Hello to all lovers of Cyprus and those who are just about to visit this wonderful island!
I'll start right away with a description of the hotel.
So, the Kapetanios 3 * hotel, the hotel is located in a privileged area of Limassol, not far from the city park. This area is also called “Russian” by the locals, because a sufficient number of our compatriots live there. The beach is really located 100 meters from the hotel, you have to go through one house and cross the road (the traffic light is nearby, but when the traffic is not very intense, you can even without a traffic light, since we “Russians” know how to cross the road))))))). The beach is city / municipal, so the contingent is different ((((If you stand facing the sea, then on the left about 30 meters there is a “rental” of sunbeds, and if you walk along the sea towards the Old Town (to the right), then you can find not only sun loungers, but also a cafe, with a toilet and, in my opinion, even with a shower.

But we swam, right “under the hotel”, in this place there is a magnificent entry into the sea (sand) and there is no algae. Well, probably everything about the beach, back to the description of the hotel! No, not all, I read other reviews about the beach and was “terribly surprised”, it turns out there are only stones, well, the width of the beach is 5-6 meters, huge blocks lie between the footpath and the sand itself, there are pebbles on the sand, but ENTRY INTO THE SEA _ GORGEOUS, we talked with the locals, so they really love this beach!
We arrived at the hotel around 10 am, and check-in from 2 pm. At the reception, we were greeted with a smile and asked how we got there, asked for passports, and offered to sit in the hall on soft sofas for about 5 minutes. Then we were given the keys to the room and wished us a pleasant stay. Immediately, I note that there are almost no fluent Russian-speaking staff in the hotel, but the staff try very hard to understand us and explain to us.
One of the chefs is fluent in Russian, although we did not specify Russian, or he just knows our language well)))))
We lived on the 2nd floor in room 205. The view was on a neighboring house, balcony to balcony. But this did not bother us, we were in the room only at night)))).

Description of the room (I remind you this is 3 *): a small room, the furniture is a bit old, the dressing table is large, but has seen a lot, the same applies to the TV cabinet, and in combination with the mini bar, this furniture attribute is locked, so use it in as a refrigerator it will not work if you do not pay for the mini-bar service))), the bed was 2-bed, but one of the bedside tables was with some buttons, pens)))) in short, in appearance, or a radio , or a remote control for something ....
we pressed and twisted everything, but nothing worked)))) It is worth noting the lighting of the room, since the windows overlooked the neighboring building and you can’t open the whole curtain, then there really isn’t enough light in the room, especially if you try to make up your face, dry it hair))))
(by the way, in our room the hair dryer was located in one of the dressing table drawers)
Regarding the bathroom: we had a bathtub with a curtain, a completely normal toilet and a sink. The mirror, however, fogs up very quickly if you take a shower and the door to the room is closed (in short, there is no ventilation), although the ventilation is replaced by a small window right above the bathroom)))))
THE ONLY MINUS - wet and bad smelling towels! ! !

I want to immediately note that I do not find fault with the room, I just describe what was in it, we did not look under the beds and other furniture, we did not examine the room for dust behind the plinth, we did not meet cockroaches and other living creatures)))))).
We were quite satisfied with our room, and acquaintances from another room overlooking the pool said that we were very comfortable)))))

The air conditioner worked perfectly, the room cooled quickly and almost silently!
The TV shows 3 Russian channels: ORT (1 channel), RTR Planet and music.

Let's move on to the description of the hotel itself: indeed, there is always an employee at the reception who will help you solve all problems. We did not find two declared restaurants, there was one small but quite cozy, there are really few tables in the restaurant, but there are tables next to the pool on the street (you can also sit there). Never had a problem with accommodation! !
The service of the waiters is unobtrusive, you will not have your plate torn out of your hands as soon as you decide that you have finished your meal.
An indicator for me was that the waiters know the elementary rules of etiquette and service (for example, at the PARK BEACH 3 * hotel, also in Limassol, there is a review - the waiters are not familiar with etiquette). Somehow at breakfast, unbeknownst to myself, I dropped my napkin, so the waiter simply offered a new one)))).
Our food type was HB (breakfast and dinner).
Breakfasts in all triplets are the same: fried bacon, sausages, beans in tomato paste, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, canned fruit, sour cream yogurt, cereal, butter, jam, honey, muffin / cake, quite decent juice .
Dinners were varied and very tasty, I am 100% sure of this, since I rested with my husband, and he is very picky about food. Three times a week there were theme nights (Greek/Cypriot, Italian), guest singers singing (on other days these singers were seen in other restaurants) and dancing! Accordingly, the menu was closer to the subject.

