I chose this hotel for the third time not by chance. On my first visit it was a normal 4 by Egyptian standards. The hotel was part of the Sinbad structure. I had no complaints about food (it was very funny to dedicate every day of the week to the cuisine of any country) - a wide variety of hot dishes (meat, fish, chicken), pastries (cakes, pastries, buns), salads (even with a sea cocktail ), neither to the room (we lived in a suite), nor to the service (cleaning, waiters). Loved the fries on the beach and 4 varieties of ice cream. In the machines - sprite, cola, fanta, hibiscus, coconut milk. In 2005, for me, an inexperienced tourist, the rest seemed fabulous.
In 2009, the level was already much worse - ice cream disappeared, the food was plentiful, but monotonous every day, the rooms were only partially renovated, obsolete TVs and air conditioners. However, as an already experienced tourist, I understood that for such a price it is difficult to demand more. Yes, and I went only to swim in the sea (and the beach near the hotel was excellent), and to visit Karnak again.
However, what appeared before me in September of this year may well qualify for a horror movie script.

It should be noted that earlier in this hotel tips were asked politely. This time, I didn’t have time to hand over my passport to the reception, when the arrogant Arab immediately began to openly tell me - if you want a good room, pay money. I basically give baksheesh only when everything is done as it should be. I didn’t give money, I got a normal pretty number. But another woman, who put $ 10 in her passport, was awarded a room with broken plumbing without windows.
When I arrived for dinner, I was horrified. In the "troughs" with food were: stewed beans, rice, potatoes and eggplant. It's all!! ! Name cards for dishes were not observed. Two salads without dressings. One cake. Empty tables for food. And this is at the very beginning! I sinned on Ramadan, but after two days nothing improved with its end. For a week, they gave chicken twice (Vernet what we call a soup set) and 1 time stewed squid. There are no boiled eggs and limes for tea at breakfast (grow on site). The dishes are all chipped, poorly washed, smells like dirty rags. On the beach, disposable glasses and spoons are collected, washed and reused. Sprite and cola are poured by the waiters. When you ask for a second glass, they look at you as if you owe them a million. There is no food on the beach! Do not trust Tez Tour catalogs. For three days the entire hotel was showing signs of disinteria. It turned out that drinking water had run out and they poured it into the cooler from the tap! The guide at the hotel understands the tourist only when he sells excursions. Does not respond to complaints. When trying to switch to English (I speak fluently), I disappeared at the end of the corridor.
Animation deserves a separate description. Usually in Egyptian hotels it is zero. However, here Mashrabiya claims the first place. At the Miss Hotel contest, the lady, having increased her degree, first took off everything, including underwear, and then from her husband. Under the joyful cooing of the locals, they walked along the beach in this form and finally fell asleep on the sunbeds by the sea. It is not clear where the beach security was looking. Rather, more than understandable. In the mornings, one of the animators, with children lying nearby, enthusiastically engaged in petting with various tourists, offering to come to his house in the evening. Dances with striptease elements were also arranged in a billiards cafe, where all the waiters sat instead of working. One of the tourists stole money from the room. They rounded up a crowd of people who could do nothing but shake their bags. At the time of my stay, the hotel pool was being renovated. One of the workers attempted to rape our tourist in the evening. In this case, she was saved only by the fact that they were with him in different weight categories. However, the worst nightmare began when locals came here for three days of celebrating the end of Ramadan. Food was organized in two shifts with a line from the time of the Lenin Mausoleum and was not reported on the principle of “who did not have time, he was late! ”. On the beach, they made a row of sunbeds by the sea, where the Arabs reclined, looking at our swimmers and fumbling in their shorts. In general, as it turned out later, this hotel is intended for the lower social strata, they often give free vouchers there.
They cleaned my room once in a week. Everywhere hair of various genesis. Traces of lipstick on linen with pellets. And as it turned out at the airport, you could also pick up lice.

If you want to spoil your holiday - feel free to go there!
And I'm not going to Egypt again.
P. S. I have been there and in expensive hotels. The difference is insignificant.
