Three years later we flew back to this hotel. We were given a room in a house by the ocean, having learned that this was the second time they had.
The hotel is still good. The rooms have been updated. The territory of the hotel is well-groomed. Food in restaurants has become more diverse. The ocean is wonderful.
Of the minuses: the staff is less smiling, there are significantly more Russian-speaking vacationers (introducing unnecessary "color" to the rest of others), hotel services have become more expensive (flowers in the room, photographer services).
Excursions. Last time I didn't manage to visit Samana. Let's go this time. Impression? Honestly? I don’t understand - we drove somewhere for a long time, flew, swam, jumped, to look at the pelicans for 5 minutes, go into the cave, see the waterfall, and at the same time almost all the time without a guide... We just got terribly tired of the tour. In general, a dubious pleasure...

Catalinita VIP is another matter. True, this time we were a little unlucky with the weather, and there was not enough time in Saona. But in general - rich, informative, a good guide and company.
Of course, the second time there is not such a thrill from the Dominican Republic as on the first trip... but we added the "novelty" of Cuba (we spent a week on Liberty Island), so there were plenty of emotions from the rest.
