We rested together (we are 30 years old), nutrition is important for my man: so in this hotel meat was present every day (2-3 types: chicken, beef), fish (1-2 types of the simplest), seafood was 3 times in 10 days + Christmas dinner (about him - separately), from fresh vegetables (cucumbers, sometimes tomatoes, 4-5 varieties of cabbage, 1 time - pepper, stewed vegetables; from fruits: very tasty pineapples in large quantities, very tasteless watermelons, papaya in in large quantities (I don’t like it and can’t rate it), bananas (in large quantities), oranges. wine for lunch and dinner (any quantity) It was all about the "buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner" Never got weed, there was no turbulence in the stomach, everything was fresh (this is important for me), others everything was fine with that too. . There is also an a la carte restaurant, but you need to sign up for it in the morning, it seems to be in a bar on the beach, but somehow we never went, but people praised it (there was an evening of Cuban cuisine, another evening - Mexican cuisine, etc. kitchens). In addition to the restaurant where we had breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are 2 more restaurants: one near the pool away from the ocean (across the road), there are any cocktails, vivo, juices and some food (potato chips, something like cheese pizza , something like a sandwich, or a hamburger with ham or chicken). The food in this bar, frankly, is quite weak - only to kill the most hungry worm between breakfast and lunch, etc. This bar opens at 11.00, it seems to close at 18.00 or 19.00. The second bar - on the beach - is there only drinks (there is no food, although it is written that it should be there from evening to morning), it seems that they were just too lazy to cook. . . for drinks - everything is ok, any kind of Cuban rum, almost all European drinks are also present (I didn’t quite understand if this hotel has ultra all-inclusive or only Cuban drinks, but we drank everything, sometimes we left a tip (1 euro - 5 euros). In this bar, as in all others, the staff is slow, but there is one "European" bartender who tries to work beautifully, he is not at all sorry to tip, his name is Amario, he prepares very tasty cocktails, not only from the menu card, very positive pleasant bartender, speaks only English (in Russian - no). In general, for the first time in my life, I faced the problem of not understanding me 100% (in the resort area, almost everyone speaks English, because they take an exam once every 2 years, but here I came across Cubans who did not speak English - only Spanish and that's it! - sometimes I really wanted to talk, but nothing worked (if you don’t know Spanish, take a phrase book and a dictionary, I really missed them) The beach near the hotel is excellent - right in front of the bar, if you enter, you slowly go and deepen, if you go to the side - deeper gets faster (everyone liked the beach) Catamarans - free of charge, sunbeds - too (they are a little tattered, but not ugly). There are sailboats - they also ride for free (but without much pleasure - you come up, then they have lunch, then we have lunch, then you don’t feel like it in the morning, and after dinner it’s already windy and they say that the old sail can break ((( ). The sand is just super, the beach is clean, there are no algae! there are small fish (10 cm long) with teeth !! ! - otherwise there are no other living creatures, plants too. For all the time I saw one cabbage butterfly. Mosquitoes I didn’t see it on the beach, a little in the room (small and just a little bit). By the rooms: the hotel consists of 4 buildings. 2 on the first line of the beach and 2 on the second across the road. I really wanted a sea view, but they only 6 or 8 rooms and they are for a surcharge (10 euros per day per person, i. e. 20 euros per day for a double), they are always busy, they don’t queue for them, they say, they say come tomorrow, let's see who is leaving... we were settled in a building on the second line of the beach, we were upset at first, but then we decided not to change the room. in our building there were rooms much larger bigger and brighter. Our building was repaired either a year ago or two (there was no mold, there were no holes in the walls either, in the bathroom there was a suspended ceiling, tiles, not Italian, of course, but quite normal, there was no smell of damp either in the room or in the bathroom The walls in the room can be somewhat roughly plastered and painted, the beds are two pieces, we moved them and everything was ok (each of them is wide, in principle, save on one). , flowers from towels (we left her either 1 dollar, or 1 euro, or something from my hair clips. At the end, she wrote a letter, saying that I hope that the rest was a success, tra-ta-ta tra-ta-ta (everything was very nice) and modestly asked that she would be very happy if we left some of our things to her... it was a little strange, and they told me about this that their salary is from 10 to 25 euros, and European clothes cost very expensive... and then I realized that it was much greater joy for her to receive not 1 dollar, but some about T-shirts, dresses (ie. That is, it was possible to bring from home what you no longer wear, due to the fact that you are tired). . . We went on only one excursion - to Havana. The guide from Natalie Tours actively offered to ride, but the prices were very high. A little later, we were introduced to the Russian-speaking guide David, he studied in the USSR, he did a very good sightseeing tour (in modern harbor, colonial harbor and fulfilled our wish - to show us the life of real Cubans... tin... showed three levels of life.... Cubans are very easy to let strangers into their houses. . . in general, we liked it. . a little pity that we did not go anywhere (no entrance tickets, due to lack of time, at 16.00 we had to leave Havana, because at that time in The sun is already setting at 18.00. Probably 2 days in Havana - that would be the best. Of the small minuses - we asked for a good Cuban restaurant - and they took us to a very beautiful restaurant, but expensive and only for tourists, motivating by the fact that not everywhere you can eat without poisoning. lunch cost 25 euros with lobster (very tasty cooked, but waited a long time) and 17 euros without lobster, the guide did not eat with us, he sat separately, hiding, which was also strange. . . everything was very tasty, but I wanted a more homely, simple Cuban atmosphere, and we lost a lot of time for this dinner - an hour and a half. A dark-skinned guy (a complicated name - I don’t remember) at 11.00 on the beach is dancing on the sand and then immediately either gymnastics or dancing in the water - I liked it very much, very positively, the guy did a good job, he tried. Then at 16.00 the same guy taught dance lessons (salsa, cha-cha-cha, regiton, etc. ), very cool. . . everyone learned the basic steps! several times during the day some bands came to perform. for example, a synchronized show (they performed in the pool - not to say that everything was gorgeously rehearsed, but it was nice and positive - the guys tried. There was also a team - the guys sang and there was a dance lesson under them (it was a little difficult, but not bad). All day in the bar, on the beach, in general, there was a black gay in the hotel (but he didn’t annoy even my brutal husband), he was crazy about himself, danced, sang, moved, lit someone a little, in general, did something. but not to say that he played some role in my vacation. In the evenings at 21.30, a show program began at the hotel (various groups came - dancers, singers, magicians, after the program there was someone on duty to entertain, dance the people (something was very cool, something very small-town). offer something from the bar (they won’t ask, but they will gladly accept it, but don’t show it, because they can’t take anything in the bar! And, also, the nightlife of the Varaders in any case starts after 23.00 (Beatles cafe on 58th street and a salsa cafe on 63rd street), so everyone watched the show program in the hotel or entertained themselves... and only then went somewhere... but nightlife is a very loud word! By the way, those who lived in building on the first line, i. e. above the bar and the place where the show programs were held, they said that it was as loud in the rooms as on the street (but by 23.00 everything was over and only those who stayed in the bar were a little Hollywood). As for the animators, I can mention the mulatto dancer guy Alexei (it is clear that he is not yet spoiled by tourists, he tries and responsibly approaches his work; he dances in one of the teams that perform in different hotels and at the same time often spent in our hotel dancing lessons with the first black man, once he conducted classes, he hardly speaks Nagli and rarely smiles, but he really tries! a little French) but we found our youth and had a great time in and out of the hotel. Be sure to go to the Beatles cafe - I never thought that in Cuba I would meet such a level of performance !! ! - this is an open-air cafe (you will not pass by ! ). We got there at Christmas - the staff prepared an awesome delicious beautiful dinner (there was a lot of seafood, fruits (and even apples, which they have very expensive), it was very tasty and beautiful, the tables were full! The hotel is located close to the center, but the center - a very slippery concept (there is no town hall or square), in general, somewhere where the Beatles cafe is the center (from Delfines - 10-15 minutes on foot and you are in the center). center and did not regret!
