My wife and I rested in this hotel in 2011, it was our first trip to Egypt and abroad in general, which is probably why my rating is above average for all reviews.
We arrived at the hotel at about 10.00 in the morning, our hotel was the last one on the way of the transfer and we saw several previous hotels where people were dropped off, including the Hilton 4 *, as a result, our AMC turned out to be much better outwardly. According to the stars they write 4 * somewhere, and somewhere 5 *, when I bought the tour, it was written 5 *, but the cost was about $ 950 for 2 people for 8 nights. Upon arrival, we were quickly within 20-30 minutes. they settled in the room despite the early arrival and we went to breakfast, no one asked for money for anything, but I myself gave $ 10 so that the windows were on the sea. I really liked the phrase: "We don't give out bracelets to anyone, because we have everything for everyone. "
We had a standard room, everything is very nice, a plasma TV, a huge bed, a working air conditioner, in general, everything is as it should be. From the room there is a cozy balcony with a table, in the room there is a free safe and a free minimar mineral water, Pepsi, Mirinda and 7ap, tea, coffee, sugar, el. kettle, all this was updated every day during cleaning as much as you drank. They cleaned every day and it was good, a couple of times I left the cleaner $ 1 each, but he did not make ducks out of sheets.

The hotel has a gym, billiards (though only American and the table is not very good), massage for a fee, disco, hookah (also included in the all-inclusive), 2 swimming pools and 2 restaurants - 1 main and 2 Italian, you can go to Italian every evening for Dinner is free and during the day for a fee. I really liked the food, everything is delicious, a lot of meat, fruits, I don’t like sweets, so I don’t know, but the assortment also seemed to be good. The disadvantage for some was that every day everything is almost the same, literally 3-4 dishes are changed, but the general assortment is good and, as for me, there was always plenty to choose from. The Italian restaurant had pizza, pasta, seafood, well, in general, standard, though delicacies are always for money. For alcohol, they poured everything that is at the bar for free and in unlimited quantities, to taste - I didn’t like beer, I didn’t drink vodka and so on, I drank mostly rum with Pepsi and cocktails, rum is delicious, cocktails are of course simple and C grade, but you can drink and no one seemed to be poisoned by anything. All alcohol is locally produced.
Entertainment and animation are weak for me, there is some kind of entertainment room for children, but I don’t have children and I didn’t find out what was there and how. There is no water park in the hotel, there are a couple of mini slides for children, the hotel is on the first line, but the corals near the coast are dead and there is no very great beauty, although some fish swam. They sell different excursions, I bought a trip on ATVs through the desert not from a guide, but at a hotel and 2 times cheaper than from a guide, I was very pleased. The hotel is far from the city center, but a taxi is $10 - which is quite affordable.
The only thing that slightly overshadowed the trip was that because of the revolution they were not allowed to visit the pyramids.
Most of the vacationers are Russians and Ukrainians, there are few foreigners, but everything was cultural without drunken fights and other things, as they say.
I really liked the hotel, as I say: simple and tasteful. He definitely deserves his 4 *, probably a little short of 5 * - luxury is not enough, although the hall is very beautifully done.
In terms of price-quality ratio, it would be hard to find a better one.
If someday I go to Hurghada, I won’t bother with choosing a hotel and I will choose AMC Royal Hotel. (but when I rested in it, it was called not Royal, but Resort - but he compared it for sure from the photo).
