How we rested in Cyprus
It seems that everyone has been to the sea, many have been to the Mediterranean, probably even more than once. However, who managed to visit the "unrecognized by the world community" NORTHERN Cyprus? Probably not many. Then read on, we were just there, we went to the May holidays.
In general, "unrecognized" all lies in the flight with a connection in Istanbul. Everything else, it can and is, of course, however, for the consumer of the service called "tour" remains absolutely unimportant, and does not concern us at all. Everything is them, the northerners, the Turkish community of Cyprus, relations with the southerners, Greeks, the 1974 conflict and its historical consequences.
And we, ordinary tourists, bought a tour to where our foot had never set foot before, got to the island, settled in a hotel, by the way, 5 stars, very decent, it's called Merit. Well, then according to the usual program "room-restaurant-beach-city-excursions-disco". As you can imagine, it's all there.
By the way, there are quite a lot of Russians, and not only in the hotel, but also in the city, where we climbed all sorts of fortresses and castles. And there's more than enough of that.
In general, everyone was in the resort towns. Kyrenia or Girne, as it is called here, is very similar to a small Antalya or other small resort town. There are restaurants, shops, and water parks. The food is tasty, of course, in the hotel, and not only. There are many small restaurants in the city, very inexpensive and with very tasty local cuisine. And they cook excellent meat.
In a word, go to Northern Cyprus, namely to Northern. The southern one is very reminiscent of Greece, there are crowds of tourists and everything is very expensive. Our choice is North!
