The first time we flew to this hotel in April-May 2012, the second time - in November. We arrived in a large company - 3 families, 6 adults and 5 children from 1 to 17 years old. I have 3 children (10.5 and 1 years old), Therefore, I will write a review from the standpoint of the features of recreation with children.
why they flew in for the second time - I liked the large territory, there is where to walk with a stroller, a lagoon - the children splashed in the water and played in the sand, the presence of a water park and children's slides, a good playground. My husband liked the reefs - there are a lot of them, you just have to look. on this trip, my husband even "met" a sea turtle there. My mother is fond of underwater photography of fish, she has already been to Egypt 10 times precisely because of this hobby, even she was able to find a couple of new types of fish for her collection.
There were a lot of mosquitoes on this trip - be sure to take a funigator and thermonuclear tablets, by the way they are sold in a pharmacy across the street from the hotel.
Now about placement. On this visit, we were first settled in the 8th building, they offered us two suits, after we told the reception that we had come to them for the second time and four of us out of 11 had a birthday the other day. We bought 3 ordinary rooms, so when we were offered 2 suits and yellow bracelets instead of them with the opportunity to eat in a small restaurant (family room), we happily jumped there. But the ambush turned out to be that there is one toilet for 2 rooms, which is absolutely not convenient for 4 adults and 3 children. Therefore, our relatives (2 adults and 2 children) stayed in a suit and we were given two rooms in building 6 on the first floor. The first time we lived in building 4 (next to the water park) and, of course, it’s a bit far to walk to the sea (but you won’t get fat : ). The 6th building is very conveniently located - close to the sea, a small (club) restaurant (we prudently did not pass bracelets during relocation, because they are not given to the 6th Corps) and a children's playground.
I also wanted to write about the hotel doctor. We had a nuisance with the younger reb. - the day before departure (we were 10 days) apparently she caught the virus and at night the high rate rose. I had to apply for insurance to the clinic. The local doctor examined the child, gave him an antibiotic, children's paracetamol and antipyretic suppositories. Despite the insurance, I had to pay the so-called deductible of 30 bucks. Thank God the baby is on the mend : )
And finally, 2 more warnings - do not order a "portrait" from the "artists" near the main restaurant. We ordered to draw older children, paid an advance payment of $ 15 (total costs $ 35). He draws from a photo (he takes a picture). It doesn't look like it at all, not a drop. We did not even begin to take, i. e. gave him 15 bucks. Although he convinced us that we are blind and do not see the similarities : )))
And more about taxi drivers-bombed. Our fellow citizens are bred for money in the following way. You get into a taxi, he takes you, asks for big money with change (like he needs to exchange it). If you pay in pounds, he will give you change in piastres (like our kopecks, but they look like pounds and you can tell in a dark taxi), if you give dollars, he will give you change in fake small dollars, which are full in Egypt. Therefore, my advice is not to show them the money, keep the change on the taxi separately, and if you were given change in dollars, spend it there, don’t leave it even before duty free, they may not take it.
Well, in conclusion - the weather in mid-November was excellent, in the afternoon 28, in the evening 22, water 25. We got tanned, bathed and rested very well.
