It is very difficult to rate one hotel without taking into account the entire chain of hotels. I have been to Egypt 3 times and this time I liked it the most. A large territory of the network, the opportunity to visit hotels of different categories, slides, the sea, fountains.
The rating was given only to Sapphire, excluding the network. If we talk about Sapphire itself, then you can only sleep in it, have breakfast and sit in the bar in the evening. There is nothing else in it. From entertainment - table tennis in which rackets periodically disappear. Billiards is paid.
I don't know by what system the hotel rooms are allocated, it seems to me that it also depends on the tour operator. We had a Pegasus tour operator and a room with a view of the mountains, a construction site and a pool where fish were bred (the generator was also constantly buzzing). So we rarely opened the doors to the balcony. Another couple had a sewer view. We tried to change the room, but we were told that all rooms are occupied - and we calmed down. Couple - moved to a room with mountain view but no sewerage.

Like probably all the inhabitants of Sapphire, we only had breakfast in it. The rest of the time was spent on the main territory.
If they knew better, they might have opted for Topaz (although repairs are still being made there too). Although you probably need to take a ticket, which is cheaper.
At the expense of Topaz, yes there is a pool and beautiful new sunbeds and towels. But this pool is not heated - so in winter only maniacs or people who arrived on the first day, who are too lazy to go to the sea, or people who had a late check-out and took off their bracelets, swam in it. Animation, respectively, is very sluggish - entertaining two or three people is not a thrill for them. We also did not take new towels, so as not to drag them around - there is an opportunity to plant less new ones but near the sea.
About other hotels - I liked Emerald (probably it is remote from other hotels, so it is more civilized and less bullish). We ate here occasionally for lunch and dinner.
Diamond is also not bad (we went to listen to live music in the evening, dined, dined).
Paradise - there are a lot of people in it (the waiters can not cope with the surging flow of people).
