Minus: At the reception they almost understood Russian, which was an inconvenience for the parents who traveled with us.
The hotel itself, by Turkish standards, is close to five-star, if not for its modest size.
Several upset the nearest beaches, because of the rocky beach. If not for this, I would have returned here without thinking. And so, of course, only nissi beach. Quite a different matter than the beaches in the city center.
1) The hotel has a very good location: 5 minutes walk to the sea, 7 minutes to the center with shops and entertainment.
2) The beach is very good, clean sea with clear water, although to swim at a depth you still have to reach it, but for children, the sea is just a fairy tale.
We managed to lie on the beach only in the morning and until one in the afternoon, then the sun began to burn, but after 16 it didn’t come out anymore, there was a terrible wind and cold.
3) As for the vacationers of this hotel: upon arrival there were very few Russians, mostly Englishmen (couples and families), then Russians and an insane number of English pensioners began to appear. So, the hotel, one might say, is a family type.
4) There are no Russian-speaking staff at the reception, so those who do not speak English will have a hard time.
4) I liked the food at the hotel very much!! ! Many thanks to the chefs, everything is very tasty, well done!
5) I would like to add advice about excursions: do not take through tour operators, walk the streets, there are tour companies that do this, everything is the same, in Russian and much cheaper; )))
In general, we liked everything, we were satisfied with the rest!
The hotel was chosen randomly. We wanted to go to St. Napa, but there were no rooms in this hotel. The company offered anesis and did not regret it.
Upon arrival, we were met by a representative of the tour operator Prometheus Travel. We were handed a package with informational materials and escorted to the minibus.
And then the most interesting began. The driver asked what hotel you would like. In response, Anesis said that there was no such hotel in Cyprus and never was. He has been driving for 20 years and has never heard of such a thing. Showed the inscription on the envelope. The driver was indignant that what kind of sheep wrote this and took him to the Aeneas Hotel 5 *. He explained that it was not correctly written on the cover. At the Aeneas reception it turned out that the anesis did exist, but the driver had already left. I had to call the representative of the tour operator (the hotel kindly offered a phone). To our delight, the representative of the operator, Irina, solved the problem very quickly and the driver returned after 10 minutes and took us to an anesis.
Next, too, was not a big surprise. In the anesis they said that our room would be released only tomorrow, so they offered to stay for a day at the Nelya Beach hotel, which is very close.
When we read reviews about Cyprus, we saw that such situations happen often, but we didn’t want to waste a day at all (after all, it’s safe to move there) and we protested. We called Irina again. It turns out she was not aware that the number is busy. As a rule, in such cases, the hotel warns the operator in advance and make a small compensation to customers (such as a free lunch). After a long showdown with Irina's hotel, we agreed to move into the night for the night. At the same time, we were offered 50 euros or a refrigerator for two weeks as compensation. We agreed on a refrigerator. The taxi was provided by the hotel (to and fro when we moved).
But in the morning Irina called back and said that the room with a sea view, which we paid for, would be free only in a day, and as compensation, the hotel provided a refrigerator for 2 weeks, free drinks for 2 days (they wanted to offer lunch, but we had FB) and 50 euros. We agreed. To be honest, it would be cheaper for the hotel to accommodate us right away, but that's their problem.
On this, all the troubles ended, besides, the compensation was decent and they also lived in another hotel.
Nelya beach is located right next to the sea, but not far from the center. We got a room with a sea view, although the view was spoiled by an unfinished hotel (apparently it was abandoned a long time ago), but this is not critical. The rooms are quite spacious, a little worn, but overall not bad. The air conditioner worked well. But the second side of the hotel goes directly to the stamatia hotel (the distance is very small), so the rooms on this side are unlikely to please.
The food corresponds to the level of the hotel, I liked it, the cuisine is European. Here the system is all inclusive, Swedish so, the choice is not large, but quite acceptable. Live music in the evenings (even sing in Russian).
Overall, we enjoyed our two days at the hotel.
Now about anesis.
The hotel is newly renovated. The room is excellent, corresponds to the level of 4 stars, the view is also superb, on the sea. I advise you to pay extra for a sea view in advance, because they can settle on the ground floor (overlooking the fence or right at the entrance). Judging by the balconies, there are large rooms with a kitchen (family).
The food is a little more modest than in Nele, but in general it corresponds to the level of three stars, in any case you will not be hungry. Breakfast (European, eggs, nipples, croissants, etc. ) and dinner (a little richer, there are different types of meat, fish) buffet, lunch - menu. there are no special claims to nutrition, because more chibor will be reflected in the price.
Should I choose FB, consider that lunch costs the same as in restaurants in the city (of which there are plenty). So that one on one will come out. Moreover, drinks are not included in FB (by the way, they are very expensive on the island).
From fruits they gave melons, watermelons, oranges, apples and kiwi. peaches and apricots were not given (they are very expensive on the island).
Surprisingly, there were few seafood in Nell and Anesis (and they were few in stores).
The territory is not large, there is no entertainment (yes, they are not needed, because the sea is nearby)
In general, the hotel is good, for the money you will hardly find better.
Separately for the beach. The beach is very close.
The sea is excellent, just super, clean and transparent (only a couple of days it was stormy and there were algae). Sunbeds and umbrellas are paid (2.5 euros each). But money is collected only in the first half of the day, in the afternoon you can borrow for free, no one asks. You can also sit on the sand, but it is forbidden between the rows of sunbeds, and where it is allowed - there are not many places by 11 o’clock everything is occupied).
On Nisi Beach, the sea is generally amazing, but there are also disadvantages. It takes a very long time to go to the depth, besides there is a small strip of algae. Although it's worth it to go and see (the bus runs from the center, the cost is 1.5 euros).
