My unhealthy relations with the Czech Republic are no secret to anyone on this site, especially on the forum, every time I have a lot of places I would like to visit, and Prague is just a disaster, I always want to go there.

Olomouc was an inaccessible city for me. The first time I did not get back in 2007, there were two tours of one tour operator with a difference of one day, which differed only in the presence or absence of this city, and the fact that the tour with Olomouc had to take a guide who really wanted to go. As a result, the tour from Olomouc was not gained and we went to the Czech Republic with a great guide, but without Olomouc. This was my second Czech Republic, after which I realized that the third will definitely be ahead.

The second time I didn't go to Olomouc was in 2010, when I was going on tour with another tour operator, but I was not issued a visa, and again I didn't get to Olomouc.

Since then, I can't say that Olomouc has been my goal, but I wanted to see a city that was so resistant to the meeting, if possible. Therefore, when something interesting happened after Olomouc, it was kept in bookmarks. Although not much has happened, because the region is unpopular with our compatriots.

In 2019, the idea of the trip arose spontaneously, everything was done in a month - hotels, tickets, travel plan. At first I really wanted to tour Austria and northern Italy, which gathered at least 50% of my desires and dreams. But the total cost of the tour was quite high, and the dates were not perfect, so we decided to choose something for more suitable dates, but more budget. For me, in cases where you need a budget, there is always a ready solution - Prague. And always the question is - what to do there n + 1 times? As a result, what to do sketched, and, as always, the desires were more than days.

Transport has traditionally been frustrating, because buying tickets a month before departure to Prague is no longer a budget, but most importantly, you still need to get to Kiev from my favorite city, which has an airport, but you can fly a little. As a result, the idea of flying Prague has become very uncomfortable, because if from the moment of departure from home to arrival at the place, almost a day passes, and the flight is very small, why such planes?

The alternative came unexpectedly, trains and buses are ours. Last winter we launched a new train to Uzhgorod. She started monitoring options for how to get from Lviv-Uzhhorod by bus. She mentioned the Leo Express, a bus ride to Koš ice and a train to Prague. I looked at the scheme of movement, and the train goes through Olomouc, and Prague disappeared. And Olomouc and Brno reappeared.

Why did Brno appear? Because next to the castle Lednice, which has always been impressive, but not enough to go there in one day from Prague or Vienna.

As a result, the plan turned into the following: Dnipro-Uzhhorod train, then Leo-Express to Olomouc - 5 days Olomouc (departures: Bouzov, Stenberg, Ceshi-pod-Kozyrem, Krimryzh) - 5 days, Lednice, Valtice, Vranov- nad-Diyie, Znayomo, Jaromerzice nad Rokitnomu) - transfer to Prague, day in Prague and departure to Uzhhorod in the evening. Although the plans were larger, I am already writing the actual route.

The weak link in this scheme was the night transfer by bus and sedentary train. But in fact it turned out to be quite normal.

I recommend Leo-Express to people with strong nerves. The bus arrives in Kosice 15-20 minutes before the departure of the train. Almost the entire hour of moving from Uzhgorod to Kosice - crossing the border. From the reviews of Leo-Express it is clear that they do not always have time for the train. We were lucky.

We were detained at the border, the drivers were already nervous, we were 7 minutes late on schedule, but after a sprint race at the Kosice station, we saw that the train was still closed, cleaning was underway, and it was 5 minutes before departure. In 1.5 minutes the train opened and went on schedule. In Olomouc we were 40 minutes late, it was even profitable for us, because according to the schedule we had to arrive in Olomouc at five in the morning, but in reality it is closer to six. Not taking into account the lottery with crossing the border, everything else in Leo-Express is quite satisfied.

All movements were planned only by public transport - trains and buses.

Moravia conquered - calm, beautiful, no crowds of tourists, the balance of historical sites-beautiful-nature. For the first time, Prague did not affect me at all after the whole route.

Krimrzy and Lednice were the expected gems of this trip, but there were many more interesting places that actually turned out to be better than expected.

So, my Moravian necklace.

Olomouc is a small, comfortable city of fountains and temples, with a concentration of historical monuments.

Olomouc Zoo Olomouc Zoo - great location and ideal conditions for animals. Giraffes are my favorites.

Olomouc Zoo

Basilica, Olomouc Svaty Kopecek Basilica . Atmospheric place, I recommend.

Bouzov Fortress Bouzov Castle . I'm not a fan of fortresses, more castles, but this time all the fortresses impressed.

Stenberk - a small town with a well-preserved historical part, a fortress, a monastery.

Chesky Castle near Kozyr Cechy pod Kosirem Chateau is an example of a caring attitude to history.

Kromeriz is a pearl of UNESCO.

Brno is a city from which I did not expect anything.

Brno

Lysice > - a pearl found by chance on the query "What to do in Brno".

Pernš tein Fortress Pernš tain Castle . It didn't take long to look, but then it turned out that he slept well with Fox.

Lednice Castle Stá zni mek Lednice is the main reason why it ended up in Moravia.

Valtice - neighbor Lednice:

Crows-over-Action Castle Stá tni zá mek Vranov nad Dyjí - wow effect of this trip .

Familiar - a city that deserves attention if you find yourself on the road.

Jaromirice nad Rokytnou Stá zá zá mek Jaromerice nad Rokytnou is an unexpected beauty in the hinterland of the Czech Republic.

My favorite city, which this time did not please the loud crowds after a quiet province. Place - Prague.

Прага

I recommend this region of the Czech Republic for travel. You can find something interesting and unique for every taste.
