Four of us rested in Hurghada: three adults and one child. First trip to Egypt so didn't know what to expect. During the settlement, very polite staff gave a good room. Pros: large, beautiful territory, clean rooms, very polite staff, beach, water park. Cons: animation (as for me, it's just "amateur", not professional), boring evening life, so we went to the city to a disco. Absolutely safe. There was plenty of food. There was something to choose from. I do not advise anyone to drink locally produced alcohol. Beer and wine is the most tolerable option. At first we were surprised by the 5 stars of the hotel, but after comparisons we realized that our hotel is really VERY good in this category. It was a pity for the people who wanted to fly to Africa and meet Europe. Excellent value for money and quality. For $ 500 with a flight, DO NOT EXPECT that you will suddenly become a millionaire who flew to a fashionable resort in Miami : ) Regarding excursions, we immediately bought them from a tour operator (anex), who gave us a very good discount. There was no desire to run and look for something cheaper. Be sure to choose a boat trip (were on Paradise Island). If you are going to the city, take a taxi. We rode for 3-4 dollars. Buy souvenirs in front of the hotel. It's cheaper and more fun shopping than in the city : )
