Rested in August 17. The hotel complex is huge, each hotel suits different groups of people. Baia Esmeralda is mainly for families, there are other Baia for young people and noisy companies. Settled in the second building near the pool. The room is spacious, bed linen is very clean, cleaned every day. The room had good air conditioning, which saved the day from the heat, replenished every day a mini bar with non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. The hair dryer, however, was rather weak, perhaps this is due to the low American voltage in the outlets. The beach is very clean, they try to clean the algae in the morning, but in the evening they gather again, but this is a feature of the local nature. But no jellyfish and big fish, or even worse ones : ) The only drawback of the beach, and probably the only serious minus of Esmeralda, is the busyness of the beach. If you do not take a sunbed in the morning, during the day you can only count on the most distant places. But going just to sunbathe in the Dominican Republic is boring. We took several excursions, to Saona, there were no “Apollos” and “mermaids” on the beach except for our group, on other excursions we rode horses and a helicopter. Be sure to take it. I will return to the hotel. Nutrition. Here we did not find significant shortcomings. There is a huge choice of restaurants, we liked Italian and Japanese. Some need to be booked in advance, but you need to go to all. A lot of fruits and meat products, but you can find something for every taste. Personal advice: borrow sunbeds in the morning, before the trip, buy adapters from the euro (our socket) to America (theirs), well, take more cash only in dollars. Thanks to all.
