We lived at the hotel in December 2008. The hotel has a really large territory, a lot of greenery, waterfalls, a fish pond, two pools near different buildings - the pools are clean, in the evening they have beautiful lighting. It is very nice when, after the center of Dadonghai with its crazy traffic, a bunch of merchants, turmoil during the day and the roar of fireworks and vying with music from all the cafes in the evening, you get out of the elevator and find yourself in a beautiful, calm hotel area. The rooms have everything you need: a safe, a hairdryer, air conditioning worked well, etc. Cleaning and change of towels daily, bed change about every 2 days, but if they don’t change, you need to put a sign in the form of a tree on the bed (it will be somewhere somewhere near the nightstand). At the beginning, as is often the case, we were settled on the 1st floor overlooking the wall with greenery (or it was the foot of the mountain), but we categorically refused to stay there, because we paid for a room with an ocean view. Then we were moved to the 6th floor with an "ocean view" (there is no ocean view at all in the hotel - this is a view of the bay where the ships dock, but the view from the balcony was still beautiful) and we agreed, closing our eyes even to the fact that the elevator rises in the hotel only to the 5th floor - further up the stairs (we decided that extra physical education would not hurt; later it never bothered us). By the way, our friends, who agreed to stay on the 1st floor, were bitten by mosquitoes at night. The hotel staff is very friendly and unobtrusive. I read here that someone did not like the food. So: everything suited us and everyone found something to their liking: fried eggs, scrambled eggs, several types of pastries, fruits and vegetables, sausages (not bad), meat, noodles, rice, ready-made dishes with meat or chicken, etc. Of course, boring - but it's like everywhere else. Sometimes we dined at the hotel - the preparation of Russian dishes is good (especially delicious chicken noodles), meat, tongue and potatoes with some kind of creamy sauces - everything is tasty and without the taste of specific Chinese seasonings. The downside is that no one speaks Russian in the hotel restaurant, kill yourself, only the menu in Russian saves. The hotel is in the center of Dadonghai, the beach is taken from the hotel by electric car. If you want to go to the beach - tell the reception and the mobile will arrive, otherwise you can wait a long time, and there is an employee from the hotel on the beach - tell him that you want to leave and he also calls the mobile (the first days we did not know this and waited 20-30 minutes when they will pick us up : -)). You can also walk to the beach past shops and cafes for about 10 minutes. There are free sunbeds on the beach from the hotel. A beach with pleasant sand, but despite its cleaning, there are cigarette butts, the sea is cool, constantly a wave. In the evening, a very cool wind blows. to the end of December, January and February are the coolest months on about. Hainy, so take warm clothes. Money can be changed at the reception, but only from 17:00 and only 200 bucks per room per day - a large amount will not be exchanged. You can change at the bank (you need a passport) next to the round square. The choice of cafes and bars where you can eat is huge; including the Russians. The truth can be hit. . . For example, Chinese women run around Dadonghai and advertise the Marina, Beijing and Wanda cafes, give out discounts, etc. . Advertising works : -))), as we understand, all Russians on the island have visited these places and.... very few liked it there (some eateries). Delicious food is prepared in Caravel (though it is hard to find it) and on the square in outdoor cafes (this is a large round square in the center of Dadonghai). It was not possible to eat cheaper than 100 yuan (400 rubles) for two. Although some tourists managed to eat somewhere in the back streets of Dadonghai and for 30-50 yuan. For shopping, you can go to Pedestrian Street (McDonald's landmark) - ask the guide to write the name in Chinese and show the driver of bus number 2, about 6 stops, fare 1 yuan or taxi 10-12 yuan. This is a whole district of shops with a couple of large supermarkets. As for excursions: our friends and I have divided opinions, but the summary is this: you can go to hot springs (you can take beautiful pictures), to the Buddha temple and to the island of monkeys (nothing special), for lovers of water sports - the island of pirates, and on all sorts of farms of butterflies, crocodiles and shells - it's not worth it. Do not rush to immediately make purchases at silk and tea factories - they will divorce you in full. Better live, look around, go shopping and compare prices. And in general, the divorce of our brother is around. For example, we were brought to a snake farm to the Li Miao people, who make a miracle cure based on snake venom. They very convincingly demonstrated medicines and a cream made from cobra fat, which smoothes wrinkles and heals wounds (a woman burned her hand on a red-hot chain, smeared it with cream and after 10 minutes everything went away - they bought this cream, after a couple of days they accidentally burned themselves with boiling water - smeared, smeared with a miracle cream and....did not help! Apparently it only affects the Chinese J)). Trade everywhere. Reduce prices in the beginning by half, and then look at the situation. When bargaining, smile a lot and take out a bill - it fascinates sellers J. I myself never knew how to bargain, but here I had to learn quickly. If once again to Hainan, then only this hotel, because in hotels on the coast it is very noisy in the evenings.
