I wanted to spend the October part of my vacation somewhere by the sea. I and my relatives do not like to fly far, a maximum of 4-5 hours, so the direction was chosen in advance - Cyprus. In early October, they promised air about 27-29 C, and water ~ 25-26 C. Just right.
After consulting with friends and experienced, this time Natalie Tours became the tour operator.
It is more difficult with the hotel, most of the reviews are good, the choice was such that it was just dizzying. As a result, having listened to the advice of a work colleague and experienced people on the forum, Sunrise Beach Hotel 4 * was chosen, located on the coast in the center of Protaras.
The flight took place on 06.10. 2010, without delay, by Transaero Airlines. The flight was not long, only 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Arriving in Larnaca, we received our luggage, at the counter of "Natalie Tours" we found out our bus number and went to board. At 9.30 am local time it was 23 degrees Celsius. After the Moscow zero is already good. While the tourists were taken to Larnaca and Napa, we reached Protaras, it got hot until 28.
We arrived at the hotel at 11:15. In theory, they have a check-in from 14-00, but they didn’t bother us, they immediately gave us a room, gave us orange (freshly squeezed) juice to drink.
At the reception, on the first day, we got a girl who spoke Russian well. She explained to us where she was, the food schedule, the work of bars, etc.
Room 227 with side sea view, quite spacious, 25 meters. Double bed and two single beds, two armchairs, table, chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables, large mirror, TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar. The furniture is not old. Everything works. Balcony. It also has a table and two chairs. Slippers in the wardrobe. True, there is no bathrobe, but in rooms with sea views I saw people on the balconies in hotel bathrobes.
We got beach towels from a special person, and he also assigned us free sunbeds with an umbrella on the grass on the left side of the pool (if you look at the sea). By the sea, sunbeds are paid. 2.5 euros for an umbrella and 2.5 euros for a sunbed.
Towels are changed in the morning, and in the evening they are handed over only to those who leave the next day.
Meals were taken by FB. Only all drinks for lunch and dinner are charged.
They fed very well. The breakfast buffet, the choice was great though, and everything was repeated every day. Coffee, tea, juices for free. The waiters offer coffee in large coffee pots, and you make tea yourself.
The waiter team seems to be international. Most are Cypriots, but there were also fair-haired girls, with the names of Ivan, Anna. Two spoke Russian well, Rita and Anna. Yes, and the chief manager of the restaurant understood Russian. The bartender from the Otello bar also spoke Russian well. The rest spoke in English. Everyone knows English everywhere. But they always greeted us in Russian, even the maids on the floor.

For lunch, a choice of dishes from the menu (in Russian). Portions are big. If you take soup, salad and a main course, it is not realistic to eat everything. By the way, dessert was also included in lunch, ice cream, cake, etc. The waiters brought the ordered dishes, water, beer, poured wine.
It was possible not to take lunch. Cafes and restaurants on Protaras street at every step, there are even mini supermarkets, McDonald's. Or at the hotel restaurant for money from the same menu.
For dinner, too, a buffet, but more specifically. Seafood salads, vegetables, Caesar, fried meat, chicken, fish, potatoes of various preparations, lasagna, greens, vegetables. For those who want pizza. The baked meat from the knuckles is cut off piece by piece by the cook himself. From fruits, black and white grapes, melon, plums, apples, bananas, fruit salad. And dessert. Various cakes, mousses, pastries.
It is customary to dress for dinner in normal clothes, men - a shirt, trousers. I didn't see anyone in shorts and T-shirts.
At the entrance to the restaurant, the manager meets everyone and, after asking the number of people, sits them down at the tables. The waiter comes over and takes your drink order.
Live music every day during dinner. Once there was a magician and once again, the dancers danced Cypriot dances.
The weather was good. The sun was shining, the temperature was 27-28 degrees. They didn’t get out of the water for 40 minutes. Only once it dripped rain. After a couple of hours the clouds cleared and the sun came out.
The sea is clean. Beach and sunset in the sea - sand. The depth starts somewhere about 50 meters from the shore. There are places to swim. Two hundred meters from the shore to the buoys. And the same number between the boat piers on the sides. There are water entertainments - parachute, banana, water skiing, catamarans, boats, jet skis.
The contingent of the hotel consisted of 95% of the British and Germans. The ratio between them was 50 to 50. There were many families with children and people already aged. There were very few Russians. 10-12 people can join us.
All evening entertainment was outside the hotel in bars and restaurants on the street. But, fortunately, double-glazed windows saved us from the heart-rending cries of night karaoke lovers.

We met with the representative of "Natalie Tours" Tatyana on the second day of our stay. She asked us about problems, which fortunately were not, found out a couple of everyday questions at the reception, offered us a program of excursions. We did go to one of them in Famagusta. It was the closest travel option.
It was nice that no one bothered anywhere and did not impose their services. Not on the beach with a massage, not in shops, not on the street. Even if you didn’t buy anything in the store, you will still be thanked at the exit for stopping by.
The bus arrived at the airport at exactly 7 o'clock in the morning. The thermometer showed 21 degrees of heat. Didn't want to leave. The plane of the Transaero company took us from the still warm Cyprus to the already cold Russia in some places. In Moscow it was snowing with rain, it was 2 degrees above zero.
With great pleasure I will visit Cyprus again and it is possible that in the same hotel.
