We rested at the Topaz Hotel from 31.05. 10 to 10.06. 10. Tour operator Pegasus. Enjoyed the holiday! The hotel was chosen based on reviews! Thanks for the info! In Egypt for the 2nd time (Sharm el-Sheikh in 2006). Family of 4 people (husband, wife, two children 10 years old and 1.5 years old). When checking in, they did not give a bribe, then, after checking the room, they gave the Russian girl at the reception chocolate and balm. The hotel confidently pulls on 4 with +. It’s really far from the sea, but the bus runs regularly and according to the schedule after 30 minutes, if you couldn’t get on the bus or didn’t have time and were reluctant to wait, then cross the road, and after the pyramid immediately to the right, into the courtyard of the Club Golden 5 hotel, there train at 45 minutes of every hour (2-hour break for lunch). The rooms are really 2-room, large TV, plasma, there are 2 USB inputs (they took cartoons on a flash drive - very convenient), a balcony, air conditioning in each room, a safe for free, a mini bar with water, juices and cola (a week's supply), furniture not old, but tortured, our closet fell apart slightly. We lived on the third floor, in room 316. There is no promised baby cot, even for money, there is a baby chair in the main Topaz restaurant, but only one (we used it all the time). There is no baby food as such, there is milk (hot and cold), cereals and balls. Our kid ate mashed potatoes and rice (that without seasonings). In general, the food is good, there is a lot of meat (beef in pieces, cutlets), 2 types of chicken, squid, fish, mashed potatoes, stewed in pieces and fries, rice with seasonings and just boiled, there are a lot of vegetables for salad (you make your own salad) well, the rest of the usual buffet set, if you wish, they will make scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs in the morning, at lunch they will make pasta, at least 2 soups (I liked seafood and vegetable), there are a lot of fruits: constantly oranges, tangerines, apples, dates and one thing: peaches, watermelons, grapes, melons. Everything is ripe. Baking is delicious. You can visit all the main restaurants "Golden 5". We only went to our restaurant, we didn’t take risks, according to friends in other restaurants, the set of products is the same, in Paradise there are queues for plates and cutlery due to the large number of people (up to 5 minutes). An intestinal infection once hooked mom and baby, they took a set of medicines with them, there were no special problems. (This happens in Turkey too) The beach is large, on the left side (if you stand facing the sea) a long smooth entry into the sea (40-50 meters to the depth), the sand is very soft, on the right (Topaz beach) a couple of passages along the sand (to the depth 10 meters), and around the coral layers. With a mask, it is very interesting, but rather poor compared to Charm (10 times less variety). Bars on the beach are open from 8 am (on the beaches of Topaz and Almaza). Juices in boxes (mango, guava, apple, orange), Stella bottled beer is average, draft Sahara seemed better, I didn’t try vodka (according to previous experience - shit, I apologize for the expression), whiskey and rum seemed acceptable to me. We had breakfast at 7 in the morning at first and walked (we took a stroller-cane with us) to the beach, later we got lazy and left by bus at 8.00, 8.30 or 9.00, 9.45 on a train (gasoline and not on rails), at 11.00 hours went to the water park (funny slides), to the Paraday pool or to the children's town and to the hotel for lunch, until 15.16 hours we rested in the room or by the pool (the kid slept in the room, of course), before dinner the pool, after we went to the dancing (or singing) fountains, children's entertainment in other hotels, my daughter really liked the ATVs ($ 5 - 30 minutes). In Topaz - the animation was so-so. They mostly entertained themselves. Souvenirs are better to buy immediately along the building to the left of the central exit from the hotel. I recommend "Thank God you have come" and I also forgot the name, approximately in the middle, Romka (Egyptian) sells hookahs. Across the street there is a 2-story shop with fixed prices in pounds, but not everything is cheaper there as it seems. You have to compare carefully. Cleaning in the room is so-so, they gave a tip, they sculpted a baby from the sheets, brought towels in excess of the norm, and cleaned up so-so. I once witnessed how two Arabs in shoes walk around the room, sweep away garbage with a brush, they don’t even look under the beds, and I didn’t notice wet cleaning, though I hurried them then. Big nonsense invented with a strip on the hand (very flimsy), the loss really costs 50 bucks at the reception, the staff makes great money on it, you can buy it from the water park staff (they often lose it there) for 20 bucks. Torn at the reception change without problems. The reviews warned against mosquitoes! Indeed a disaster, we stocked up with all means, ointments, sprays and dichlorvos from mosquitoes. These insects were destroyed very carefully every evening, the children were protected, but in the evening they gnawed me around the pool, and other people's children were often seen bitten. We took an excursion only to Luxor, near Pegasus, we went together with the eldest, it was very hot, we had more water with us, everything was exorbitant there. But very nice and interesting! The guide was amazing, Indian, he spoke pretty decent Russian and a lot of jokes. Next time if in Egypt, then to another hotel, but I recommend this one for families with children, we liked it!
