I'll start from the road. Plane to Varadero from Sheremetyevo Terminal C d. b. take off at 8.50 am. We flew from St. Petersburg to Sheremetyevo Terminal B at 23.55. Until we got the luggage, until we got to the "shuttle" and waited for it to appear, while we were driving on it for about 20 minutes. As a result, the clock is 2 o'clock in the morning. After a full day of work, I would already like to lie down, but this is bad in terminal C. There are no hotels for a few hours. Okay, he put his wife with suitcases, and he went to smoke. I really wanted to after 6 hours without tobacco. On the return to the terminal, a beggar policeman was waiting for me (he is also the face of terminal C of Sheremetyevo Airport). He tried to get 500 rubles from me without a protocol for smoking supposedly closer than 15m from the entrance to the terminal. I don't give bribes to anyone. As a result, he rubbed himself around us almost all night. Either he will leave, then in an hour he will return with an old song. This annoyed my wife, but amused me.
The flight was delayed by about an hour.
The flight itself is quite exhausting.

Change money at the airport. The course is more profitable and there are no problems with queues at the bank, about which fellow travelers later told us on the return. In hotels, the standard rate is: 1 kuk = 1 euro.
Now about the hotel itself. The furniture is quite shabby, but you will seriously think about it only on the day of arrival and the next day. Then the ocean, excursions, etc. distract you from this trifle.
Beach. The beach is gorgeous. Of course, they could have cleaned it better, but there were no glasses or debris. Our house was on the border of the hotel and I brought sunbeds from the bar to us. As a result, my wife and I had our own private beach. The closest sunbathers were over 100m away.
Tours. We took two. The first to Havana, the second - three cities. Prices: 96 euros / person - Havana, 86 euros / person - second. Excursions were from Pegasus. They were a little more expensive than private sellers, but we did not regret it at all. Our excursions were conducted by the state company of Cuba and everything was without overlap according to a well-established program, and after private traders, people then spat home on the plane.
Food. The food is quite primitive. It is better to come to the beginning of the "banquet", in the end you will be left without meat. In previous reviews I read about a drinking cook. Now there are two of them. The other one drinks too. It doesn't seem to affect the quality. We didn't have any stomach problems. For 10 days they gave shrimp and squid once. Fish was a couple of times.
Outcome. I am satisfied. Minor everyday roughness of a person from the USSR did not disappoint in Cuba.
