Since the end of July, they rested at the Giftun Azur hotel. We were already here this spring, and now for the first time in the same hotel for the second time!

Since it was our second time in the hotel, we received a bonus - immediately upon arrival at 8 in the morning we were checked into a room on the 4th floor of the building T that we liked. From the balcony you can see the sun from the sea in the morning)
Everything suited us in the room, except for the hum of the air conditioner on the roof. The next day, they changed our room for a small thank you of 10 dollars. We received room 312 on the 3rd floor with a view of the sea, the pool and a beautiful tall palm tree near the balcony. There was a problem with the air conditioner again)) - it worked like a fan, not cooling the air. While we were resting on the beach, the air conditioner was repaired.
Sometimes a guest appeared in the room on the ceiling, wall or balcony - a cute little gecko)
The hotel is green, gardeners cut dry leaves on palm trees in time, trim bushes and create flower beds.
The renovation of the beach dining room, which began in May, was completed, and now we could dine on the beach with a view of the sea.
There were always empty tables in the main building for breakfast and dinner. But at lunch, you had to find a place in the beach canteen. Tables for two are few, mostly for 4-6 people. Sometimes it was necessary to sit down with other guests.
Melon, peaches, grapes, oranges, apples were in the hotel every day, watermelon not often.
We bought yellow and red watermelon, large plums, figs, juices, and mangoes ourselves
not far from the Abu Ashar store. Royal mango 50 pounds per 1 kg. Regular mango 30 lbs ~ $1.
The group of animators worked excellently.
Often there were parties - a foam disco, a fruit festival, a festival of colors, which never got boring and were repeated every week.
A Vodafone card was bought in front of the hotel for $15. Now I don't remember how many GB, but it was enough for 12 days.
On the beach we could see low tides, which we barely felt. And on the neighboring beach, at the Siva hotel, during low tide, a long, wide spit protruded into the sea, along which it was fun to walk far into the sea from the shore!
Some taxi drivers do not know their city, but they want money! Somehow the driver took me in the wrong direction to the compound to the manicurist. (By the way, if someone urgently needed to have their nails done, like me, then 4 km from our hotel, in the Gravyta area of the hotel, there is a salon that I found on Instagram, where girls from Ukraine do good nail correction for $20. ) It was possible to walk for 30 minutes along the beautiful El Mamshe, but already in the morning it was unbearable heat!
The taxi driver was able to take us to the address only through my mobile internet. $3 seemed a little to him!
In May, it was quieter and cozier, about 60% of vacationers were mainly Germans, there were few locals, and there were no children.
In August, 50% of local families were already occupied, almost all rooms and bungalows were occupied, many children of preschool and younger school age. Arab families bathed in the pool.
In the summer, I was already in Egypt, in Sharm, in the middle of August. I liked the rest
somehow the heat was not felt and it was comfortable. But this year, in Hurghada, it was unbearably hot in July and early August. During the day there is little wind, more than 40 degrees, at night not lower than 30! The water in the sea is very warm, we swam sometimes! We sunbathed and swam from 9 to 13. After lunch, from 14 to 16, we went to the air-conditioned room to cool off. In the evening, back to the sea until 19.00. They go on excursions and walk around Hurghada, Marina, Sheraton, El Mamsha, even in the evening I didn't want to in such heat. Apparently, after all, July is not for vacation in Egypt! )
It is possible to return to this more or less affordable hotel (a ticket for 11 nights for 2 1340 euros), but preferably not in the summer. He suits us with a location on the 1st line on El Mamsha, delicious, no frills, food, a long beach with palm trees, clean soft, non-bulky sand without pebbles, super clear water, clean sea, even without fish. There are many Europeans in the spring. It is also convenient that there is a pharmacy with state prices, fruits and supermarkets within walking distance.
According to my experience the second time I rest in the same hotel, I can say that you need to prepare for some changes and the first impression of the rest may change) In the spring, we liked it a lot more!
