We went to rest from 28.07-4.08 2012 in Ayia Napa. We chose this place because of the good beaches and clean white sand, and so it turned out. The hotel is right on Makronisos beach. The sand is clean, the water is clear, the sea is excellent, a real pleasure to swim, the coastline is quite long compared to other beaches. On the beach all kinds of water activities. But the beach is municipal, umbrella + 2 sun loungers = 7.50 euros. You can also stay in front of the sunbeds closer to the water for free.
I want to note, of course, that the hotel is mainly for couples with children, so lovers of parties and entertainment should choose a place closer to Nissi Beach. But this did not stop us) Since we went to the center in the evening to have fun. Stop from the hotel in 3-4 minutes walk. Buses run strictly according to the schedule 101 to the center and 102 in the opposite direction, every 15 minutes. until 23.00 and after midnight - every 30 minutes. So from the club to return to the hotel is not a problem even at night. One way ticket 1 euro, after 23.00 - 2.50 euro. Taxi from the hotel is about 10 euros.
Separately for the hotel. I liked everything, a good 4-ka. The rooms are just renovated, all decorated in white, beautiful. Cleaning is daily, as is the change of towels. The food is a little monotonous, but probably everywhere) From the fruits there were only peaches, plums, watermelons and melons, oranges, nothing exotic) But, this is not the main thing) The main thing in a beach holiday is the beach, and it was lovely there) of course, if someone is afraid of the abundance of small children of different ages, then you are on Nissi Beach, although many said that the water there is very dirty, due to the large number of tourists. We weren't there. I repeat once again - a hotel for families or couples, since you are unlikely to find a couple for entertainment and new acquaintances in this hotel for single girls or boys. But the service, maintenance and decoration of the hotel is good. I read reviews where they write about the lack of air conditioning inside the hotel restaurant, we personally had one)) And the renovation at the hotel is excellent for 4 * in Cyprus.

The only negative is the lack of animation, but our goal was not to sit in the hotel, we looked at the island and walked in the center in the evening, so this was not a disadvantage for us.
Nearby was the DOME hotel, we walked around the territory there, a good place. I don’t know what kind of rooms there are, but in appearance the building is very personal and they have more palm trees on the territory, as it seemed to me. It stands a little further from our beach.
Separately about Ayia Napa. The center of the town comes alive at night. A huge number of clubs, young people from 18-23) You can dance and watch) But it's more like a drunken brawl) Because where there is the epithet "youth" - it always means "cheap" and "vulgar". Although I myself am 25, but apparently "youthful" is no longer for me. You can dine deliciously at Pepermill and Castelli restaurants. The average bill is 50 euros for two. You can find cheaper, a large number of bistros. But we were focused on good service, service and gourmet cuisine)
When we rode, we saw the Black Pearl ship passing by - huge, like from a movie. If we were offered one by the agency, we would choose it. So you can find out for him.
We also took an excursion "unexplored Cyprus", drove through the monasteries, tasted wine, rode along the mountain serpentine. I liked everything, we had a cool guide Arthur on Peugeot. I advise everyone to find out for him. Very cheerful, knows a lot about Cyprus, during the trip (the whole day) we learned everything about Cyprus with him. The story is very engaging and interesting. They took for 95 euros per person, this is a 6-seater minibus, comfortable with air conditioning. I advise you to take just this option, because for the whole day on a regular bus you can get very tired, and there are more people there. There were only 6 of us. And there 30)
In general, Cyprus is a cool place, you can go at least once, there is basically nothing more to do there, we saw everything in a week) And I recommend Ayia Napa, since we passed Larnaca and Limassol - the sand on the beach there is gray-gray, ugly, in Protaras the sand, although white, is sad there, not like in Ayia Napa.

Be sure to buy Muscat and Commander wines at the local winery, delicious wines.
Have a good holiday in Ayia Napa. We were personally satisfied with everything.
