Traveled with my husband in March. We wanted to stay at Sofitel, but unfortunately, there were no places for the dates of interest. Of the proposed hotels, we chose Desert Rose and did not regret it. The hotel is huge, well maintained, everything is thought out. Almost all rooms have balconies (they were completed later). The room was immediately given a good one in the 2nd building, 2nd floor overlooking the pool with sea water. Cases 2.3, 6 are more convenient in location, they are, as it were, in the center - everything is nearby: swimming pools, a restaurant, a reception. The staff is very polite and attentive. We were very surprised when the cleaner came on the first day, introduced himself and asked if we had any problems and what time of the day he should come to clean. The room is spacious, everything worked. The safe is in the fridge! And first you open the key! refrigerator, then another key safe - ie. carried a bunch of keys!
The main restaurant is huge with 8 halls. Diet varied, fruit was also enough. Everyone who returned in the evening from excursions was waiting for a late dinner. In the evening, meat was roasted on an open fire near the restaurant. There is also a grill bar and during the day you can also have a bite to eat there. the hotel operates on an all-inclusive basis, there are many bars throughout the territory. Therefore, there is no problem with drinking or eating. There is only one problem - do not get fat. By the way, the guide immediately warned - you can not buy water in the store, but collect it in coolers in a restaurant or bar. I liked the local beer and wine, the rest of the alcohol was not impressive.
The number of guests is large, but this is noticeable only at dinner, when almost everyone gathers. The rest of the time, due to the large territory, it seems that there are few people. Three very large swimming pools: sea water, Olympic and heated. There is also a tiny one for the kids on the playground. Towels are issued on cards near the pools and near the lagoon. Between the lagoon and the sea, right in the water, there is another bar, to which bridges over the water lead from two sides. Nice. Beaches on both sides of the bar. On the left there is a long pier. One thing I didn't like - didn't see a single one!! ! rescuer. So BE CAREFUL! The guys-animators manage to get in any corner of the hotel. Shows and disco every evening. Rest satisfied.
