The hotel is very decent. But going to it you need to know a few nuances so that the rest is not overshadowed by empty expectations. What I advise you to pay attention to:

1. Nissi Beach Hotel consists of 4 types of buildings - beach suites (the most expensive), bungalows with beach views, rooms in the main building with sea views (the one in the picture) and bungalows in the garden (the so-called garden view ). Bungalows are two-story houses with 8-10 rooms. The beach suites and beachfront bungalows are located between the main building and the beach, the garden view bungalows are behind the main building (closer to the road). Here is the first nuance. If you decide to save a little and take a bungalow in the garden, pay attention to the building number of your bungalow (there are 6 of them). Buildings 4.5, 6 - along the road, opposite the noisy disco, which is open until 1-2 am. If you sleep at night, ask the reception to start your number with 1.2 or 3 (for example, after a sleepless night in No. 629 I moved to No. 337).

In general, I advise you not to save money and take a room not in a bungalow (these are solid 3 stars), but in a seaview in the main building (that's where 4 stars are) - there is better furniture and a decent view of the garden with the sea.

2. No point in paying for HB half board. It is better to take a BB and decide on the spot whether the hotel kitchen is worth 11 pounds per person for dinner (about 800 rubles) without drinks. At the reception, you can pay extra at the same prices as offered by agencies in Moscow. I have only eaten at the hotel a couple of times. The cuisine is not bad, but for the same rather big money you can eat in the surrounding cafes (for some reason they are called restaurants there). True, the Cypriot cuisine as a whole left me with one disappointment. The style of fast food is clearly expressed in everything. Even a decent fish to eat nowhere. Opposite Nissi Beach, perhaps the only good "restaurant" Odissos in the area. After wandering for 4 days in search of a decent place, I dined there for the remaining days for 7-8 pounds per person.
There are only 3-4 good restaurants in Ayia Napa, according to the locals, and the cost of dinner for two there is 2 times higher than in the "restaurants" along the road. Breakfast in the morning at the hotel is the same every day - eggs in different versions, sausages, bacon, muesli, fruit, jam, tea and coffee. On day 3, I got bored.

3. The picture overlooking the beach is true, but keep in mind that most of the bay is actually not azure, but green. Because of the algae (such as mud) that inflicts on the bay. This is not very annoying - you can go to the part where the water is clear, but still there are expectations. Of the 12 days I spent there, the water in the bay was more or less clear (azure) for 1-1.5 days. According to the reception, it is impossible to guess what season the algae will be. Last year July-August was "dirty", and in September it was clean. This year the algae appeared in August.

4. Sand on the beach with a white tint. That is, light gray. The beaches are open to everyone (this is typical for Cyprus).

Towels are provided at the hotel for free, but you have to pay for mattresses and sunbeds (from 90 to 130 rubles per day per sunbed). Kibitki, where you can take mattresses, open from 10-00, close no later than 18-00. They can come up and ask to return the sunbed at 17-45. It is pointless to download rights there - local Cypriots behave with tourists rather unceremoniously, they know languages poorly. The beach is cleaned slowly. If they still somehow try to fight the mud (although they rather pretend, because there is no sense in their work), then the sand on the beach is lazily removed - by those who sell sunbeds in the morning - they pass with a net and pick up the most noticeable garbage. Although the beach is more or less clean.

5. On the beach you can meet tourists from 5-6 nearby hotels. Adams, Nissiana, Aeneas, Nissi Park, Nissi Beach. Having parachuted along the beach, I came to the conclusion that in Ayia Napa, Nissi beach is really the most decent one. Other first-line hotels have smaller beaches, dirtier (in the sense of mud), more rocky.
Probably for this reason, people from other, more distant hotels also come to Nissi Beach. There are many entertainments on the beach - from jet skis with different forms of "bananas" to parachutes and a very high bungee. The cost for a 15-minute ride is 15-25 pounds (2 dollars = 1 pound), i. e. about 1500 rubles. Not cheap. The contingent of vacationers is 50% British, the rest are Germans-Scandinavians-Eastern Europeans-Russians in approximately equal proportions. Many girls and grandmothers (Germans) sunbathe topless (I really liked the first ones).

6. If you are looking for a quiet respectable holiday - this is in Nissi Beach. If you are looking for a hangout with appropriate nighttime pleasures, this is Adams (the music does not stop there until 2-3 am). Married couples come to Nissi Beach, with children or aged. At Adams, groups of students for the purpose of getting to know each other, hanging out, etc.

7. Diving fans can relax. There is almost nowhere to dive. Is it possible to swim with a mask around the island of Nissi (the beach itself is called that because of it).
Bungalow rooms are cleaned every day. Prices for the minibar are awesome - nearby in shops in ce are 2-3 times cheaper. In general, prices in Ayia Napa are high not only for beach activities, but also for food. A package of milk - a pound (70 rubles). Kg of peaches or grapes - about a pound. There are many souvenirs, but they are either expensive or stupid.

8. The garden around Nissi Beach is really very big and beautiful. Palm trees, cacti, some outlandish plants, even citrus trees. Lots of flowers, cages with parrots. There are a lot of cats - no one drives them, so they rub under their feet both at breakfast and at dinner. Pelicans walk in Nissi Beach Garden. Sometimes they go to the beach. It is very funny to watch how they approach dormant people, begin to delve into their things with their beak (like magpie-crows). (they love to carry any garbage in their beak-goiter) People wake up, open their eyes, and in front of them is a huge beak ...One German woman screamed so that the pelican even pecked her out of surprise.
I laughed for a long time.

9. I do not advise spending money on excursions. I didn’t go myself, but I talked with other tourists - after the excursions, almost everyone was not satisfied and rated this event as “time and money thrown to the wind”. If you really get bored - you can go to catch octopuses.

For myself, I concluded that Nissi Beach is really the best hotel in Ayia Napa, but a tourist spoiled by Turkey from Ayia Napa should not expect too much from Ayia Napa - the Black Sea in the Krasnodar Territory is no worse, Cypriot service and cuisine, in general, that money what you pay is not worth it.
