The best beaches in Cyprus in terms of the location of hotels are Protaras, one can argue, but for me it’s for sure. I can’t call the Golden Coast hotel fashionable, but only positive memories remain from staying here. Half of the rooms with a direct view of the sea, the reverse side is agricultural land, with such a view they settled. The standard rooms themselves have updated interiors and furniture, pleasant bedding and furnishings in general, but the balcony is ugly, there was not enough strength to repair it)). The main delight is the beach and the territory of the hotel. Between the building and the beach there are several swimming pools for adults and children, there are also a couple of slides. Further, when descending to the beach, there are 3 terraced areas with sun loungers on the grass under palm trees without crushing for those who do not want to pay on the beach itself, umbrellas and sun loungers are quite decent, there are no problems with beach towels. The beach itself is located in a kind of bay with a relief bottom, shallow sections alternate with deep ones, protected by a breakwater with a walking path from the Church of St. Nicholas, and along the harbor in the other direction. There is a volleyball court on the beach, where animators invite vacationers every day. Yes, yes, Russian-speaking animators, while yoga, aerobics, water polo, darts and bocce are organized, there is a tennis court with equipment rental, all water and motor entertainment. In the evening, either live music, or organized karaoke, or sports on TV on the big screen in the bar near the lobby. There is a separate part of the hotel, so beautiful and so secluded in the greenery, a little away from the main infrastructure, where weddings take place, and they walk until the morning, while absolutely not disturbing other vacationers to sleep peacefully. I liked the cuisine of the hotel, both breakfast and dinner are quite hearty and varied. From the hotel close to the central part of Protaras, you can get out for an evening walk. In general, a moderately active holiday in a comfortable and beautiful place, I recommend it.
