I will say right away that this is far from the first time in Egypt, but we have been in Hurghada for a very long time, before the birth of our youngest, and since there are direct flights from Kharkov only to Sharm, in the last six years we have flown to Sharm. And then my son delivered an ultimatum - I want to see the pyramids, etc.... I had to choose a hotel in Hurghada. The choice fell on the Albatross chain, because in charm I really like the hotels of this particular chain. Well, give my men a hotel with a full-fledged water park, but it’s important for me that there would be a smooth sandy entry into the sea for my 6-year-old daughter and me. I'll start with the advantages of this hotel - a lot of heated pools (it's easier to name which ones are not heated.
From 1.05 the heating was turned off, but the water was already comfortable everywhere. We stopped on 20.04, the weather was windy and in general the first two days it was very cold in the morning and in the evening these days, during the day they could only swim in the pools, if they weren’t heated, they wouldn’t swim at all. The beach was just blown away by the wind. Then the heat started! along the beach.
2/3 of the beach belongs to albatross beach, and a small piece is allocated to vacationers of the Aqua Park and Vista hotels, part of which is located on the pier and in general everything was OK if the weather was normal, but with a strong wind it simply blows away due to lack of protection . . those comfortable areas for relaxing on the beach for two hotels are very few, so they also drop in this direction from albatross beach if there are free places in their unit....I didn’t understand this joke. So this point must be taken into account. But we are early birds and coming to the beach by 8 we always found ourselves a comfortable option.

The beach itself is good, who wants to see the fish, that is, the opportunity to swim from the pier, there is a lifeguard sitting there, looking after the tourists. This is certainly not a charm, but better than nothing (there are hotels in Hurghada, where this is not). The hotel itself is quite compact. We were put in a room with access to the pool on the first floor (the leftmost building, where there are two heated pools inside). The depth is great for kids. the youngest, with a height of 120, calmly reached the bottom and splashed there with other children without worries on my part.
Water park - there are three for children, for different age categories, which of course is excellent, and two of them are heated. Slides for adults are so-so, maybe we are spoiled, because we saw water parks many times better, but the choice fell on this hotel precisely because of the water park, but it turned out to be none. There is no children's club, there is also a children's area with swings for children, but it is suitable for kids, for children from 5 years old there is nothing to do there. children's animators are boring guys . . everything is organized very poorly for children.
Rooms. Everything is very tired . . the room is spacious, but everything was breaking down right before our eyes . . the door handles fell off, the air conditioner was noisy... it was not realistic to sleep with it, it’s good that we were not in the hottest period, otherwise I just don’t know how Would we sleep with such noise. The room reeked of sewage from time to time. Food. Well, a bit sparse, but mostly edible.
For sweets and pastries, the minus is huge, only in the evening it was sometimes possible to find something edible, and so... fruits are green melon, oranges may be nothing, but it was impossible to cut them with a knife (which is offered as a device for eating), maybe he was stupid, and did not want to bother with cleaning. Bananas are terrible, a couple of times there were strawberries and green peaches. for breakfast, a standard option with scrambled eggs, salads, milk oatmeal.
Lunch - two soup options (delicious, mine ate them with pleasure, always chicken, fish in different variations (steamed, fried), pasta on request in different sauces. Dinner. here the choice was in accordance with the theme. Twice (on Wednesdays) there was a fish evening (fried shrimp were given out 3 pieces per plate, then the whole fish was fried, well, ala sushi, salads, etc. Ice cream from 11 to 16 at the bars.

By snacks . . sadness and sadness. If you ate badly at lunch, then you are unlikely to like pizza or buns with something... it was not very edible. Juices, even fresh juices were made for breakfast, but when?? ?... there was a table with oranges and a juicer (at the same time, self-service was not supposed (we were in hotels where we squeezed juice for ourselves), but they start doing them along the way at the closing of breakfast, because for all the time we got to them only in the first days, when, due to the cold, they did not immediately go to the sea. As for the timing in vending machines, this is tin (as elsewhere).
The dye was so strong that my daughter's tongue was yellow, I could not remove the juice stain from clothes . . I tried not to give it to my daughter. Coffee - in self-service machines, such... water is of terrible quality, so that tea and coffee were just disgusting taste. Cocktails suck. My husband got acquainted with the bartenders in the lobby and there we and the children were made according to special recipes - at least you could drink (this is also a common situation in hotels in Egypt).
Hookah in the evening-3ue . . but this....evening entertainment-children from 18-30 to 19 painted muzzles. then followed by some kind of entertainment in the form of a dance with skirts and a children's disco. But we went to bed early, so I won’t tell much here. A very big minus of this hotel is the dirt in the dining room. In the morning, upon arrival for breakfast (we came to the opening at 7 am), there were dirty napkins in places on the tables, often dirty chairs, tables, and under the tables it was possible to enter food that had not been removed from dinner...
In general, the rating of the hotel is 3. The albatross network was very upset. I thought that the hotels of this network maintain a single standard on all counts, but alas, this hotel upset me. Many Germans really saw a priority attitude towards them (at the beach bar), although I had previously tried not to pay attention to these things, believing that we make our own rest and it was not difficult for us to win over the staff where with a smile, where with a tip, but here....the bartender on the beach just behaved boorishly....starting serving the Germans from 9 am (the bar opened from 10).

Well, that’s figs with him, but the fact that the German standing in front is poured from one bottle, and we were given the same request from another....here they didn’t give a tip, maybe that’s not the case. I will add one more minus-toilet on the beach. Oh, and there was dirt. We came to the beach at 8 o'clock, by 9 it was already unrealistic to go there because of the stench, returning to the hotel we went to the albatross beach toilet on the left side near the children's club. A few words about excursions.
The husband and son traveled to Cairo and Luxor. My daughter and I went to the bathyscaphe (for those who have children under 7 years old, I recommend that if your children are already snorkeling, then they will no longer be interested). Real dive in a submarine. All shows are done by two scuba divers, there is nothing special to watch. for the show, statues, a chest, chains were left on small reefs... the fish were fed during the show, so they were there, and so... the very fact that you are on a submarine is already a good attraction for a child. Excursions were not taken from the guide, well, the price was normal, the guide is well more expensive, and on the tour from the hotel I took a shared bus : )
We went a couple of times to the Cleopatra store with fixed prices, there are also many other shops nearby. A little further there is a large supermarket senzo mall - everything is there. Walk in one direction for about 30 minutes, about 2 km. Due to the bushes, it is comfortable to walk, but... smells . . in my opinion, sewage is drained there and the stench is unreal almost all the way. The senzo mall has everything, even McDonald's with kfc, clothing stores and the supermarket itself, we were there all sorts of cookies, nuts by weight, fruits, sweets, dates. Internet in the hotel is, but figovenky.
Upon arrival, we bought a SIM card Orange for 20 gig for the 9th and enjoyed life. Our check out was late. At 12, the room was vacated, things were taken to the storage room. The bracelet is not cut off, we had a quiet lunch. It is to this hotel that I definitely will not return, and apparently to Hurghada itself, too. We lacked the beauties of the Red Sea, for which we are going to Egypt.
