Rested in Charm Life Paradise from 20.09-29.09. 2008. Don't believe the bad reviews, it's great! Believe me, this is not the first time I travel, there is something to compare with. I'll start in order:
Arrival: flew by the airline "Transaero". On the plane, the food is a bit scarce, but you won’t die of hunger. Departure was at 10:45 from Domodedovo. There were no delays at the Hurghada airport, even the suitcase was not waiting, somehow they immediately unloaded it. Met a guide named Magdi from CapitalTur. From the airport to the hotel I was driving alone in a passenger car, which could not but rejoice, I was the only tourist on this flight to my hotel. Magdi is an excellent guide, he told me everything on the way, he waited at the hotel until I washed and had lunch. Then I bought a tour to Luxor from him for $ 70, I recommend it to everyone, I was in Cairo two years ago, about the same program. All the way to Luxor, the convoy of buses was accompanied by the police, everyone let us pass on the roads. Magdi saw me only on the day of departure, he didn't even forget my name.
Room: The room was 411 (4th floor), from the balcony you could see the sea and the hotel grounds. The room is normal, in general, as everywhere in 4 stars: 2 beds, refrigerator, safe (some with a code, some with a key), shower, sink. Standard. Cleaning and change of towels daily. He left $ 1 every other day, so they sculpted incredible figures for me from towels and blankets, sometimes they decorated them with flowers.

Meals: I mostly ate at the main restaurant. There was also an Italian restaurant "El Zahra", but the legs did not reach it, besides, you need to make an appointment at the reception there, as the number of places is limited. There are 4 bars: an English bar near the main restaurant, a beach bar, a pool bar, and one pool bar. I visited mostly English bar and beach bar. Oh, how much was drunk there! The food was normal for Egypt, the cooks did their best to diversify the menu. There was enough meat and fish, salads, rice, potatoes... Dessert - just delicious! From fruits / berries (every day something one or two) they gave melons, watermelons, dates, bananas and some other fruit unknown to me, similar to a pear, yellow, but with very hard bones in the pulp like a melon, I can’t taste to retell, there are no analogues in Russia. There are plenty of drinks to choose from, I made mixtures: rum + cola (I mostly drank it), gin + tonic, sprite + whiskey. Beer is normal, you can drink it, in the heat on the beach it is very pleasant in a misted glass. I also recommend a cocktail of rum + xprite + red and green liquor. Not all bartenders know how to do it, but if it works out - a delicious drink in several multi-colored layers, drink through a straw. In general, you will not die of hunger!
Beach: walk from the main building for 5 minutes at a slow pace. The beach is sandy, gently sloping, just fine for children, you can tinker in the sand, build pyramids. Those who like to swim may be a little upset, since there is a pier near the beach, at which ships of small displacement are constantly maneuvering, bastards, and strive to drive over the head. But if you do not swim behind the buoys, there is nothing to fear. Yachts leave from 10 am to 4 pm for excursions, at which time the pier is empty. Those who swim well can swim to a sandy spit about 300 meters from the beach. It's knee deep. I swam in 22 minutes, rested and back, I thought I would die, then I fattened myself on a sunbed with beer, I was very tired. But experienced swimmers will easily overcome this distance. You can go back on foot through other people's beaches. As for the sunbeds: I came to the beach at different times, always found a place for myself, though not always under the fungus.
Service: the restaurant did not have to wait for the waiters, they scurry around there, did not give a tip, and so everyone did. Sometimes you sit at a table, but there is no fork on it, it is enough to say and everything will be brought. Very friendly people at the reception. Once my batteries in the safe ran out, he approached them, they apologized to me, they say they are not in stock now, the next day the batteries were in the room. And once my air conditioner dripped, it was at 10 o'clock in the evening. Said and went to the bar. I go to sleep, everything is already fixed. On the beach, mattresses are brought by a specially trained person, you only need to choose a sunbed.
Animation Entertainment: the hotel had 3 black animators (as they said, we are from Jamaica! ) + an Egyptian girl. We tried our best all day long. During the day on the beach, people were entertained with darts, volleyball, aqua aerobics, water polo. In the evening, at 21:30, children were amused, and at 22:00, various shows and competitions were organized for adults. All were given prizes. For example, as a member of the jury of a competition like “Come on girls”, I was given a ride on a banana for 5 minutes. There was a disco from 23:00 to 00:00. Who wanted to have fun.

Shopping: there are several shops on the territory of the hotel, if you bargain, you can buy cheaper than outside the territory. The main shops are on the right side of the hotel. 20 minutes walk to the right you will reach the RAMSTOR supermarket (it is written in Russian), and buy all the souvenirs there. To the left of the hotel is a DUTY FREE store, I didn’t go, I can’t say anything about it. The airport has a fairly large selection of products, you can buy everything there. The hotel has a shop where hookahs cost from $5. At customs at the airport, they can force you to check hookahs in your luggage, be prepared for this, wrap them in soft things so as not to break them. I carried 2 hookah flasks in hand luggage, I didn’t have to hand it in, thank God, apparently because of Ramadan. In Luxor you can buy large (A3 format) papyri for $ 1, two pieces, garbage, but in the frame you can’t tell whether it’s a fake or not. I also bought a silver cartouche with gilded letters for $18 (the name is written in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. I ordered it on an excursion in the morning, it was ready by the evening).
I rested alone, so at first it was boring, there were no Russians. Here everyone relaxes in couples or companies. Then ours arrived, it became more cheerful. Of the foreigners, there are many Poles, Czechs, Slovaks, Serbs. There were French and Italians. Everyone is friendly, happy to talk with you (if you know at least a little English). Summary: the hotel is worthy of four stars. The service is decent, the food is normal for Egypt. I recommend to those who go to rest, and not to show off. There are five-star hotels, and express your claims there. If someone does not agree, write. I will always answer. Have a nice holiday.
