We went to Hurghada only because of Luxor, we really wanted to see this ancient city. We flew with Turtess from Kyiv. Windrose airline completely disappointed - everyone had already boarded the plane and then the right engine did not start, we were dropped off, after which we had to wait 4 hours until another plane was prepared (refueled, reloaded our luggage, food). Therefore, instead of the planned 14:20, we took off around 18:20 and arrived, respectively, around 21:30.
But the hotel pleased: they already knew that the plane was delayed, so they quickly checked us in at the reception, but they have one chip when checking in - for a room with a view of the pool, an additional charge of $ 10 per day, with a sea view - $ 20 per day. We decided that with a view of the pool it would be just right and paid extra (everything is officially through the cashier, if you don’t want it, no one imposes it). We were settled quickly, the room was on the 2nd floor (3-storey hotel), the soundproofing is good, the curtains are so thick that you can "make the night" in broad daylight. The safe is free, the only free water in the minibar is water, which is replenished every day. Cleaning in the room is normal, the bed was changed in my opinion 2 times a week. What I didn’t like was their mini-shampoo, shower gel and conditioner - bottles with dried drips, it’s clear that someone used it (they stood all our vacation, no one thought of replacing it), it’s good that they had necessary bathing accessories. Towels were changed every day. We left a $1 tip every other day.
FOOD:

As elsewhere - for breakfast: cereal with milk, soy sausages, boiled and scrambled eggs, salads, vegetables, cheese and sausage cuts, pancakes with jams, yogurts, etc. For lunch: we went to an Italian restaurant - they have very tasty pasta, they have pizza, There were wings from meat, fish in breadcrumbs, kebabs on Sundays in a Japanese restaurant, beef in sauce... in general, there was enough food, we didn’t go hungry, although towards the end it all started to fall apart. There are many bars on the territory where you can even find hot dogs with french fries. Sweets are traditional oriental (you will lick your fingers), from fruits - peaches, watermelons, apples, grapes, melons, pears, figs. Drinks - UPI, Cola, Fanta, Sprite, water, tea, coffee, cocoa.
SEA:
It's shallow near the shore. If you go into the water from the shore, then you need shoes, and if from a pontoon, then it is not necessary. When the tide is out, you can go down into the water from the pontoon and stand on the sandy bottom (I think it will be very convenient for those with children). Many beautiful big fish live under the pontoon, our compatriots fed them in the morning, so it was possible to swim closer and examine all the fish with a mask. There are sun loungers on the pontoon, but no canopies, you can easily get burned. On the beach, there were always enough sunbeds for everyone, no matter how much you came.
TOURS:
We were in the "Luxor" (and where else !!! ), I really liked it, a full day excursion, take plenty of water with you, you will have to pay $ 1 for soft drinks on the bus. And you definitely can’t do without them, because. The heat is incredible, I do not advise you to go there with children.
And we also swam to the "Paradise Island" - I didn’t really like it. They put us on a yacht, the guide did not tell anything, we stopped 3 times near large corals to snorkel, but either there are few fish at all, or we scared away all the fish (besides our yacht, I counted about 40 more !! ! those wishing to admire the marine flora and fauna)... Conclusion: near our pontoon, the fish are larger and more beautiful.
In general, we liked the hotel, we would come again, but I really want to see others. Have a good rest. ; )
