There were complaints, as I heard, about the view from the window (in general, the sea is visible from all the rooms), someone was leaking from the refrigerator, and all that in small things. They were also indignant that the sea was far away (I figured - from the farthest point - the reception - to beach umbrellas from the strength of 200 meters, to the very water - 250, although some of the rooms really - with access directly to the beach). There are no complaints about our room - in the block of rooms above the pool. View on two sides - the pool and the beach of the neighboring Hilton, the sea and the beach of the wasteland adjacent to the hotel. Updated plumbing (shower, bidet and all), satellite tuner with flat TV 19 inches. The furniture is not new, but solid. Wooden, with forged inserts. The lamps are beautiful, in the style of "Aladdin's lamp", but they shine dimly, it is difficult to read a book. The air conditioner is old but cooled well. The room key card is on a chip, it also serves as the key for the air conditioner to work - that is, it will not work to leave the room and leave the conder on (but you can leave the light or mobile phone on charge, for example). There are mosquito nets on the windows. The mesh on the large window did not fit snugly, and the cleaner had a habit of cleaning with the door open - so there was some problem with mosquitoes. Theoretically - mosquitoes should not be, but the water of the pool and the watering of all sorts of palm trees clearly supported them. In the evening in the corridor they directly attacked. Therefore, mosquito repellents will not interfere (and those who live in rooms near the beach complained about ants). For some reason, sockets are vertical everywhere in the hotel, some of the chargers just fell out of them. The plumbing is new, the floors are tiled everywhere, everything is normal here. On TV it showed 1000 channels plus 200 radio channels, some kind of HotBird. True, the coded channels were closed and most of the open ones were Arabic, a lot of Italian and for some reason Polish. There were 5-6 Russian-speaking channels, including the news channel Russia-24. Service. The service is polite and not intrusive. Since most of the places were distributed, according to Tez-Tour, through one operator - no barkers went along the beach - for safari, massage, etc. Well, one uncle was decorously sitting in a corner with advertising - that's all. And no one approached or molested women - in general, indeed, a small hotel has its advantages. The animation is also modest, it was concentrated around the beach: aerobics, volleyball, etc. etc. , and in the evening - some kind of show on the same beach. At the same time, three animators tried very hard: two local, the third - Russian-speaking. They also played some kind of movie on the big screen at dinner, usually they were cartoons in English (although about 90% of the vacationers were Russian-speaking - Ukraine, Russia, Belarus - the rest were slightly Poles and Germans). The managers understood Russian well and spoke it, well, the cleaners - only a few words. Hotel. The hotel is small, quite well-kept area. Planning a peculiar one, it can be seen from the Google map. A rather narrow strip of territory stretches from the entrance and the administrative building from above to the beach area below. In the middle, the main restaurant divides the bungalows with rooms into an upper zone (3-story bungalows) with a pool and a lower zone (2-story bungalows), facing the beach area on one side. The upper part has a noticeable slope from the mountain, and the lower part is flat. Bungalows of the lower part diverge in the form of the letter V, the open side of which is the coast itself. Near the coast, beach umbrellas with sunbeds in about four rows. In rooms or separate entrances or separate entrances to several rooms, the architecture is quite original. Nutrition. The main restaurant (in the center of the hotel) is a full buffet three times a day. Breakfast from the side dish is only potatoes, scrambled eggs and pancakes - salads, buns and all kinds of salty cheeses (cottage cheese), butter, honey, jams. Tea in bags, instant coffee, cold fruit drinks like "Yuppie", well, a water cooler (hot-cold) dinner (you can also smoke there). Hot dishes (fried eggs and pancakes - this is when breakfast) - cooked on the terrace under a canopy. A small queue - but obviously not yesterday. In general - if you want to get into the queue at the restaurant - come to the beginning of the meal - since almost every day about 15-20 people come on this day - and they come by the hour. It is better to come an hour later (for breakfast at 8-9 instead of 7, for lunch - at 14 instead of 13, for dinner at 20 instead of 19), then there will be no queues - and raw meat is guaranteed not to be put on a plate (since the chefs themselves do not try - it happens). Well - and looking ahead - at lunchtime under the sun it is very hot to stand in line for meat, here they obviously have a puncture - a canopy can be made more. The service in the restaurant is good, they clean the tables very quickly, bring new portions of dishes to the buffets, etc. etc. As a rule, all popular dishes are served all the time, not only at the beginning - but sometimes it was - they didn’t get potatoes for breakfast, as they ate everything. But pancakes and scrambled eggs will provide no problem. It is bad that the coffee machine did not work, and tea was heated in small teapots, in which water ran out every now and then. Dinner. I'll just describe the differences. . No scrambled eggs or pancakes - but the first appeared (one or two soups), fish and meat (often - beef liver, in parallel - chicken and beef), it seems - only once a week (Friday) - seafood (crabs, mussels and something yet, I haven't even tried it). For garnish - vermicelli and rice of several kinds. Also fruits (melons or watermelons, oranges), a large number of pastries: cakes, pies, pastries, jellies, etc. etc. At lunch and dinner, the bar in the restaurant was already open - soft drinks (Pepsi, Mirinda, sevenap and mineral water), alcoholic drinks: beer, red and white wine, whiskey, gin, vodka, rum. Drinks can either be ordered or taken at the bar yourself, no problem - at least get drunk (which some did). Then ice cream also appeared (they put 2-3 grades from large boxes in cups). Dinner. Minus lunch soups plus some fish soups. There is no big difference with lunch. Had lasagna a couple of times. Then - flat rolls like pizza with vegetables. Bread black and white, pita bread. In general, the food is delicious. However: potatoes are often undercooked, try it. The meat is given out with a large number of vegetables interspersed and - first in line - also damp. Don't rush, come back later. Many were indignant - that there was little meat, but the chef can be seen - his own tastes or thoughts on this matter. I don’t think it’s a matter of saving, the hotel spends more on drinks. Regarding alcohol - I would advise beer, although it is local - but bottled and pretty good, in the city this costs more than $ 1 per bottle. Wine from packages, the rest - local swill, for a big fan - to be honest. But there were many fans. In addition to the main restaurant, on the second floor there are so-called "Oriental" and "Italian". Open only for dinner, from 20-00. You can't just go there, you have to sign up at the reception - it's free and once (everyone). They differ in interior. I did not notice a serious difference in the menu between the first floor, except for bottled wine instead of wine from bags. Well, they bring food for a very long time - it took us more than an hour to eat. There is air conditioning in the Italian restaurant, but not in the eastern one, you need to dress - this should be taken into account. Bars. The reception bar is open 24/7, the beach bar is open from 10 am to midnight. The same drinks plus cocktails - all for free. Some more pies and snacks, but I didn't eat. The bar at the reception has the only working coffee machine in the hotel, several types of coffee - quite decent. Also free. Beach. The beach is sandy, in the shape of a sickle. The bathing place is fenced off by buoys on one side and a ridge of stones on the other. Behind the buoys there was a pier, as a rule there was no boat (it took tourists somewhere), there is also a massage parlor (one of two, the second is not far from the restaurant) and a diving center. A couple of times divers dived right on the beach - perhaps they were training, it is not clear. Where there is a pile of stones - sea urchins are seen, do not walk without slippers - otherwise the beach is a large sandy lagoon, there is also a place for children - and the depth is 3-4 meters offhand. Of course, there are few fish in such a place, but beautiful specimens have been seen near the stones. You can safely not take either a mask or special slippers if you do not approach the stones. Umbrellas are metal, covered with some kind of grass. There are also cool screens - they close a little from the wind and in the evening - from the sun. The sand is coarse, further from the sea it is poured in a rather thin layer. Umbrellas stand in 3-4 lines, by 7 am, as a rule, the first line is already occupied, but in general - there are always plenty of free umbrellas. Since it's early in the morning, at 4 o'clock, after 5 you can go to the beach - the water is warm, 25 degrees even at this time. Towels are given from 8 am (actually - earlier, from 7-30 approximately), but mattresses and sun loungers are already there (if you don’t want a washed towel, you can pick it up in your room at night, there will be no questions). The sunbeds are wooden, the headrest is fixed in only one position. But good beds, smooth. There are also plastic chairs on the beach, in the morning you can sit on them - sunbathe until the towels are brought. The sea water is very clean. There were no questions. Shopping. The hotel has shops with all the minimum set for shopping: clothes, jewelry, souvenirs, papyri, cosmetics. Nearby - in the Hilton hotel the same, plus currency exchange (I did not go myself - but the guide said). I recommend a trip to the old city (Shcheraton Street), there are a lot of shops there - and it’s good to ask the price. Taxi one way - 10 pounds or two dollars. It is recommended not to pay for both ends, it will ask for more - take the next one, here gasoline is at the price of water, it seems. Do not take a lot of money to the city, it is better to remove expensive jewelry. If there are pounds left, everything is sold for pounds and in a dutik at the airport, so you don’t have to worry. Usually for pounds everything is a little more profitable. Yes, it is important - this did not happen to us - but many told. The hotel is being stolen! A guy's laptop was stolen from his room (although he didn't close the balcony) and several people complained about stealing money. From the bags in the room and even from the safe in the room. Safe in the room with a code, small - neither a laptop nor a netbook will fit there. True, the man admitted that he put the date of birth with the code in the safe. Firstly, this data is at the reception, and secondly, someone could overhear this figure. With the window open, the sound is good. So - come up with a normal code and don't call it to anyone (in the worst case, once a day a special dude comes and opens your safe for free). And for complete reliability - if you are going on an excursion or just to the city - hand over documents and money to the safe at the reception - there it is free and the safe is not with a code, but with two keys. It seems that the cleaners are operating (moreover, the thefts were in the rooms - overlooking the beach, and certain territories were assigned to the cleaners) and even in collusion with someone from the reception - otherwise it's difficult to find a happy birthday code. Yes, you don’t need documents to go to the city - it’s enough to make photocopies of the first pages of passports and a hotel voucher at home. Do not carry large sums with you - usually there are no such prices, more than $ 100 - or have a credit card - the commission is not so big, and there are ATMs in decent places. Well, this no longer concerns the hotel, but the whole city - after all, a city of contrasts, an eastern one. The hotel itself is safe, money is not taken away or things on the beach. True, in my presence, some clever vacationers after dinner did not immediately find their umbrella - and decided that their towels had been stolen (then you would have to pay €10 for it). So they openly began to say to each other - that it is also necessary to steal a towel from someone. But here the hotel has nothing to do with it. we must keep our ears open with our people. Suppose someone who sleeps badly at night will not be pleased with the screams by the pool, in which sometimes there is a lot of fun until 5 in the morning (officially, the pool is closed at night, and chemistry is not weakly put into it at night - but what is the pool - when the sea is knee-deep). It makes no sense to make comments - they are still indignant that they paid the money, and they rest as they want (like - did they buy a personal villa for a week? ). So here the question must be approached philosophically. Or go to a hotel where alcohol for money at least at night. Yes, we can not forget about the massage parlor and its managers - Lena (from St. Petersburg) and Adela - excellent masseurs, surprisingly affordable prices. They give a coupon for 15 minutes of free massage: come, negotiate, bargain. Internet. The Internet is free, there is a small such router right on the counter at the porter.