You also need to take into account that all drinks on nishi beach are twice as expensive as near anesis, and it’s far from the center, so it’s better not to choose hotels there.
A few words about the nearby St. Napa hotel: the territory is larger than anesis, there is animation, outwardly the impressions are good, but I don’t know what’s inside, although if you take into account that it is first of all clogged, then it’s probably good.
The most accessible store is Plus (very close, around the corner to the right). The prices there are more reasonable.
Large selection of car rentals, ATVs, buggies.
I must say right away that Ayia Napa is a city in Cyprus that is simply necessary for any young person who loves a bright, fun vacation to visit! No wonder it is called mini Ibiza. All complexes remain on board the aircraft))) During the day - a beautiful cheerful beach, and at night world DJs play amazing music in the clubs of Ayia Napa.
Geographically, Ayia Napa hotels are divided for me into those that are located in the center, near discos, and those that are located near Nissi Beach (a stunning bay with turquoise water and a youth party). Here you yourself have to choose where it is more convenient for you to go - to the beach or to discos. Anesis is located in the center and there is simply nothing to do on the beach near Anesis. If you want fun, music and a foam party on the beach, you need to go to Nissi Beach. We took the bus there. 2 euros per person. Taxi there - 7 euros. How much a taxi will cost you at night if you live near Nissi Beach I can’t say.
Anenis is located next to the St. Napa hotel. To the usual beach on foot - 5 minutes, to discos 7-10, to Nissi Beach by bus 20 minutes along with waiting. In appearance - very nice with large balconies - terraces. The staff speaks English. We were not settled immediately, we arrived at 10, we were invited immediately for breakfast, we had to leave the bags in the luggage room, they said that our room was not ready and we had to wait. They offered to change clothes in the spa center and swim in the pool while the room was being prepared. We did just that. They settled us only at 2 pm... There were three of us, and when we went up to the third floor, something like a folding bed for a third adult was brought into our room. I immediately went downstairs and kindly asked - Sorry, but on the bed that they put us, the child can hardly fit! They convinced me - they say, ok, everything will be ok. While I went upstairs - we were already being carried a large, full-fledged third bed! Our room was huge! With two balconies, a huge bathroom. One balcony really went out to the main entrance and it was without walls and ceiling, so we didn’t even go there, the second was with a side view of the sea, which was sooooo “far away” and the neighboring hotel, with which we were separated by a dried ditch))) But still, we spent 80% of the time that we were in the room on our balcony. We also had a leak in the conder, but it was also immediately repaired. The fridge was open and we kept everything we needed there for free. There was a kettle and tea bags in the room.
The room was cleaned perfectly (even our shoes were put in a row and cosmetics were laid out), towels were changed every other day, the bed was changed once in 11 days.
The food was also very good. A bit poor breakfast, but we had enough of all sorts of buns, scrambled eggs and tea with milk. For dinner, there are always a lot of salads with all kinds of delicious greens, enough types of meat and fish, insanely delicious meat in sweet and sour sauce. Although once at a time it was not necessary - there is a lot of delicious things, that is, there is nothing special....For dessert, there is only one / two types of fruit, cakes and ice cream. drinks for a fee (account at the end of the holiday). The waiters are very smiling and pleasant. Your smile is very pleasant for them!
Along the beach, near the pier (there are pleasure boats) there are several Greek restaurants. Guys, this is something!!!!!! ! I still can’t forget the taste of those seafood: squid, dorado, mussels and all sorts of other yummy, which together is called Meze!! ! This "refectory ritual" (no other way to say) can be safely taken for two. And homemade wine. . mmmmm.... Fish meze 22-24 euros.
Great pool. Sunbeds are always full. It's very cool that every hour a Jacuzzi is turned on along the side. There is also a separate Jacuzzi. Plus there is a smooth entry into the pool, like a bank.
The only drawback of the hotel (maybe we got there) is that it is boring. Quiet music plays near the pool, in the evening it is generally quiet, everyone is silently chewing))). Rest or families or some bores. We were always raging in the pool, laughing at dinner, and all some kind of sedate pedants . . I just wanted to say: "People! You are in Ayia Napa! On vacation! Smile!!!!!!! " In a nearby hotel - St. Napa, screams and laughter were always heard, there were a lot of young people near the pool (we went there to look). Yes, and my girlfriend a year before that was at the St. Napa hotel - she speaks 100 times more cheerfully and the food is much tastier. But he was in stop when we were about to book.
But to the hotel itself - its organization, rooms, etc. no complaints at all.
In the center, according to my observations, the best hotels are Anesis, Sancta Napa and Napa Plaza. But to the beach anyway ONLY ON NISSI BEACH!!!
If you are of course with small children, then you can go to the beach nearby . . but in Ayia Napa there is nothing to do with children! There are many other places in Cyprus for a family, relaxing holiday.
In the evening, the most cheerful festivity comes to life in the city! Sitting in a room is a crime!
The hotel is excellent, there is a shop with fruits and groceries nearby, walk to the very center min. 10, the food was breakfast + dinner: quite varied for 3 *, there were always vegetables, meat, fish, fruits, and dessert at dinner, almost every breakfast the day is the same, however, as elsewhere!
I advise everyone to rent quad bikes and go to Nissi Beach, the beach is just super, white sand, the sea is unforgettable, on the beach every day from 12.00 the entertainment program, disco, dancing until you drop : ) Very fun! The beach is also quite possible to walk but it will be a bit far to walk about 40min-1hour!
Have a nice rest! Anesis-super!! !
