I read this site for a long time, in fact it is a guide to choosing hotels. For which thanks to its organizers.
So. I decided to write a comparison of two hotels and three seasons. Why exactly these two hotels - they are similar in philosophy (large area and bungalows), and, as a rule, cost about the same. Magawish is usually a little cheaper.
I was in Egypt in June-July 2009, October 2009 and January 2010. I will go soon on July 2, I will add a review.
Of the hotels, I was in Jasmine twice and in Magawish one - in the winter.
So. Let's start with hotels.
Territory.
Jasmine's territory is certainly better. Why:
1. More greenery.
2. Cozier, there is a shadow.
3. More interesting in terms of walking - bays, a combination of 3 hotels, monkeys, the smell of jasmine again. Overall, I liked her a lot more.

4. Very well located restaurants. You can have dinner in one while walking, then go to Perdola, walk around other hotels, go to the malls opposite (where prices are not much higher than prices in the city).
5. The beach is good both there and there. Problems with sunbeds are everywhere. In Jasmine, because of vacationers from other hotels, there are simply few of them in Magawish : )) Here I can notice that in Magawish I almost never was on the beach, as I went diving. But my sister was with me - I judge by her stories. In Jasmine, the beach is very good for children (shallow entrance). For adults too - there are some corals, there is sand, no fish. Those. It is quite possible to see the fish and just splash around. As for the Magavisha beach, it seems that everything is there too.
In general, the Magawish Territory is a bit quieter due to its size. It's probably the only thing it's better than, and it's not for everyone.
So Jasmine's territory wins.
Rooms.
These hotels are very similar. He lived in ordinary bungalows here and there (in Magawish he gave 15 bucks).
Jasmine has a slightly better bathroom - it is larger, and instead of a shower tray, a small bathroom (less water on the floor). But in Magawish, air conditioners are better - new and quiet, and the rooms are also larger (there is either a 3rd sofa or 2 armchairs). But then again - in Jasmine there are sunbeds in front of the room, where it's very cool to smoke with a glass of beer : )) In general - that Jasmine, that Magavish - one fig. Everything is about the same. Arriving in Magawish after Jasmine, nothing surprised or upset me. The shower is just not very comfortable.
Food.
The food in Magawish is better.

Judging by the stories, it is about the same as it was in Jasmine a few years ago. Pancakes are baked immediately in a bunch, for the evening everything is more diverse. But Jasmine is also not bad, you will not stay hungry. Again - there are 3 restaurants in Jasmine and you can go to the other 2 hotels for dinner and lunch. Those. organizing dinners is more interesting in Jasmine. Plus Magawish in the drink - you pour it yourself, which is very convenient. No need to wait for half an hour when they bring a drink (in Jasmine, this is a bit tight). It's easier to eat - and then go for a drink somewhere else. Well, the annoying Fresh Jasmine already causes only a smile))) Although sometimes it gets it : ))
Summary.
If Magawish is sold cheaper than Jasmine, I will go there.
If you go with a small child - Jasmine is probably better.
Very close hotels, both in terms of food quality, along the beach... well, the philosophy of the territory is the same.
Now about the seasons.
To whom, of course - but my choice is either summer or early October - the deadline.
In summer the weather is always good. Warmly, the sun, darkens late, there are no flies and mosquitoes.
Autumn - it gets dark earlier, in the evening it is very comfortable (20 degrees). But already there are winds, maybe a storm, muddy water. sometimes humidity rises, and taking into account the high air temperature, it becomes stuffy.
In winter - if you only go diving, and then if you really want or cheap (we went 584 dollars for two for 7 nights). It's rain, it's windy, it's hot. The sea - if you're lucky - warm, if not 20 degrees + wind - you won't go there. And if you go there in the winter - well, a maximum of up to January 15-20. Then it will be even colder.
Spring - I think the most disgusting time. The sea is cold. The winds have not yet ended - it is not clear what to do there.
So my choice is summer. The sun is like the sun, the sea is like fresh milk. Given the dry air - not too hot (although I'm not very heat resistant).
Here. Maybe a little crumpled, ready to answer your questions if anyone has any.
