At the hotel we were also very nicely greeted, smiling girls gave out a plastic card - an electronic key to the room, we got up and began to get comfortable.

Room, service.
The room is cozy, with everything you need, a wonderful bathroom with excellent fixtures, everything sparkles. A balcony with plastic furniture overlooks the neighboring hotel "Iliad", has side views of the sea and a piece of the beach, on the other hand - to the main street of Protaras. There was absolutely no noise from the street. Some installations were noisy on the roof of the Iliad Hotel, but I can’t say that it interfered much - because of the closeness, the balcony door was almost always closed, the room had good air conditioning, the double-glazed window closed very tightly and no sounds were heard from outside. And when they sat with a glass of wine on the balcony, the noise was already perceived as a background, in general, it did not interfere.

The hotel is part of the Tsokkos Hotels chain, quality is felt in everything.
They cleaned the room every day, if you want to change the towel, you have to leave it on the floor (we left it on the beds or on the balcony - everything changed regularly).

We rented a mini bar (£.1 per day + £.3 deposit which is returned upon check out). We did not rent a safe (it is available in the room), nothing was missing from us. The TV does not have a Russian-language channel, they did not particularly use it. The room has an electric kettle, cups and glasses - very convenient.

Beach, pool, grounds.
The hotel beach is a large grassy area with umbrellas and sunbeds, which is very carefully cleaned every day, the lawn is cut. There is enough space for everyone, at any time of the day you can easily choose sunbeds. Some occupy them in the morning, but it does not make sense. Beach towels are issued with a deposit of £.5 each.

Directly behind the clearing is the municipal sandy beach, where umbrellas and sunbeds are 1.25 pounds per day. There is also plenty of space.
The beach is simply gorgeous, amazingly clear sea of unusual emerald-turquoise color. Despite the fact that the beach is sandy, even near the shore the water is absolutely clear. Directly opposite the hotel is a small rocky area, where entry into the water is inconvenient, but good for snorkeling. Many different fish, small crabs. They say that sea urchins come across and it is better not to step on rocky areas. Two steps away are beautiful areas with a sandy entry. We are completely delighted with the sea - the purest and very warm water.

During the day, an animator girl works in English - quizzes, games, contests, water aerobics and volleyball in the pool are offered.
The pool is small, of different depths, there is a children's section. Cleaned every day with a device similar to a vacuum cleaner.

The territory of the hotel - the actual beach, swimming pool and tennis court, nothing else. All very well maintained.

All the hotels that we saw in the center of Protaras do not have a large territory. Here on the outskirts - there is.

Nutrition.
Meals - half board. Breakfast is standard, but the choice of dishes is quite large. Dinner every evening is themed - Mediterranean, Cypriot, Oriental and other cuisines. A lot of everything - vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, soups, desserts, ice cream. You can always choose delicious food, although there were incomprehensible spicy ingredients and tough meat. Drinks at dinner for a fee. The waiters work very well, quickly, with a smile, the atmosphere is very pleasant. Live music once or twice a week. If desired, dinner can be replaced with lunch, but it will not be a buffet, but a choice from the menu, and also drinks for a fee. We did it once, everything is very nice, the portions are just huge.
I also want to note that the dishes always sparkled with cleanliness, there was a huge amount of them, large plates were heated, tables at dinner were served with 4 forks and knives each!

Protaras.
A cozy resort village with many bars, restaurants, shops, amusement parks. The section of the beach where our hotel is located, as well as the neighboring "Iliada", "Sunrise Beash", "Vrissiana Beach", "Constantinos the Great", "Capo Bay" we liked the most. In other places, they saw a rocky shore, where stairs were equipped to enter the water. During a boat trip, we saw a good beach at the Golden Coast Hotel, but this is already a suburb, it takes about 40 minutes to walk to the center.

A big plus is the complete absence of mosquitoes and mosquitoes, not a single jellyfish in the sea! Very hot and humid, but there was always a pleasant light breeze.
We climbed the hill to the Church of St. Elijah, from there wonderful views open up. The church is interesting both outside and inside.
We went to the show of dancing fountains, really liked it (6.
9 pounds for 1 ticket without dinner and drinks).

From the pier near our hotel we made a boat trip (8 pounds per person) to Cape Greco with a 30-minute swim in a very beautiful bay with unusual blue water, very clear. Then they sailed to Famagusta, watched the ghost town from the sea, listened to the history of these places (in English).

Excursions and trips.

1. Wine festival in Limassol.
We were picked up from the hotel in a car, brought to Ayia Napa to the Melissi Hotel, a minibus with tourists approached, in which we got into and on the way to Limassol we gathered a few more people at the hotels. The return trip is the same way. We arrived in Limassol to the city park, where we were given plastic bottles in which you can collect the wine you like, and entrance tickets that can be exchanged for a bottle of wine in a glass bottle.
We agreed on a meeting time for departure and were released for an independent walk (approximately 2.5 hours). There are a lot of varieties of wine presented at this festival, you can try everything. On several stages there are performances of various groups (songs, dances). Also a huge amount of all kinds of food - fried, baked, sold. There is an exposition showing all stages of wine making. People walk, drink, eat, have fun. We tried plenty, and also took it with us. It was very fun and interesting. The tour cost 30 euros per person.

2. Cruise to Israel.
This trip made an indelible impression. I will not advise everyone to definitely go, everyone decides for himself, but we have emotions over the edge, we are very pleased that we went, although an adventure happened. A detailed story about this cruise is placed separately, in the topic "Israel". And here is the basic information.

Motor ship "Salamis Glory", August 29 at 18-00 departure from Limassol, bought tickets from the guide, $ 450 per person, double cabin with portholes, bathroom and toilet on deck "D" ("Diana"). The cruise is very well organized, a pleasant pastime on the ship, paperwork (visas are not put in passports), excellent air-conditioned buses, Russian-speaking guides, meals. The excursion program is a visit to Bethlehem (Church of the Nativity of Christ) and Jerusalem (Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Calvary, Wailing Wall, Gethsemane Garden, Church of All Nations). It is even difficult to describe my impressions, they are so strong! Return to the port of Haifa, sailing, and then there was a collision with another ship. Our ship was not injured, but the cargo ship sank, killing 2 people. This state of emergency delayed us in Israel for more than a day.
Lunch was organized, then we were once again issued visas on separate pieces of paper, in addition to the program we visited Nazareth, then we were taken to Tel Aviv, the airport. Ben Gurion, and sent by plane to Larnaca. From there they were taken to hotels. Once again I repeat that the trip is wonderful, the impressions are indelible!

3. We traveled on our own by regular bus to Paralimni and Ayia Napa (15 minutes to go). Tickets are sold by the driver, 80 cents, the bus runs every 30 minutes during the day and every hour in the evening, all this is written at the stops.
Paralimni is a town where the local population lives, serving both resorts (Ayia Napa and Protaras). Its center is decorated with three churches, one of which was built in the 12th century, the second - in the 17th century, the third - in the 80s of the 20th century (the largest, active). Walked around Ayia Napa, many hotels, clubs, restaurants, good beaches. In shops - everything is the same as in Protaras.

The work of the host.
Very well, all agreements were clearly observed, the employees with whom I had a chance to meet were nice and friendly people, there were no problems. The return transfer was also in a car, only the two of us were being transported.

When choosing a place to stay, your reviews helped me a lot, maybe mine will help someone. Thanks for reading. If you have any questions - ask (galanzh@list. ru), I will be happy to answer.
