Hello to all travelers! : ) I want to share with you my impressions of our wonderful stay in this hotel. Before the holidays, of course, they read numerous comments, according to which it is objectively difficult to understand the true picture. Moreover, the ratio of reviews on Desert Rose is about 50 to 50: from laudatory odes to complete negativity. Therefore, of course, there were fears, but we decided to take a chance. However, we are calm, picky people, clearly understanding that it is not worth expecting a royal welcome and service for $ 2.000 for all two weeks : ) Therefore, we decided to take a chance by staying at Desert Rose. )) And they did not lose!
Polite guys at the reception quickly checked us in and offered us a room in building 8000 - overlooking the wonderful lagoon. I immediately remembered the review that “8000 is a stable! ”. The wife was a little upset, but nevertheless decided to check what and how. Nothing was put into the passport, but simply as a token of gratitude for the warm welcome, they left $ 10 quite openly. The guy was happy))
The room is great! Large, spacious room, soft bed, plasma TV, refrigerator with water and drinks, which are regularly updated, powerful air conditioner, comfortable bathroom - in a word, no worse than in European hotels. And sometimes even better! But in principle, the number is not the main thing. The building itself is located very well: just opposite the lagoon, close to swimming pools, restaurants, bars. I must say, I do not understand people who write that the hotel has a huge, but stupid area. Rave! The territory is really big, but all the buildings are located harmoniously. From the lagoon (let's take it as the extreme point) to the main entrance to the hotel, 7-10 minutes walking along palm trees, bars and pools. People, let's rest! Therefore, there is no need to grumble and complain about gigantic stupid distances! In the end, if you are tired of walking from the building to the reception, then go along the way to one of the bars and drink a beer or cola. Immediately optimism will increase! : )
Vacationers% 80 Russian. The rest: Ukrainians, Belarusians, Poles, a few Korean-Chinese, once I saw the British and the French. There are many mothers with small children, for whom having their own sandy lagoon is an absolute plus. As such, there is no party in the hotel. Therefore, lovers of tynts-tynts-tynts are better off choosing hotels in Hurghada itself, where all the discos and brothers in spirit and beliefs are nearby. And those who want to swim in the clear sea and sunbathe on a neat beach - you can safely go to this hotel. Well, now about the sad. I frankly didn’t like it and was disappointed by the complete lack of upbringing, respect and basic skills of decent behavior among a fairly large number of compatriots... People, you need to be kinder and do not forget that we are visiting!
We ate at the club restaurant as we had green bracelets. The food is no different from the food in the main restaurant. The only thing is that there are fewer people. Although in the main restaurant there is always food and free places, both indoors and outdoors (no flies were noticed). The food is varied and delicious! Well, only the soups are so-so, but otherwise everything is super! As for indigestion, we, like most vacationers, were afraid of it and subconsciously prepared for it, having collected a huge bag of medicines with us. But for two weeks there were absolutely no problems! The only advice - try to behave calmly while eating)) The buffet is a good thing. But, looking at how our compatriots gain mountains of food, not embarrassed by the seemingly strange combination of dairy products, stewed beef, fried fish, pasta and fruits, it becomes, to put it mildly, uncomfortable... I would like to ask, well, where do you need such Egyptian pyramids on a plate You didn’t eat as much in a whole year as you did in 2 weeks of vacation... And then we complain about indigestion... No wonder, in place of the stomach, I myself would be sooooo upset by such a hellish amount and combination of incongruous food... Eat calmly, without fanaticism and everything will be good. The only thing we did not dare to take was vegetables. Still, it is very hot, it is not clear how long they lie there. But watermelons-melons - it's very good! And, of course, the famous oriental sweets! I don’t eat sweets, but I just couldn’t refuse there !!!
As for drinks, you can always freshen up in the hotel bars. Yes, the cups are plastic. So what? For us it was not a problem. And thank God they are plastic! With such a riot of emotions and freebies, starting from 8 am, glassware would quickly turn into broken glass that flooded the beaches and hotel grounds. Beer is not Czech, of course, but it is quite possible to drink)) It differs little from the Baltic. The rest of the alcohol is fine too. Gourmets, connoisseurs of wine, etc. - buy alcohol in the dutik.
As for swimming, the beautiful lagoon is an ideal place for parents with children. We went to the beach to the right of the lagoon and swam in the sea. There is even coral. Not as beautiful as near Paradise Island, but worth a look! Fins and masks were bought almost immediately and could not get out of the water for hours. This aquarium is really addictive! I advise you to swim a little further (to the extreme red flag), where there is more coral and with more fish and other living creatures.
On the territory of the hotel there are 3 more pools - a healthy Olympic (50 meters), a small but deep one with a small slide and the main pool with a bar. Actually, they really wanted to swim in it! The pictures are very beautiful)) But this pool was being repaired for several months and was closed (((It was also closed during the week of our vacation. But what a joy it was when it was solemnly opened for the second week! Swim in cool water, swim up to at the bar and drink a cool beer. . . Oh, romance! By October they promise to arrange a mini-aqua park there with several slides.
In general, you can still write for a long time and a lot. I can only say that the rest was a success by 200%! We received a lot of positive impressions and emotions! We are very satisfied with the hotel and Hurghada as a whole. If anyone has questions, ask! I will gladly answer.
