The first visit to the main Carnival Buffet restaurant during dinner was a little overshadowed by an aboriginal cockroach crawling along the wall. Well, the room was immediately embarrassed by the fact that only 3 bath towels and one under your feet. Then it got better with towels, but there were no bathrobes and slippers. Everything else was regularly supplied, except for sweets and programs for tomorrow. Our room 2311 (on the plan in the Punta Cana building) was located somehow so that, with a cleaning schedule until 17:00, it was cleaned at the end of their working day, and if this is prevented by your presence in the room, it may remain uncleaned. And much later, they deliver the program and when we are at dinner, you could find it in the room with small Kisses sweets. But if we were already returning from dinner, then the announcement of the next day simply got into the room through the gap under the door.
Our room did not have a bidet or a bidet. The bathtub is already separated from the room by glass. Probably, after many questioning reviews about this moment, during the renovation of the hotel, the wishes were taken into account and inserted. In addition to the bathtub with hydromassage, there is also a shower and a toilet, separately enclosed by a satin glass door, as well as a washbasin with a countertop. Standard 800 W hotel hair dryer with short nozzle and no attachments (Genebre 1786).
For some reason, there are 2 single beds in the room. The equipment corresponds to the descriptions and can be seen in the photo. Of the unusual - this is a watch stand for an iPhone, a coffee maker and an ironing board with an iron. Of the alcoholic drinks in the minibar, only beer. The rest of the space is crammed with sugary sodas and Coca-Cola stills, plus a couple of sachets of juice. Tea, coffee, sugar - in abundance. It may be useful to grab an HDMI cable from your gadgets, because the Audiovox TV has 2 corresponding connectors, as well as a “tulip”. You can download movies to your tablet at home and watch them on vacation. Because there is only one Russian channel and it broadcasts already outdated TV programs.

The room has a fairly spacious balcony with a conditional view of the pool - it is somewhere on the right. And in front of the balcony in the daytime the fountain makes noise. And palm trees, when the wind - as if the rain is constantly falling. In the evening until 22:00 (once before midnight) great music is heard. For that the main restaurant is nearby. Air conditioning and fan hardly used. On rainy days at night it was even somehow cool.
Upon arrival, with a handed glass of champagne, it was offered to buy for $ 25 per person per day a settlement in the "Preferred Club" - such as an ocean view, a separate pool and places in restaurants, as well as Wi-Fi in the load. Maybe something else, but we were not interested, so we did not delve into it. It was only later noted that this had enough disadvantages. The left side of the prefect club rests on its own pool, but nothing happens near it. And the animation in this hotel is excellent! Also, the rooms of this club overlook not only the ocean, but also the rear of one of the restaurants, from where smoke from the grill could go through the windows, and there is also a toilet where vacationers can walk past the club pool...
The other wing of the Preferect Club does not have these disadvantages, which is from the side of the water sports center - it is really zoned there. But then again, the restaurant on the shore where the entrance is only for members of the club is not very cozy in windy weather. Although, club vacationers can go to the main restaurant, where the administrator takes them to a separate room. And a Jacuzzi the size of an ordinary bathtub on the balcony is a curiosity, but not for everyone. Those who have a hot tub at home know, if they read the instructions, how much trouble it takes to disinfect such sanitary equipment. Therefore, if you visit a public hydromassage, it is better by the pool - there the water does not drain and is constantly disinfected. And few people know how they take care of the baths in the rooms.
The beach is good, the seaweed is removed. Coral slippers and snorkeling equipment are not needed. A lot of equipment for entertainment and games is provided free of charge - from a ball to kayaks. But the equipment that requires fuel or the services of an instructor is paid. There is also a "glass bar" on the beach and the waiters also offer drinks. Umbrellas are stationary - during the day you will need to carry sun loungers around them if you need shade. After breakfast, such places can already be occupied. But people from our latitudes with such a time difference will not find it difficult to get up early to mark the sun loungers at the umbrella they like with a towel or personal belongings (we didn’t hand over towels in the evening for this, but changed them in the morning - it opens at 8:00). If you do not appear near the marked places for a long time, then the Americans, warmed up by heat and alcohol, can ingeniously push your sun loungers out of the shade zone, noisily settling there. Towels are not touched - just the umbrella has moved)))

