In mid-April, it is still quite cool in Moscow, but I wanted to be warm. I chose Cyprus and was not mistaken! It was warm - up to 25 degrees, after the cold dank Moscow. During the day they wore tops and shorts, in the evening they wore jeans and windbreakers.
Chose this hotel based on reviews. I chose the budget hotel New Famagusta 3 *, in Ayia Napa. The town is very small (by Moscow standards), stretched along the coastline, but there is where to walk and what to see. Ayia Napa is a resort city, it has almost no local population, mostly they come for the holiday season. In April, the city is quite calm and quiet. I really liked the dedicated bike paths along the route and the wooden walking decks along the sea line. I had a rest from Natalie Tours, there were no complaints about the company: the representatives met at the Paphos airport, settled in the hotel, the hotel guide behaved correctly, answered questions in detail and did not impose excursions.
Hotel New Famagusta is located on the 2nd line, in the city. To the sea 5-10 minutes, depending on which way to go: if past an abandoned hotel, then - 5 minutes, if around the city - 10-15 minutes. The hotel complex consists of several 2.3-storey buildings. the territory is small, well-groomed. There is a small swimming pool, sauna, gym. Bar next to reception. The employees of the hotels are very friendly and attentive to vacationers. A Russian-speaking girl works at the reception. There are a lot of Russians and from the countries of the former USSR in the hotel, there are not many foreigners from far abroad.

The rooms are quite spacious, bright and with balconies. The room has a bathroom with bathtub, TV, refrigerator, hair dryer and more. The floors, like everywhere else, are tile. Safe - at the reception, for an additional fee. For a deposit, you can take an ault, an iron (then the money is returned). Cleaned well, towels changed every day, bedding - every three days. Several times left a "tip". I am satisfied with everything, because I came to relax, and not sit in the room and count the motes. The only negative is the thin walls and doors, very poor sound insulation, but this is the "trouble" of most hotels. Sometimes the neighbors returned very late and woke up the entire floor.
Nutrition. I had half board - breakfast and dinner, which could be changed if necessary for lunch. If there were long excursions, you could order a lunch box at the reception. We ate at the restaurant on the 2nd floor, buffet. Drinks for breakfast - free of charge, for dinner - everything is paid: tea, beer, wine - all for 2 euros. The food was very good: everything was tasty, fresh and varied, everything was in abundance. Often there was fish and seafood, especially delicious shrimp in batter. The waiters are very polite and helpful. Thanks a lot, everyone. The pastry chef made wonderful desserts. for which she received gratitude from the guests of the hotel more than once.
The Mediterranean Sea is simply wonderful: clean, transparent, turquoise, with a rather gentle slope. Unfortunately, the water was still not warm enough for swimming, although some were swimming. We sunbathed and walked along the sea. The beaches are sandy, clean, in front of the hotels are equipped with sunbeds. The city has a small port. Along the coast, towards Protaras, there are wonderful grottoes and rock compositions. The height is very high, it takes your breath away when you look down and you are splashed with splashes of waves crashing against the rocks.
The nature of Cyprus is simply amazing: majestic mountains, green valleys, emerald-turquoise sea in swirls of white foam. In cities, there is a lot of diverse vegetation. Trees, shrubs and flowers with bright exotic colors: palm trees, creepers, rodendrons, azaleas, cacti, etc. Olive, citrus groves, coniferous forests in the mountains. The famous carob trees.
Excursions. On our own, on resovye buses, we traveled around all the nearby towns, went to Larnaca. Were in Lefkara, Protoras. I really remember and liked the excursion to the Kiki Monastery, the Troodos Mountains (we took it in the city). There was a wonderful guide Natalya, a Russian woman who has lived in Cyprus for many years, who loves Cyprus and knows its history.

We were in Cyprus on the eve of Easter: all the towns are decorated with Easter compositions, very beautiful.
Cypriots are very friendly, hardworking and freedom-loving people. They adhere to old traditions, are very religious: to church, on weekends and holidays. families go. There are a lot of churches and monasteries in Cyprus.
I had a great rest and recommend the New Famagusta hotel for a budget holiday.
