Hotel ratings by criteria:
Rested with a friend in Hurghada, at the Hilton Plaza Hotel from September 25 to October 6.2008.
Repeatedly before that they were in Egypt, in hotels in Sharm el-Sheikh - Grand Azur Horizon, Domina Coral Bay Harem, in Hurghada - Dana Beach, Sunrise Garden Beach, Meriden Makadi Bay.
And now in order about the Hilton:
Meeting and settlement. We were kept at the reception for 5 hours under the pretext that there were no rooms, while we were accommodated by foreigners, i. e. The numbers were still there. After 5 hours of waiting, having received the long-awaited keys to the room, we were offered to come back in an hour for bracelets on the all-inclusive system. Nice, we thought.

Number. Light and large, this is where its positive aspects end. The carpet on the floor has survived more than one generation of vacationers, covered in stains and smudges. Bed linen....a feeling that they slept on it before us and forgot to wash it. Whistling and flowing faucets. There is no change of towels, even if you throw them on the floor. A spare toilet paper roll is also missing as a phenomenon. The floor in the room was never washed. The lights went out several times a night. Oh, and shabby furniture. In general, such a “cool” number.
Eatery. I can't call this place a restaurant. This is the canteen. At what it is one for the whole hotel. Every day the same thing, insipid and not tasty, the blessing was soup, rice and bread, otherwise they would die of hunger. Tomatoes are sour and rotten, there are no cucumbers at all (we went to the "Children's Corner" and dragged cucumbers from there). Even an omelette for breakfast they manage to cook is not tasty, dry and tasteless. Only pancakes were edible for breakfast. We ate mainly: for breakfast - pancakes and melon, during the day dried fish brought from Russia with beer, soup, bread, rice for dinner (we went to Hurghada to eat at the Joker fish restaurant). And, but unlike the bulk of tourists, we passed such an unpleasant thing as diarrhea. So it's good that there was nothing to eat. From fruits - green melon, sometimes watermelon, mango, green bananas, dates. Although the fruits are excellent and cheap in the market not far from the hotel, it is not clear why the hotel saves on fruits... Mango 3 dollars per kg, figs less than 1 dollar, guava 1 dollar per kg, a large melon pulls 1.5 dollars. Yes, I forgot to say about the dishes in the restaurant - chipped legs at the glasses, knocked down corners at the plates, etc.
Beach. Sunbeds…we haven’t seen such sunbeds in any country of the world for 5 years already. Wooden, heavy, with broken wheels. Ripped mattresses. Garbage on the beach is not cleaned during the day, and, having come in the morning, they also did not notice any mass cleaning. Well, in fact, to get to the beach, you have to get up at 6 o’clock, run to the sea and take this sunbed, otherwise everything, after breakfast on the beach “sorry, there are no empty seats” and lie by the pool. There is no all-inclusive restaurant on the beach, there are so-called snacks for $ 5 a serving - 4 small kebabs or 3 chicken skewers, bar 2, which regularly runs out of beer, tonic, wine. And even if there are drinks, they pour half a glass of beer, half a glass of foam, drink to your health, dear tourists, we don't feel sorry for anything for you.
Bars and entertainment. And there are none. There is only one bar, at the reception, with the name of the lobby bar, sit indoors and breathe in air-conditioned air, until 12 at night they will pour you rum-cola, and even possibly with ice, vodka-sprite, beer. Well, from 10 to 11 pm, my aunt still sings, live. Well, there is a local disco, with five-year-old music and four dancers dancing on the dance floor.

Territory. But there is no territory, that is, two steps to the left, two steps to the right, that's the whole territory.
On request, in confirmation, I can send photos of broken sunbeds, chipped dishes, torn mattresses, etc. We were not too lazy, we photographed all this garbage horror.
This is the Hilton. It's not really a Hilton at all. The summary is this: if you want to get into 3 stars by paying for a five-star hotel, then you are here. If you want to spend money ineptly and not get pleasure from the rest, then you are here too. But if you want to get a good variety of food, a large beautiful green area, a good beach with enough seats, a large number of bars, a pleasant audience and a guaranteed nightlife, then you are definitely not in Hilton Plaza. Go to Sharm el-Sheikh, Domina Coral Bay, you won't regret it! We were in Domina 3 times, and if we are going to Egypt again, then only to Domina, we will not take any more risks.
Have a nice holiday!
