Anyone who is going to go to Cuba! Don't even think about going to this dangerous hotel!

The main danger of this hotel is rats, yes, real rats!! ! Which filled the entire 4th building, in which they mainly accommodate Russian tourists (I don’t know about other buildings where Canadians and other tourists respected by the hotel live). For some time I lived in this building on the 4th floor, not even suspecting the lurking danger, until one "wonderful" evening a rat ran over my legs right in the room!! ! Huge, black, and disappeared under my bed!! ! I think anyone can understand what a woman could experience at that moment.

I turned to the hotel administrators with a request to catch the rat, because I thought that she ran into the room by accident from the corridor during cleaning, when the door was open. But the administrators insisted on changing the number, saying that the rat is dangerous, it can attack a person. Moved to the 5th floor.

But 2 days later, the horror repeated: at 4 am I woke up from a strong roar in the wall at the head of my bed - this was a rat wading through a hole in the wall for a socket with a telephone cable (the socket itself was no longer in the wall, the rats, you see, had already broken it for a long time, however, as in the other two rooms where I lived before, there were also no telephone sockets, and only telephone cables in the corrugation stuck out).

Having walked around the room, the rat disappeared into the ventilation duct, where the built-in air conditioner is installed. Only after that, in horror, I decided to get out of bed and inspect the place where the rat was pushing its way. Pushing the bed back, I saw that very hole in the wall, and under it a huge pile of poisoned rat bait and some other poison in the form of a powder. Looking closely, I saw that the rat poison was on the back of my bed and on the bedside table next to the phone.
That is, all the time I lived with both rats and rat poison.

Right at night I went once again to the administrators, told about the next rat invasion. To which I received another offer to move to another room. But now it has already become clear to me that relocation will not save you from another contact with rats, since there is rat poison in the rooms, it means that rats live everywhere. My suspicions were confirmed after I talked with other tourists: one tourist had a rat shit on her suitcase and gobbled up her bananas; another family had nuts gnawed by rats; the third tourist went out to the balcony for a towel and ran into a rat there, which was not even afraid of him, but remained sitting on the balcony.

In addition, no one will take care of your personal safety in this hotel either!

Between the two rat infestations, I was also attacked by two young and drunk nationalist Canadians who, upon seeing my T-shirt with the Russian coat of arms, threw my plate of food off my table, and I myself was pushed out of the lobby bar shouting "Russian go on! ". The security guard in the lobby didn't even move, despite my cries of "Police, police! ", until I ran up to him myself. Well, here he smiled sweetly at the unbridled Canadian thugs, and, having received a generous tip from them, he simply left them at my table, and took me to another table and refused to call the police. By the way, young Canadians - students who drove to the hotel en masse, got drunk to such an extent that they lost their human appearance and relieved themselves right on the street, in the pool, in the sand on the beach, and some on beach chairs. None of the hotel staff made any remarks to them, absolutely everything is forgiven for a tip.
Well, and finally, if the previous 2 arguments didn’t scare you: the plumbing in the rooms is in a terrible state (in two of the three rooms in which I lived, the bathtubs are broken, the faucet did not work, the sink looked like someone had chewed it, the flush tank was leaking) , the front door to the room did not close from the inside, the lock sometimes worked, sometimes it didn’t work, so if you wish, strangers can enter you at any time; the telephone naturally does not work (no wonder, since the telephone wire is gnawed by rats); the fact that towels for the face, legs and other parts of the body should be different in this hotel is not known, they give only one thing. In the canteen (you can’t call this place a restaurant) you will stand for a long time in front of a table littered with leftovers until you wait for favors from local waitresses, who will first distribute drinks to decent ones, including Mexicans, to foreigners for tips, and only then prepare a table for you.
However, they will not mind if you remove the dirty dishes from the table yourself when you get tired of standing in front of a dirty table for 15 minutes. Tipping corrects this situation only briefly.

Crowds of cockroaches walk on the distribution tables with sausages, cheeses, sweets and fruits, as well as among clean dishes, so while eating, you need to carefully examine the contents of the plate if you are not used to eating insects. As for “clean” dishes: it is impossible to call it clean; she may have been in the sink, but she was not destined to wash there. Food dried from previous eaters on plates, lipstick not washed off on glasses and glasses. Juices and yogurt in jugs at breakfast are heavily diluted with water, I doubt very much that the water was boiled before that. There is only one coffee machine in the canteen, so you won’t get coffee, and there is no tea at all in this hotel.

The only thing for which there are no complaints is the ocean, but this is not the merit of the hotel. By the way, to go to the beach from building 4 (for Russians) at least a kilometer.

Maybe in other hotels the situation is different, but I personally concluded for myself that I will never go to Cuba again! The guide, during the transfer to the hotel, spoke about the plans of the Cuban side for the next year to increase the flow of Russian tourists to 70.000 people a year, but with such a state of hotels, and such a disgusting level of service ...I think the number of Russian tourists will not grow, but will decrease. In the entire bus, which gathered tourists from different hotels during the return transfer to the airport, there were only two girls who were satisfied with their vacation in Cuba.

And in conclusion, I would like to say “many thanks” to Anex-tour for this unforgettable trip to hell!!!
Despite the fact that I informed Anex Tour about the rats living in the hotel, this tour operator continues to send more and more tourists to the monstrous hotel!! !
