To be honest, I'm not a big fan of writing reviews. But, as they say, hurt. While going to Hurghada, I read everything that was written here about "LES ROIS". And I became downright scared : ))) But today we have already arrived from Egypt. We had a great rest in this very hotel, leaving Le Roy, we said goodbye to the staff very warmly, the memories remained wonderful. So most of the "crime" described above by my "colleagues", excuse me, is just complete nonsense!
The hotel, of course, is modest, as they say, without frills. But he stands on our tourist market, please note, very inexpensive. If you are coming here for 800 bucks for two for 10 days, then what kind of claims can there be?
Expensive to pay for "Le Roy" (it is under this name that everyone in Hurghada knows him! ) is definitely not worth it. This is a typical so-called urban "three", almost without territory and without its own beach. By the way, about the beach. . . There is a shuttle bass that runs from the hotel doors several times a day. But this is for the lazy. We used the bus very rarely, we usually went to the beach on foot. It takes only 10-12 minutes to walk past another city hotel "LA PERLA" to the beginning of the so-called Promenade. It's nice to walk in the morning. . .

IMPORTANT! Guests of Le Roy use the beach at the EL MASHRABIA hotel, which, like Le Roy, is part of the PHARAOHOTEL hotel system. The beach is good, convenient entry into the sea, clear water, but small, of course, and there are no corals nearby. In "EL MASHRABIA" the struggle for sunbeds has been going on since early morning. But if you are not too picky in this regard, you can take a chair from the bar or just lie on the sand on a towel. Its better, by the way, to have your own, without messing with all these cards.
The beach bar in "EL MASHRABIA" does not serve guests of "Le Roy". So, heading to the beach, grab a bottle of water - it will come in handy. Drinking water is provided free of charge at Le Roy. By the way, some of our "colleagues" at "Le Roy" still managed, as they say, "insolently" snatch some drink on the beach. So, it is precisely Russians and Ukrainians who behave in a boorish way (ardent greetings to Donetsk! But there is nothing to be done: there are always a lot of our compatriots in such inexpensive hotels. This is perhaps the only thing that upset us during our stay at Le Roy. . . : ))
But back to the beach theme. If you don’t want to go to Mashrabiya, then you should know: not far from Le Roy, next to the famous Marriott, as well as now idle, but the very first Sheraton hotel that appeared in Hurghada, there are two very good paid beaches. For 3-4 dollars, a personal sun lounger and an umbrella, as well as a gentle and clear sea, are guaranteed to you. And, what is very important, there will be almost no compatriots nearby : ))).
By the way, a few words about the location of Le Roy. For the "great connoisseurs" who wrote all sorts of nonsense here, I inform you: the hotel is not "between the Old and New Towns", but between the so-called new Hurghada (this area is called Sakkala) and the chic Promenade, which is very pleasant to walk along in the evening. The promenade, which is a 10-minute walk from Le Roy, I note, is very long, stretching from the Mashrabiya to the Grand Plaza Hotel for 7 kilometers. Here you will find fountains, and shops, and oriental cafes, and various shops . . As for the "Old City", it (I say especially for "experts"! ) Is called Dahar. It's worth going there only if you really like the local color and exotic. . . : )))

Now about the food at Le Roy. Quite tolerable, although, of course, somewhat monotonous. If you don’t climb with plates at the ready in the first 5 minutes of the buffet for lunch and dinner (alas, many of our tourists behave this way! ), Then you can calmly take everything that the chefs have prepared. The choice is about the same as in any Hurghada "three". Buns and cakes are really very tasty, beer, tea, coffee, Sprite - everything is there, everyone is poured. In general, if you are not an esthete, but just came to soak up the sun by the sea and see Egypt, there should certainly be no problems with food.
Now about the numbers. They are modest, but again, they are designed for the fact that you will only come to sleep in them. The water was hot quite often, but even its periodic absence was not very upsetting: after the heat, it is quite pleasant to rinse under a shower at room temperature. Again - we had no problems with this! They cleaned the room every day, as a token of gratitude for a small tip, they wound up traditional swans and all sorts of delicacy. But those of our "turiks" who spared a couple of pounds for this business, they really could have been beaten with cleaning. : )))
In general, we had no problems with the staff. There are people at the reception who speak Russian. All hotel staff are very friendly. Again: as you are to people, so they are to you! Learn a few words in Arabic, say hello in the morning, smile and say "Shukran" ("Thank you") more often, and everything will be HO-RO-SHO. Like we have! . .
In general, a huge hello to Le Roy, which we already miss. : )))
