We have been traveling the world for many years. We visited many countries. This year we decided to go with our daughter and 4-year-old grandson. It took a long time to choose a warm and safe place to stay. The choice was stopped in Cyprus. In September, the weather is great there, the sea is always warm and, most importantly, you don’t need to go to Moscow for a visa. In Cyprus, we rested in 2011 in the city of Ayia Napa at the Grecian Baj 5 * hotel. We still remember that amazing journey. We saw almost all the sights of the island, visited churches and monasteries, admired the mountain landscapes, walked along the narrow streets of Ayia Napa... We were imbued with love for the country and its benevolent people. It was one of our best trips.
This time we chose the hotel "Palm Beach" 4 *, which is located near the city of Larnaca and the airport. And they never regretted their choice. A small incident occurred only when checking into the hotel. We are not Muscovites. To get from Tver to Vnukovo, we took a taxi on 17.09 at 21.00, then waiting for a flight at the airport, flying to the island... We arrived at the hotel on 18.09 at 9.00 completely tired. An exhausted little child without sleep and normal food was capricious. They asked us to check in early, but they politely refused. And even when they approached the reception at the indicated 14.00, they asked to wait for more. I understand that rules are rules, but there must also be simple human sympathy.
We settled in a nice small room on the 4th floor. The main thing is that there was a safe, a refrigerator, a TV with 4 Russian channels, a hairdryer, an electric kettle with coffee and tea sets. The bathroom appears to have been recently refurbished, with plenty of soap, shampoo, bathrobes and slippers. The room was cleaned daily, towels and bed linen changed. The staff is very polite. Almost everyone speaks Russian.

The territory of the hotel is very small, planted with palm trees. Immediately along the facade of the building there is a swimming pool for adults, to the right of it is a children's pool. To the left of the pool is a summer restaurant, and behind it is an unprepossessing playground with a minimum of buildings and a water slide, on which one of my granddaughters rode. There were hardly any children on the playground. Trestle beds with umbrellas were located three steps from the pool. The beach is about 6 meters wide with very strange sand. Then I realized that this is a land with pebbles. At the entrance to the sea there are a few pebbles, and then 40 meters you walk along the sandbar to the very breakwaters. The water is incredibly clean and clear. The sandy bottom is ribbed, and sunbeams play on the surface of the water. Breakwaters run along the entire coast of Larnaca. There is a distance of 20-30 meters between them, and here it is deep and you can swim far into the sea. The vodka is very warm. Small waves were rare. There were no jellyfish. In general, we are in paradise. Silence and complete relaxation (this is not Tunisia or Turkey). In our hotel, cards were issued at the reception to get beach towels. In a nearby hotel, a towel cost 2.5 euros and a trestle bed 2.5 euros. Pay attention to this when buying a ticket. Near the hotel there was a pier where you could rent any boat, ride a jet ski, parachute… September is the peak of the holiday season, but there were always enough trestle beds by the pool and by the sea.
Now about nutrition. We took breakfast and dinner. The hotel has three large restaurants and many bars. Breakfast from 7.00 to 10.00 in the restaurant on the 1st floor (to the left of the reception). The set of products is standard: scrambled eggs, a variety of omelets, porridge, bacon, sausages, beans, sour cream, several yogurts, dry mixes, various nuts, honey, jams, butter, 4-5 varieties of sausages, several varieties of cheese, delicious pastries, especially liked the croissants. In the morning fruit only in the form of sweet salads. Juices are delicious and real. Tea, coffee, cream. You won't leave hungry. The restaurant was always clean, there was enough of everything and you could feel the care of the staff. Dinner was rarely at the basement restaurant, but more often at the outdoor restaurant by the pool. On the first day we were lucky - it was a wine festival. Tables were placed along the pool, where locals sold souvenirs. There was a huge vat of grapes crushed with their feet by two men in national costumes. And then there were many tasting tables with local wine. We tried this delicacy. I liked the wine. There was always a wide variety of dishes at dinner: all kinds of salads, smoked fish, freshly salted herring, jamon, a lot of deliciously cooked meat and fish, fruits and ice cream, a whole showcase of delicious cakes. On the first day, a carafe of wine was presented to each table. On ordinary days, all drinks are for money. We also got to dinner, where they served barbecue on wooden skewers from fish and all sorts of meat. We also tried a freshly cooked fragrant ham - a huge pork leg baked in spices. Every day, different varieties of deliciously cooked fish, mussels were often given... We went to dinner with caution, p. ch. everything was very tasty, but this “everything” is undesirable for women. Every day in the evening a musician sang, several times they watched incendiary dance shows. Dinners were held in a friendly atmosphere. I note that the hotel has always had a calm atmosphere, conducive to relaxation. Always polite, helpful, good-natured and smiling staff who know their duties. Many thanks to them for this welcome.
The entire first floor is a reception, a restaurant, bars and a lot of corners where you can relax from the heat and relax on soft sofas. Shops are also located here. In the basement there is an evening restaurant, a hairdresser, a gym (towels for the beach were also given out there), and administrative premises. The hotel had a free sauna. Across the road from the hotel was a "supermarket" where we went to buy water. A five-liter bottle of water cost 3.15 euros. There was also a bus stop nearby to Larnaca.
It so happened that the last three years we were not very lucky with the hotels. These were countries and cities where we had already been. In Vietnam, we ended up in a hotel where there was no beach, but a descent to the sea along 23 slippery steps and a constant wave that knocked you off your feet. In Corfu, almost everyone had an intestinal infection. Last year we were in Tunisia, where music was blaring (!!! ) all day long, and the restaurant was constantly dirty and bad food. And we despaired. Choosing a hotel is a very serious step. Staying in a bad hotel can spoil not only your mood, but also harm your health. From the current trip there were only good impressions. A very decent hotel. We recommend to everyone. Of course, young people may not be interested in such a relaxing holiday, but for the elderly and families with small children, this is the most suitable place.

We wish everyone a pleasant stay and good memories for many years to come, and many thanks to the hotel staff for their professionalism and kind attitude towards people!