Sample menu: boiled potatoes, rice, stewed or boiled vegetables, beef, pork, lamb, chicken, once there was even a baked turkey, fish fillet, Greek salad, boiled beets, shrimp salad, salad with boiled red fish, sushi / rolls , Caesar salad, sweets (muffins, cakes, jelly), fruits (apples, bananas, oranges, watermelon). All drinks at dinner for a fee, you can pay either immediately after dinner at the checkout (in a restaurant, next to the pool) for cash, by the way, no one asked for a tip, or upon departure. The cost of 1 liter bottle of non-carbonated water is 1.7 euros, tea is 2.3 euros, a glass of wine is 3.5 euros! ! ! The food was really tasty and there were no cases of poisoning! ! ! ! Dishes are always clean! ! ! The bread is fresh! ! ! The tablecloths on the tables at the beginning of dinner or breakfast are clean, they change as they get dirty! ! !
The hotel is really very well located, as I wrote above, the locals like to arrange night races, and the engines roar so that they lay their ears, and so all this is almost inaudible in the hotel! ! !
If you go towards the tourist area (to the left, facing the sea), you can get to a very good restaurant "LIDO". The owner always greets guests himself, the menu is in Russian, there is a Russian waiter, a very nice guy (he has been living in Cyprus for a long time). There is a ritual in this restaurant, you order dishes, and while you are waiting, they bring you wine (white, red, of your choice) and buns (oh, this is something unusual, I write it myself, and my mouth is drooling)))))) )). After 10 minutes, the dish itself will be brought. The cost of meat meze for 2 is 24 euros, just don’t eat everything, burst)))) For example, my husband likes lamb, and Lido has it very tasty, so a portion for one costs 10 euros, you don’t even have to order a salad, t . to.
along with the meat (about 5-6 pieces) they will bring you french fries and a few slices of cucumbers and tomatoes.
Before reaching the LIDO restaurant at the traffic lights, go up the street parallel to the Kapetanios hotel, you can find a cafe with shawarma, I advise lovers of this dish to try, very tasty, 1-shawarma is about 3-4 euros, depending on the filling, one is enough to satisfy the hunger of an adult man.
If you walk past the cafe, then in the very last house there is a supermarket, the price of water is 1.5 l-0.49 euros, the cost of wine, which in the old town costs 7-15 euros, is 3-7 euros cheaper)))) The same with rahat- Turkish delight, nuts! ! ! The store is 2-storey, another floor is located in the basement, where you can find cosmetics and everyday life. chemistry, sausage, bread, cheese, etc.
If you cross the road in front of the supermarket, back to your hotel, you can find a very decent greengrocer there (decent prices).

It is very expensive to use ordinary SIM cards from our operators, so I advise you to buy a SIM card in any store (mini markets along the embankment) cost 12.5 euros, 5 euros on your account, 50 SMS for free, the cost of a call to your homeland is 0.12 euros, only if you do not speak English, ask the seller to activate the card!! ! !

If you walk to the right of the hotel, then, slowly, you can get to the old city, there are a lot of shops, but be careful and don’t buy souvenirs in the first place, after a couple of shops you can stumble upon the same souvenirs, but at a lower price! The only one I can advise is a large shop on the roundabout, they sell wonderful soap with olive and essential oil.
In the old town you can see the fortress where Richard the Lionheart got married! ! !
The street with shops runs parallel to the embankment, so hikers can walk to the hotel along this street, it’s a bit far, of course, and there’s not much to see! ! !

We are not the first time in Cyprus, so we limited ourselves to excursions, but it is worth seeing the Kykkos Monastery, visiting a private winery, having dinner in a mountain village. It is better not to take bus tours if you are young and not burdened with children, but to go by jeeps or rent a car. The cost of excursions is about 40 euros per person, if you take a car, then the cost of one day of operation is from 50 euros (Golf, Pollo ... ) + a fee for a full tank of gasoline, if you fill a full tank upon returning the car, then the deposit for gasoline will be returned to you. Our friends took it, they really liked it!

We also really liked the water park in Limassol, you can buy a ticket from the guide, the cost is 29 euros per adult, but you will have to get to it on your own by bus, for example.
There is a stop opposite the hotel, the bus runs 2 times a day there (at 9-30 and 10-45, at our stop it happens at about 9-45 and 11-00, but it's better to leave early) and back (15-45 and 17.00). The fare is 1.80 euros per person

You can travel along the entire coast by bus number 30, fare 1.5 euros.
Have a nice holiday! ! ! If you have comments, wishes and objections, as well as more questions, write to e-mail: notik25@mail. ru I will answer everything! ! !
