Do not believe the detractors "GOLDEN 5 ALMAS RESORT" is a wonderful hotel. A huge area where you can spend more than one day photographing. There are shops, pharmacies, a hospital, two discos, five bars (not counting beach bars) and you can never leave the hotel during your vacation. For children, there are many playgrounds both on the territory and on the beach. In the evening you can look at the dancing fountains. The hotel is completely Russified, mostly Russians rest, there are pluses and minuses here. Of the pluses, you can not know foreign languages, pay in rubles, there is always a company, both for adults and for children. Of the minuses (for me personally) in discos and in all bars, Russian shit-pop and shit-chanson sounds.
The room, like everywhere else, is nothing terrible, but it doesn’t cause a storm of enthusiasm either, although the noise insulation could be better. The air conditioning worked properly, you can get a second key card for free, which is undoubtedly convenient.
There was also a hair dryer, a safe (free of charge), two telephones (one in the toilet). Cleaned, every day there were no complaints about cleaning (towels and linen were also changed every day), no tip was left. We lived in the fifth building on the second floor, room 524.

A wonderful restaurant where even a six-year-old daughter ate with pleasure (although feeding her daughter at home is a whole feat for the whole family). The food is more than varied (not even taking into account a la carte restaurants) every day there was meat, fish, meatballs and a variety of side dishes and soups (there was even borscht). And also every day for dinner on the terrace in the grill they made shish kebab and kebab. On the beaches and by the pool, the food did not disappoint either, they served battered fish and squid, pizza, shawarma, hamburgers.
The beach is truly gigantic. Well-maintained, an army of cleaners cleans up trash and "combs" the sand all day long. There were always enough beds. Although in the central part I observed people who were simply lying on mattresses.
Well, there is already the fault of the strange desire of people to relax in the center of the beach, when there are a lot of empty places on the periphery. We mostly rested on the far side of the beach. There is silence, peace and a playground 10 meters from the sea, as well as its own bar where pizza falls. The reefs are excellent by the standards of the coastal zone of Hurghada, about 8 reef platforms. Also pleased with the variety of marine fauna here you and stingrays and cuttlefish, a bunch of fish of all colors of the rainbow, oysters, giant shells. In general, I dived a lot and with pleasure. By the way, this is my fourth time in Egypt, so there is something to compare local reefs with.
Of the minuses, I can only note the sluggish work of the barmaids on the spill of alcohol. And the general "fatigue" of the housing stock. I will be happy to come to this hotel again, just pay extra and check into the main building with a sea view.

The entire GOLDEN 5 complex can be compared with the six hundredth Mercedes of the 90s. A large, luxurious, but battered, handle has fallen off somewhere, a window lifter does not work in one door, the radio tape recorder is stuck on the “Russian radio”. But still high quality, comfortable and safe.
