It was our first trip to Egypt in winter, and even in the coldest month - January. I would like more life hacks on this topic, but I found very few reviews.
The most important conclusion is a roulette, how lucky with the weather. We were very lucky, the wind was light and the temperature during the day is always above 22 degrees. Were there until January 14th. A friend went right behind us, it got much colder, but she still got a lot of pleasure.

At the airport in Kyiv, I began to rely on instincts, it became unbearably hot in my boots (I don’t know if it was really hot at the airport, if my mind decided that it was time to do something with boots). Looking around, I saw a lot of people in sneakers and windbreakers. This alarmed me, people can’t walk like that in the snow in winter... Ok, we unpack our bags and, like gypsies, and there were 6 of us, we rummage in search of sneakers. Hooray, I found it!! ! But they are white. . . a dilemma, to be in trend or to prefer comfort! ? I, a lady of indeterminate age, decided that I have a husband, and the passengers will survive the movie of white sneakers. The first life hack, prepare your clothes and you can change at the airport, then, in Egypt, you will need a light jacket and sneakers in the evenings. We pass control, tourists throw away food, it’s not worth doing this, many airlines have stopped feeding in the air, and you still need to get to the hotel. We took vacuum-packed sandwiches with us and easily carried them onto the plane. (This was necessary, since there were 2 teenagers and two men, which is practically the same thing. As soon as we sat down somewhere, the question was immediately - what to eat? Moreover, the presence of hunger is not necessary). On the plane you can buy panignas for 8 euros and snacks for 2-4 euros. Water, tea, coffee in unlimited quantities, you need to know this so that you don’t leave half the salary in duty free.
I saw the pilot. . . cheers. . . an older uncle. . . the chances of a good flight increased.
Landed, Hurghada, morning 6 o'clock, it's cold outside, 16 degrees. I think . . that's it, we've arrived!! ! In Egypt, you need to buy a visa, it costs $25. The whole crowd goes in a straight line and only a few people turn right, towards the "Bank" sign. They will sell you a visa for $25. The rest of the novice tourists are bought by the touts of the tour company, who promise to help with filling out the visa application form, and in general it turns out 27. I always have where to spend $ 2, so we fill it out ourselves (moreover, those who paid $ 2 do the same) . We arrived very quickly to the hotel, while we settled in, the Arabs ate my brain with a teaspoon, until I achieved what I wanted, went out into the street... Lord, what is it, the sun !! ! I felt hot in a sweater, and I looked against the backdrop of T-shirts and shorts, not comme il faut. Survived settlement. The next stage, will I dare to undress to a bathing suit, at a temperature of 22? Can I swim? (Here it should be noted that I am a terrible merzlyachka). The children saw the pool and they didn’t care how many degrees there were, but it was 25 there, since the pool was heated. If you choose a hotel in winter, there must be such a pool. During the night, the water cools down and it is not pleasant to swim in an ordinary pool, it is very cool.
I undress, lay down on a sunbed and understand that the sun is hot and you can burn out. Take sunblock and a cap with you, otherwise you can burn. If the breeze blows, it's not so nice to lie down, but there were days when it was really good.
The sea.... beautiful and not cold. I swam with a mask, the Black Sea in July has the same temperature, why do people complain here and not complain there? ! I didn’t freeze, just put a towel on when leaving so that the wind does not blow.

I want to say that the children bathed for a very long time and no one got sick, only the girl was put on a rubber cap and wiped everyone when they left. The kids called me a pitstop.
Good time for walks and excursions. In Hurghada we went to the Senzo Mall supermarket. They bought oriental sweets by weight there, packed in a box, called a mix, it costs a kilo of 120 pounds, although each separately cost no more than 65, I asked why so, to which the answer came - it's a mix, well, I didn’t redo it, in souvenir shops 200 grams 50-70 pounds. We bought shrimp and crabs by weight, they were cooked there. Deep fried, not really liked, but the price is magical, crabs at 86 pounds per kg, shrimp 130!
We bought a backpack and a golden sun on sale, well, it’s true, for gifts, I wouldn’t buy it for myself, the order was discussed via Viber in the store.
Wi-Fi, as a rule, is not good in hotels, so you can buy an orange at the airport for 5 bucks or, if you got lost at the airport, like we did, the guide has a vodafone for 10. This is quite enough.
We didn't go to Luxor. The guides are all liars, they promised 3 hours one way, nothing like that, while 4-5 are still delivered to all stores. Many were dissatisfied with the fact that they did not warn about the duration of the trip. So if Luxor is on your wishlist, be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks for the day.
We went to the aquarium ourselves, and the entrance is 25 from an adult, 12 from a child, the guide has 50/25. We went by taxi, 6 people 10 bucks round trip. It is possible by bus. What is a bus in Egyptian? A broken-down minibus, the driver of which sees tourists and starts screaming furiously that this is a taxi, take the road and everything in the same vein, you don’t need to look for a stop or adjust to the time, they are like flies, chaotic in their movement. At the same time, there are no traffic rules, be careful. Please note that all cars with scratches and small dents. It's a little stressful.

We went to "Cleopatra", but didn't buy anything, it's more expensive than in a hotel. All bought on the street. Mango for 1 bucks, but they bargained for a long time, tea from orange leaves for strong nerves, and with this there were problems and a vase for 10 bucks. It was this purchase that was the subject of ridicule of my whole family, as soon as someone nearby did not pass very carefully... but she is alive !!!
Way home. There are 3 airports in Hurghada, we were in the new one. The upper things in the hands were very unnerving... the security control is unrealistically thorough. Before boarding the plane, they will unload all the suitcases and the quest begins, find your suitcase, this procedure, after the explosion of the Russian plane. If everything is ok, then we fly.
