To clarify, we often rest in Egypt, hotels have always been 5 *, and on the advice we took 4 * Aqua joy by Sunrise for the first time.
We rested between 26.01. 2021 to 5.02. 2021.2 adults and 4-year-olds. child. We arrived at the hotel at 7.30 in the morning (5 minutes drive from the airport), settled immediately, the room is good, all the rooms are newly renovated. A couple of years ago, this hotel was bought by the Sunrise chain, a complete renovation in 2019.

Room: large, 2 beds + sofa bed. All accessories of the soap-rinse are (shampoo, balm, shower gel, body lotion, soap). There is a kettle, coffee, tea, cream, water in the fridge, cola, fantasy, sprite - all of the above was replenished in the room every day. The safe is big enough for a laptop. Surprised by the large number of hangers in the closet)))). All rooms with balconies or terraces.


Territory: small, but green, there are 7 pools, 2 of which were heated to a temperature of +35 (adult and children, in which there are slides for the smallest))). There is a small water park with 11 slides for adults.
On the territory there is a children's club and a decent playground, it worked despite the quarantine. Everywhere is very clean and tidy.

Food: I was surprised that in a 4 * hotel there is food that will give odds to many 5 *. They cooked unrealistically delicious even simple beef or chicken, I’m not talking about crabs and shrimp, which were almost every other day. Every day strawberries, guava, tangerines, apples, bananas, dates, oranges. A large selection of fish, vegetables, various snacks and more, but at the same time a minimum of oriental spices. There is a children's menu, which always had vegetable purees, fish fillets, and meatballs very similar to our homemade ones).

Alcohol is not very good everywhere, but leaving regular tips in the bar and in the restaurant in return received fresh juices, good beer not on tap, and delicious cocktails (I really liked Schweppes tonic + mint syrup + pineapple juice + fresh lime + tequila)).
There are 4 a la carte (Asian, Italian, Greek and Egyptian) for free and unlimited access, the main thing in the morning is to sign up at the reception of the Marina near the reception. Opened 1 restaurant per day + main restaurant + snack bar near the pool pizza burgers (which in the evening turns into a Greek a la carte with delicious fish and shrimp). Everything a la carte is very tasty, in the Egyptian kebab bomb, in Italian delicious Caesar, seafood and veal midallions, an explosion of taste. in Asian - seafood soup and glass noodles). So I give it a 5/5 for the food.

Beach: an artificial sandy lagoon, closed from the wind, sand from the shore and at the bottom, a smooth entrance to the depth, corals are not needed. Further from the pontoon, the depth is shallow, but the coral is dead, there are few fish, so the beach is ideal for children (I chose a hotel according to this principle), but it’s not suitable for those who like to swim with a mask, although people were looking for something there with a mask)).

You don’t feel the ebb and flow, the sea doesn’t get smaller. In the middle of the lagoon about 3m-4m. depths.

Weather: we rested at the end of January-beginning of February, the air temperature in the shade + 27 + 28, in the sun + 35, there was practically no wind for 10 days, 1 time in the morning I blew a lung, but I didn’t feel it on the beach, because I repeat the closed lagoon with palm trees and dense shrubs. The sea is +24, we swam almost all the time, occasionally came to the hot pools. Good soft and comfortable slippers, both on the sea and near the pool.
Infrastructure: when leaving the hotel you find yourself in a new city, beautiful well-groomed alleys with a bunch of shops. In 2 minutes to the right-left there are shops with fixed prices grocery Carrefour and Cleopatra souvenirs. The prices are adequate. Pharmacy opposite the entrance. To the fish market by taxi via mob. uber app - $2.5.

There is also a shop on the territory of the hotel, I was surprised by one of them with small things, the prices are the same as in a supermarket with a fix. price.
The mango season was ending, and therefore the price for it was high $ 7-10 / kg, so they only took it to their room. Strawberries are everywhere, but it makes no sense to buy them when they are in the hotel every day. A 15-minute walk from the hotel there is DUTY FREE (or $ 1.5 by taxi), you can buy goods there no later than 48 hours!! ! after arrival and with a passport. So it is not necessary to bring whiskey or rum from Boryspil with you))).

Staff, service: beyond praise, ironed shirts, smile, friendliness, what can I say, Sunrise they are in Africa Sunrise. Excellent attitude towards guests

Animation: every day at the pool dancing, aqua aerobics, yoga, beach volleyball and more. In the evening, children's animation in the nightclub, then a show with acrobats, dancers, etc. There is no night disco, quarantine)))

And the icing on the cake: wi-fi is super, it catches absolutely everywhere in the hotel, in all rooms, by the pool and even on the beach on the farthest sunbed)), the quality is excellent, it even caught in our shops across the road)))).
