It was my first vacation trip abroad. . . We went with my boyfriend through Moscow, from Nizhny the planes had not yet flown to Cyprus. We got there perfectly, at the airport I was met by a guide from a travel agency. As soon as we got on the bus, the guide began to tell the history of Cyprus, as we were already dropped off))) The hotel is small, urban. Located 10 minutes walk from Mackenzie Beach and 20 minutes walk from the city centre. The hotel itself is located in a residential area of Larnaca, where it is very quiet and peaceful. A lot of Russians rested at the hotel, all the staff, except for the barmaid from Africa, spoke Russian well. We really liked the hotel. A familiar manager in a travel agency suggested choosing 2 *, explaining that in Cyprus the level of service is higher than in Turkey, Greece, that 2 * in Cyprus is no less than 3 * in other countries. I subscribe to her every word. Cleaned the rooms every day, cooked delicious. The choice of food is not huge, but quite varied. Every evening they prepared some interesting dish. I especially remember moussaka. This is a type of potato casserole with meat and vegetables. Just lick your fingers. We took half board, but we ate too much) We went to a cafe a couple of times. Once in a cafe near the hotel (right down the street towards the sea). They tried "Mix gril" - different meats (chicken, pork, kebab, beef bone), mushrooms and grilled vegetables (photo attached). We ate one serving together and for only 8 euros. Undoubtedly, the main feature of the Cypriot cuisine is the fish meze (fish platter). We went to eat it at the "Fish Restaurant", so it was written directly, in Russian. The portion cost 14 euros. We were warned that we couldn't do it together, so our compatriots (from Moscow) joined us with great pleasure. Two servings of this wonderful dish was enough for us to overeat)))
A separate topic for conversation is Cypriot and Greek beer. I'm a big fan of beer))) Not in the sense that I like to get drunk with it often, but sometimes for mood, with some delicious snack. . . Mmm) In general, we found 3 types of beer in stores in Larnaca: Keo, Lion and Mythos. The first two are Cypriot, the last one is Greek. All are very tasty, not similar to domestic ones. We especially liked Keo - such a pleasant, rich taste, not bitter, but not water either) We brought 2 packs of 0.33 l jars home - to try our parents and friends - everyone was delighted. Cypriot wine also turned out to be unique. Who would have thought that for 90 euro cents you could buy a box of fine semi-sweet red wine. And this is not a "yupi", but a real wine with a rich taste. In general, from 90 euro cents to 3.5 euros you can buy different wines and not be afraid that it will not be tasty. Brought as a gift to relatives - everyone loved it. Cypriot wines are now sold in some shops in our city, and we sometimes indulge ourselves with them)))
Let's go back to the hotel. Its main plus is the price))) But I assure you that it is not the only one. Air conditioners in each room (serviceable! ), bathroom, TV, furniture (of course, not new, but quite decent), a balcony (on which we spent all the evenings). Every evening we first walk through the streets of Larnaca, sometimes we went to local bars, and then returned to the hotel . .

A woman or a man (there were two of them) was sitting at the reception - everyone spoke good Russian, very polite and friendly. There were two beds, and they moved wonderfully)))
Once we went on a sightseeing tour of Cyprus: we were in the Troodos mountains, the Kykkos monastery, in the village of Lefkara (it is famous for its lace, there was also a very beautiful chapel, the name of which, unfortunately, I don’t remember), we passed the capital of Cyprus - Nicosia. We really liked it in the mountains - black pines grow there, so there is an unusual mountain air with a pleasant coniferous smell. It's so easy to breathe in the midday heat. . .
For those who like to hang out, it is better to go to Ayia Napa, and for those who like a relaxing holiday, it is better to choose Larnaca. But this does not mean that in Larnaca there is nowhere to go for a walk, dance. All this is easy to find on the central streets of the city; )
Impressions of Cyprus were extraordinary - I hope we will definitely return there! It is possible that again in the hotel Larko! )))