On the beach you can play volleyball and more. Every day, an instructor with those who wish is engaged in gymnastics, which is reminiscent of colonetics. There was a disco on the beach at night.
On the territory there are different types of sun loungers. Some more, others less comfortable. "Pavilions" at the entrance to the territory of the large pool have sockets. Near the central pool from 10:00 a bar begins to work and music plays. Also there the whole day does not calm down the animation. Once a week, water attractions are inflated and located on the right side of the large pool. Foam events take place here several times a week. For lovers of silence, another pool is suitable, which is called so - quiet. If you expect to rest near it all day, then looking towards the ocean, choose the left side, because near the right one they can prepare for the wedding ceremony in the afternoon. They won't kick you out, but you'll still feel uncomfortable. . . There are many such celebrations in this hotel, sometimes several a day. By the way, nothing happened on my birthday. I was not listed in the announcement of the day, nor was anything unusual brought to the room. I asked for interest later about this at the reception - I understood their answer in such a way that you need to approach and report...
With the Russian language, few people here will help, except for your guide and one of the hotel concierges by the name, it seems, Egor. In general, the staff is polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds are nice and well maintained.
The "second line" of the hotel was not explored. Only in the evening on a golf cart we were taken there to an Italian restaurant. In addition to the same food, you will get some thematic accents and a change of scenery - worth the trip. But living there is an amateur. This is their Gaden View and is quite far from the beach.
Dining at the hotel resembles the general scheme of foreign resort catering, but goes beyond it with the amount of fruits and fresh juices! During the day you will always find where to eat. Alcoholic drinks are represented by elite alcohol and local bottling.

Visiting restaurants is not a complicated procedure - you do not need to sign up. Only some have a live queue, but there is where to sit, and something interesting is constantly happening nearby. Well, they pour it, of course)) Only a French restaurant has a dress code. And in a Thai restaurant, you don’t walk around the buffet tables - there you will be led by a group, they won’t feed you anything special, but they will demonstrate show cuisine. You won’t be able to sit there for as long as you like - they will escort you out in the same organized way)
The hotel takes more not quality, but quantity. Cosmetic repairs were already done in a hurry - there are traces of the fact that it was carried out. For that there is a cinema and a bowling alley. There is a pharmacy and boutiques near the lobby - urgent needs are not a problem to meet. But it is better to take coffee, rum and cigars in a supermarket, and souvenirs in a Russian store to the left along the beach. There are beautiful views for photos. Cigars are spun a couple of times a week near one of the restaurants to the left of the main pool - you can try and buy. But in the local supermarket, we saw the products of the same factory cheaper.
Spa, fitness and services for parents and their children were not interested. There are ice generators on the floors of residential buildings. Those wishing to meet the sunrise on the ocean in May should be there exactly at 6:00.
The cost of the Internet in the hotel has already been forgotten. There are different tariff plans, but all of them are much less profitable than if you use your smartphone, turned on to the Internet access point mode, to distribute data transmission from local mobile operators. Upon arrival, we hurried to buy an Orange SIM card with 1 GB of traffic at the airport for $30. Speed ​ ​ is not good. And when the traffic ended, they bought a Claro SIM card in a local supermarket. They have better speed unlimited traffic. At that time, a day cost $7 with a SIM card (without - $2), 7 days - $20.15 days - $32.

The only outing from the hotel was to the nearby San Guan shopping mall. There is a free shuttle service from the hotel. There, in the grocery market, coffee, rum and cigars were purchased. They turned out to be cheaper than in the hotel and in the Russian shop on the beach. But creams and oils were bought cheaper in the same shop. Take a camera on the way there, clothes so as not to burn on the way and fruit for a pair of parrots in a cage. There is also some kind of shopping center nearby - we drove past it. But they were not there and if you wish to visit it, then it is not far for walking.
Excursions were not attended. You can’t call something expensive that you didn’t try, but even the colorful description of the guide did not inspire. Something seemed unreasonably expensive, something tiresome. Or to pass the steering wheel to some unfamiliar tourist while riding Hummers in the outback. And something with an all-inclusive system simply did not make sense. The stories of tourists vary, so it's up to you.
Departure airport. Near the place of your disembarkation from the car, porters are organized in a queue, but it makes no sense to enlist their helpfulness, because the distance to all your possible destinations is 10-50 m and you will be visited by a feeling of misunderstanding for which you part with a tip.
Wrapping suitcases in film cost $6 or €5 and is not carried out as well as we do in Boryspil. And if the operator of the packaging machine has gone somewhere, then another such machine is in another terminal, where you need to decently go. The terminals are open, there are no air conditioners - only ceiling fans. Dress lightly as it is hot. The baggage drop-off field at one of the airport sections of all passengers going to the next checkpoints, smartly dressed girls line up in a row and take pictures of each passenger in turn. This is not a veiled reception of the Dominican security service, but the work of local entrepreneurs who will offer to buy a photo further along your route for either $10 or $12. Therefore, if you are in a hurry, you can bypass the queue for taking pictures.

Those who travel with Air France should remember that each suitcase must not weigh more than 23 kg. If you have 2 of them, and one is 18 kg, and the other is 28 kg, they will not miss. And you will either have to repack in front of people on the sidelines, or return to a more secluded place for the same actions, but then stand in a new queue for registration. EF, of course, kindly offers free packages near the scales for unloading excess weight from suitcases, but it would be better if they put the scales not at the end, but at the beginning of the queue. The same may be with other carriers - be careful.
