About the hotel. Rested in this hotel as a couple from 5 to 19 September. We decided to go on vacation on our own, and back in April I started looking for a hotel. According to reviews, I chose two hotels Nestor and Okeanos Beach Hotel. I wrote letters to them for a long time - no answer. Finally I decided to call them, one hotel just hung up (I don’t remember which one), and in the second they frankly said: “contact the library globe or natalie. ” The site www. hrs. com came to the rescue, it found only one hotel in Ayia Napa - Bella Napa, I read reviews about it. I wrote to them and received a response from them within two hours. To book a room, they demanded an advance payment - 25%, I will immediately tell our package tourists: this is quite a normal practice. The hotel is really not new, but we went to Cyprus not to sit in the room. The island does have problems with fresh water, so the hotel changes towels every three days. If this does not suit someone, then I suggest that those people go to hotels of greater stardom and prices. In our room, towels used to be changed more often (as well as bed linen), while we did not leave tea. Cleaned normally, qualitatively. Apparently, we were very lucky with the maids. There were a lot of little things in their work, about which to write for a long time and a lot, but as they say "a trifle, but nice. " We only took breakfast. They feed quite well. Probably like everywhere else in Cyprus. Everything is fresh. There is a Dalva girl at the reception. He speaks Russian very well. Well, I'm fine with English, so no problems at all. There were an incredible number of English pensioners in the first week of our stay at the hotel. By the end of our holiday, they moved out en masse, and our native Russian tourists also arrived en masse. The hotel is quite far from the center (a plus for us), but it was still impossible to sleep with an open balcony. Either the English neighbors are vigorously discussing something on the balcony at three in the morning, or our compatriots pretend to be roosters at five in the morning.

About the sea. The sea is amazing!!! ! In September it is 26-28 degrees. The nearest beach is five minutes walk, it is impossible not to see the path. But this is a somewhat overcrowded beach. We only went there for the first three days. Then we found a drop dead beach. Our hotel is almost at the exit of Ayia Napa. If you go from the city towards Cavo Greco, go to the footpath along the sea, about 15 minutes walk. This beach is not to be missed. There is a huge tree (it seems thuja). There are not many sunbeds, they stand at a sufficient distance from each other. Sunbeds and umbrellas, as elsewhere, cost 2.50 euros each. There is a bar van. The food is excellent there. What else is good there is the sea. The bottom is sandy only near the shore, and then - expanse for those who like to dive: look for shells and chase fish.

About food. On the first day we went to have lunch at Mezepolis. I took a salad. I regretted it: instead of ham and chicken, the salad turned out to be chicken skin and bacon. Out of 14 dinners, 11 times were in Petinos. A chic establishment. We got everything we were looking for there: Cypriot flavor, excellent food, good waitress girls, relative calm. I want to warn you: in restaurants in Cyprus, bottled wine is sold only in bottles (from 13 euros per bottle). By the glass they sell only homemade, if available. Petinos has it. 3.5 euros for a 0.5 liter jug. Unfortunately, they serve meze for at least 2 persons. And each portion of meze is a strong bust. I also noticed that there are still many who go to them every day. In my opinion, this is an indicator.

About shopping. You should not look for a practical simple fur coat in Cyprus. I won’t describe the trip to Limassol for a fur coat - I don’t want to remember the lost day. Souvenirs cost about the same everywhere. We ended up in the traditional house-museum of Ayia Napa. It is in the very center of the town, next to the church. Basically a souvenir shop. His family is holding: Cypriot-Russian. Accordingly, the husband speaks good Russian. In general, he is very pleasant to talk to. When we looked at products from the famous Lefkara (silver and lace), he said that in Lefkara these same things are much more expensive. The next day we had an excursion just to Lefkara. He didn't cheat. But more on that later. They also help to arrange tax free. We returned, though not much, only 7 euros, but we bought another bottle of wine in duty free with them.

About excursions. Tours are really expensive. We went for two. Evening excursion on donkeys. In the season it cost 74 euros. It cost us 64 euros per brother. The most important thing in this excursion is not a ride on donkeys, but a feast and a show. Dimitris respect and respect. I will not tell, I urge everyone to go on their own. Second excursion: Nicosia-Lefkara-Larnaca. The coolest thing was a walk through the old city in Nicosia. Old streets, UN peacekeepers, panoramic tower. If you are going to the Turkish part of the city, take your passport. In Lefkara we were brought to some kind of exhibition hall. There, prices are actually 40-50% higher than in the house-museum in Ayia Napa. You can bargain. But they give little time in Lefkara. True, we managed to go aside, and found that in small shops the prices are no longer overpriced, as in this exhibition hall. In general, it is better to go to Lefkara by car. So that there was time to choose, to talk. Nothing to say about Larnaca.

A fly in the ointment... A fly in the ointment in Cyprus is the arrogance of the Cypriots. Ayia Napa, a tourist town, the entire local population is engaged in tourism. That is why Cypriots appeared on the beach only on weekends. But even with such a regime, they managed to amaze with their bad manners. We usually settled down on deck chairs in the shade of a tree, local natives arrived - a family of six. And spread out thirty centimeters from us. Although they had umbrellas with them and there was plenty of space on the beach. Further worse. The shadow from the tree began to shrink, and the Cypriot lady put her seat right next to our sunbed. Of course, I understand that she was chasing a shadow, but you should not be impudent to such an extent. But I realized that this is the way it is.

Outcome. Rest was a success.
