We rested with a company of 5 people at the Grand Seas Resort Hostmark 4 * hotel in Hurghada.
This is not the first time in Egypt, so I consider my assessments more or less objective. We have been on holiday since December 29.2014. to January 05.2015
Pros:
- Huge rooms with three double beds.
- Excellent food - a large selection of various dishes, in the morning a lot of dairy products and cheeses, a variety of grilled meat and fish, vegetables, greens. There were even crabs. Of the fruits, bananas, pomegranates, dates, guava and melon (the latter was always unripe). Between lunch and dinner - ice cream and pancakes. I also heard dissatisfied statements from vacationers that “last year in the hotel“ such and such ”was much more abundant... I don’t argue, it’s possible that way... Everyone has their own goals: someone goes to relax at the seaside and eat, and someone goes only eat…
- The bar has a wide variety of delicious cocktails.
- Each room has a safe.

- Wonderful and friendly service staff. Here it is necessary to make a reservation: if you want to be treated well, treat others that way. I learned a couple of key words in Arabic (“hello”, “good morning”, “good evening”, “thank you”, “goodbye”) and communicated this way with bartenders, cooks, beach workers, etc. As a result, any drinks, etc. with a friendly smile at all friends in one hand, etc.
- Large free beach.
- Active, but not intrusive girls-animators.
- An interesting entertainment program in the evenings.
- Indeed, there is a small reef (at the end of the pier to the left and right in 50 meters you can see a dark spot). Take a mask and snorkel with you - get a lot of pleasure from watching the underwater world.
- the absence of a large number of tourists from Russia (perhaps we were lucky). There were almost no drunk faces and rowdy scumbags.
Minuses:
- The water area of ​ ​ the beach is very shallow (Hundred meters - the maximum depth - to the waist). The solution to the problem - for lovers of diving and swimming - at the end of the pier. There is also a ladder to the water.
- Since there was a meeting of the New Year during the holiday period, the gala dinner was planned in advance and its additional cost was 75 dollars. from a person. As a result, the organization was stupid, cocktails on the counter for show (there wasn’t enough for everyone), dinner was canceled, and instead they made a late festive table, which did not differ much from the everyday one. The festive entertainment program was poor (50% of the numbers were performed by their own animators).
- Wi-Fi in the hotel is paid and not stable (for 1 hour - 5 euros, for a day 20 euros, for a week 40 euros). GOON! The solution to the problem is to buy an Internet card at the airport (just take the VODAFON operator) for the smallest amount for $ 5. For 10 days to communicate with the house is enough.
- In many rooms on the first floor, the balcony door lock is mutilated and the door can be opened from the street (probably drunk vacationers forgot the key in the room and entered their rooms without the help of the administration). But there were no cases of theft. And yes, there is a safe.

- On the last day of rest, we had a flight at 19:00. Not only that the room must be vacated at 12 o'clock (general rules, you can not argue with this), but the bracelets are cut off from the hand until 12 o'clock and they are not allowed into the restaurant and cafe after 12 o'clock. GOON! The solution to the problem is to make friends with vacationers who leave a few days later than you. Our friends from Russia brought us food for the whole company of Ukropov right on the beach.
