I celebrated the New Year (2009) in Hurghada, at the Hor Palace Hotel. The first impression was terrible, but then I had to put up with it... It was very cold in the room, and the air conditioner did not work. Repairs have not been done there for a long time, but every day the room was cleaned, and even the bed was changed. The kitchen didn't surprise me either. As for the staff, everyone is very nice and cheerful, but everyone wants money... I had to pay 20 dollars to get a normal room. The nice thing is that the hotel is on the first line, towels and mattresses are free. Opposite the hotel there are many shops, and during the walk, each seller will not let you pass by and will literally force you to go to him and at least look at the goods. It certainly gets specific. The best way to deal with them is to ignore them. But, to be honest, one of them (the molesters) deserves attention and time, he calls himself Maxim, he has his own shop opposite the hotel. The man is just super, interesting, funny and very nice, among these annoying sellers he stands out very much, and everyone knows him. If you come to his store, he will definitely treat you to delicious tea and maybe even a hookah, or just cheer you up. I went to Egypt alone and felt a bit lonely, but thanks to Max I had a great time. If you have the opportunity to meet him, send him greetings from Kyiv : )
In general, I can say that this hotel is not the worst in Hurghada, there are worse, much worse!!!! . Moreover, if you go there not for the sake of the hotel, but for the sake of the sea, sun and relaxation, then it’s not even bad at all... It’s better to save money on a hotel and spend this money on entertainment there. Moreover, the prices in Hurghada are not high. The ratio is approximately to the prices in Kyiv, even lower. Have a nice holiday at “Hor Palace”
