I was at the hotel in early December 2009, before that, of course, I read reviews about the hotel. Some features of the hotel were repeated in several reviews. I didn’t want to believe it, because the trip was already paid for, and in general, I hope for the best.
I'll start in order. The flight proceeded normally. I want to reassure those who think with horror about the plane. In fact, you experience discomfort associated with the vestibular apparatus only when climbing. After 1 hour of flight, vigilance is lost, and after 2 hours you completely calm down and all worries and doubts disappear. Yes, from time to time the plane can shake a little, but this is normal, because there are whirlwinds at the top, and this is sensitive for the plane - I think it’s approximately like for a car to run over a small defect in the asphalt surface, because the wheels of the car do not fall off from this. Likewise, the plane, a little trembled, and flies further. So, gentlemen, passengers,
calm down, as soon as you land at the airport, you will immediately forget about the plane and your fears. At the airport of Hurghada, an enterprising seller of entry stamps (it cost $ 15) sold them in another window for $ 17, so they didn’t actually stand in line and left the airport building quickly enough.

Now about the hotel. The territory of the hotel is really quite large and well-groomed. The staff is mostly friendly, but people are different everywhere, so if someone rudely serves you a drink at the bar, then don't pay attention. You can imagine, standing, not sitting down, and pouring, pouring, pouring every day from 10 to 24... And they pour a lot here and everywhere. I'm certainly not an expert in evaluating alcoholic beverages, but in my opinion, Scotch or English whiskey is no different from Egyptian. They make alcoholic cocktails, quite premium, but still tastier than just vodka. Espresso coffee, cappuccino, juices.....
In general, this is presented generously here. The rooms are basically standard, but could be improved. Mosquitoes were the biggest problem in my room. They live in the bathroom and closets. On the first night I was so bitten that the bruises remained for several days after my arrival in Kyiv. The following nights were saved only by turning on the air conditioner at 18 degrees at the maximum fan speed, so that these feathered bloodsuckers would sit and not stick out. So stock up on mosquito repellent if you don't want to return home anemic. Sea and beach. The only thing I want to say is that in Sharm the sea is more suitable for me, as I am interested in fish and corals. Probably because the water is warmer in Sharm, the fish there are much more diverse. But for children, of course, you can’t imagine better there, a very long beach, sand in the "lagoon". And of course the wind. Probably for this time of year the wind is typical in Hurghada.
When you get out of the water, you are constantly blown, sometimes more, sometimes less, but the wind is constant, which is not in Sharm. I would like to say a few words about the most "sick" place in this hotel. This is the dining room. It doesn't even look like a restaurant, and not because it's self-service. The most normal place to eat in those conditions is not in the canteen building, but there are tables on the street. They clean better there, and it's more pleasant to sit. The food is quite monotonous and not interesting. I witnessed several cases of poisoning, and I saw how people really suffered. Especially one guy who was waiting for a transfer to the airport, and his intestines "grabbed" every 15-20 minutes. And no wonder, I saw with my own eyes how in the already dark time rats were running near the bar opposite the administrative building...... There is animation in the hotel, and in principle the guys are trying, so it won’t be boring. We went to Luxor for $80. Yasser (guide) told us very interesting things. The trip was very eventful.
We visited the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsus and the Temple of Karnaak. Of course, there were some comments: such as a "perfume factory" (so that you don’t get ripped off for money, I recommend: choose 2 fragrances, there is such an offer there - 60 ml for $ 25 plus 30 ml of another fragrance for free. In principle, the oils are very good, I I used to take 4 bottles of 100 ml in Cairo before and I understand that I don’t need so much at all. They also brought it to a workshop where they make marble products. If you need it, then buy there. In Hurghada, you won’t buy this item for that kind of money. Also I want to say, there are bazaars near every sight (valley, temple. . . ) There, of course, one's hands are cut off. In the shops opposite the hotel you also have to haggle. Almost all goods can be bought for 50% of the price. Buy hibiscus. You will not regret it. In conclusion, I want to say,

that the hotel is probably worth it for this money, and it's not 5 stars at all. But then it is better to take "burning" tours there. I was told that it cost up to $400 for a "burning" one for 7 days, so for $400 it's excellent. But in principle, I’d rather pay $150-200 more for a ticket, but I’ll be in better conditions, and I have something to compare with. So lovers of Egypt, draw your own conclusions. Have a wonderful holiday.
