eat and get drunk - the very thing is to lie in such a bath! We met with the guys who have been vacationing there for several days. They showed us everything, told us where it is better, where to go, what to see and buy. So feel free to meet people! The beach at the hotel is clean, they are watching it, cleaning it, you can see it! Two cafes on the beach - one hotel, apparently, it is expensive here (relative to others). The second - spontaneous, evening - with skewers of marine life, which are caught right there in the sea during the day, and corn. Delicious. you sit on the seashore, listen to the surf and eat yummy! Romantic! Well, or bum-style. ))) Everyone probably already knows about the blue bus with an elephant. He will take you to the center of Nanshan Buddhism (if you go to the road where he walks, then to the right), as well as to Dadonghai, Sanya (to the left) and Yalunvan. In Dadonghai and Sanya you can buy cheap good things, for ladies it's just a paradise! To what extent I am not a lover of shopping - I still enjoyed this process. Yes, I got so much that I had to buy another suitcase. ))) I am pleased with the prices for silk - high-quality, beautiful, diverse, for pearls (by the way, it’s better to buy it in Yalunvan), for all kinds of clothes (mostly for women, little is sold for men), for leather products - wallets, cases, suitcases . I recommend taking fewer things with you, because you will still pick up things (well, everything is very cheap! ) And you will have to overpay upon departure (1kg - 20 bucks! ). For each person you can take out - 20kg. Hand luggage is only weighed if you are carrying a frankly large load, so take note - even if your hand luggage is very heavy - do not show it! ))) At the hotel, we only had breakfast - several types of noodles and various variations of eggs - cooked right in front of you. Everything else you collect yourself at the buffet. Food - not chic, not restaurant, but quite normal - there are all kinds of Chinese dishes, and European ones. Fairly large selection of everything. . We had lunch and dinner either in Dadonghai or in a restaurant in a hotel next door. This hotel seems to be for the Chinese, because there is not a single sign in any other language. This hotel has a shop where you can buy almost everything. Here we also purchased attributes for celebrating our anniversary, such as: firecrackers (about 10 pieces), which were inserted into the sand on the beach, set on fire and they fired multi-colored lights into the air; smelly, but bright and colorful sparklers - a few bunches; Chinese champagne (1.5 l bottle! ) - it turned out to be quite acceptable in taste; disposable tableware, etc. Even medicines are sold here. Take it into service - from the hotel to the right along the road between the sea and the hotel. I think if you ask the guides - where is the nearest store, they will point to this place. Plus, the territory of this hotel is very picturesque, take your camera! The restaurant at this hotel is ordinary, with normal food, like everywhere else. By the way, about food: in China, it is customary to serve food not in portions, but on the table. Accordingly, the dishes are large - designed for everyone who sits at the table. Appliances should be distributed separately so that everyone can put as much as they need. This unusualness was very embarrassing at first, because you order, for example, a portion of soup - and they bring you a basin (no, not a basin, but a TAZ! ) with this same soup. It turns out you have to pour yourself into your glass from this tub. And with other dishes the same story. In Dadonghai, between two shopping complexes, there is an area where there are cafes. Here, sit down in the one above which the sign is 2.28 (it seems that I was not mistaken in the numbers), there the guy will serve you - Maxim. They have very tasty Russian food, and Maxim serves very quickly, not intrusively, a nice guy! Once I even went on a bike to a nearby cafe to bring us ice cream. )))) Eat there at least once. Nearby is the "restaurant" Marina, all praised. It looks like a real Soviet tavern inside. They eat differently there. For example, we really liked the borscht. But cutlets in Kiev - not very much. In general, you can go. As for shopping in Dadonghai - on the second floor of the shopping complex (the one where it's cheap, you'll understand for yourself) in one of the shops, a Chinese Ivan sells - he has everything - tea, clothes, wallets, and bed linen - in general, everything! he is very much discounted prices and a very charming uncle! when you come for the second time - you can ask for a 50% discount right away. In general, wherever they don’t want to drop too much in price, ask for a gift. It is easier for them to give something as a gift than to drop the price. I consider Yalunwan Bay a must to visit. Just choose a sunny day! Get on the blue elephant bus and drive for about 40 minutes (simply tell the conductor the name). The landscapes there are - as if it were a completely different sea - like in a bounty advertisement. Be sure to choose a day for swimming here. But keep in mind - everything is more expensive here: both food and drinks. Only souvenirs and pearls on the way to the beach itself are for some reason cheap. Have a good trip to this paradise island! And remember - rest you arrange for yourself! Treat local customs as exotic. And everything will be ok!
