We chose a hotel for the New Year holidays for a long time, on the whole it was successful, below is a brief report.
(For the sake of objectivity: it was not the first time in Egypt, we are familiar with the general level of 4-5 star hotels).
1. Interiors:
For the sake of the beauty of the hotel, we basically went - the hotel is new, the territory is large and well-groomed, quite a lot of greenery, beautiful lighting in the evenings. I was pleased with the abundance of stylish and cozy cafes, where it was always pleasant to sit over a cup of tea. The style is not quite common for Egyptian resorts - a kind of oriental-modern eclecticism with European elements.
The room is very spacious, about 45 sqm; the bathroom has a rather comfortable shower corner (not a cabin and not a bathtub). The rooms are cleaned quite normally, regardless of the presence of a tip in the room.
2. Beach and pool:

The pool is huge, only one half is heated, but the water in this part is very warm - the children did not get out for hours.
The beach is spacious, with comfortable wicker partitions from the wind. The best places, of course, were occupied in the morning, but there were always enough sunbeds for those who like to sleep until late. Entrance to the sea on prickly pebbles, long shallow; a convenient entrance is through the beach of the neighboring Beach Albatros, there is sand, although the depth begins almost immediately. In general, there are no corals, but there are enough fish. Of course, there is much less interesting for divers than in Sharm or (even more so) at less popular resorts like Taba.
3. Nutrition:
Negative impressions are mainly related to the kitchen; despite the abundance of restaurants (4 restaurants, 4 cafes + a feeder near the pools), the food is not particularly varied, and quite so-so to taste. Breakfasts, as well as a salad bar and desserts at dinner, are identical in all restaurants, main dishes and side dishes are also mostly the same. In fairness, it should be noted that each restaurant has always had at least 1 "own" dish that distinguished it from the rest. The Italian restaurant was preparing fresh pizza, but completely tasteless, with the wrong cheese. The choice of fruits, as in general in more decent hotels in Egypt, is rather poor, instead of juices they serve diluted chemical muck.
Due to the abundance of food outlets, there were almost no queues anywhere, there were always enough tables. One of the restaurants was always open late for both breakfast (until 11:30 or so) and dinner (until 24:00). There seems to be no room service (ordering food in the room), but you can easily bring food and drinks from restaurants to the room.
4. Animation:
In the evenings, live music often played in one of the halls, quite pleasantly and professionally; during the day, there seemed to be some kind of animation on the beach, but, fortunately, unobtrusive.
5. Vacationers:
Mostly Germans and Russians, a few French. Most of the hotel staff understands Russian, English, German.

6. Fitness center and spa:
Fairly spacious gym, with mirrors and air conditioning; the choice of simulators is small, more and more on the muscles of the arms, back, chest. We also went for a massage - quite worthy, although the prices are the same as the average for Moscow or a little higher.
5. New Year's Eve Dinner:
A huge heated tent was set up on the beach for a banquet of 1.500 people. The entertainment program was mainly organized by local animators, there were many dances of the peoples of the world. Pretty good (at least for young people) selection of music, decent light and sound for a hotel. Food - a very large selection of dishes on the buffet, several orders of magnitude higher than the daily cuisine. There were also fireworks and a fire show, in general, the impressions were positive.
Summary of the hotel: tourists who are not picky in terms of food will most likely like it very much. And if you tune in advance that you are going not to the "five", but to a good 4 * hotel (good and the cost corresponds), then pleasant surprises are possible; )
ALSO MAYBE USEFUL (additional information not related to the hotel):
The weather at the end of December - this year it was somehow very cold in the evening and at night, so it’s worth taking a warm jacket or coat with you on winter trips. During the day - the order, on average +25, but the water in the sea is cold, about +19.
An excursion from TEZ TOUR to the local Turkish bath is not recommended for those who are accustomed to salon procedures: there is a feeling of mass character, "flow" of service, low quality and insufficient hygiene.
Excursion from TEZ TOUR - quad biking: rather boring track, a lot of shaking, few turns, monotonous ground and terrain. But on the other hand, it is not difficult to go, for the first time it will do just fine!
I hope that this review will help you decide on the choice of hotel, have a good rest!
