I don't like to write reviews, but I decided to write about this hotel.
We rested in Turkey, Bulgaria and Greece, but decided to visit Egypt for the first time during the autumn holidays (we rested at the hotel from November 1 to November 15.2016). Looking for a good budget hotel. Of all the hotels, we liked the King here. And we do not regret our choice. Although, reading the reviews, we had two impressions. I will try to describe in detail about my vacation, so:
We flew via Minsk. Standard departure on flight 8213 at 8.10, arrival in Egypt at 11.35 local time (in Egypt one hour less than here). Flight time 4 hours. During the flight, they were given juice, breakfast (a sausage or an omelet to choose from, a roll, cheese, butter), tea or coffee. In general, they were not hungry. When we arrived, we paid $25 for a visa. per person , filled out the card and went through passport control. Transfer to the hotel was on a comfortable Tez Tour bus with free Wi-Fi.

The weather in the first half of November was good, although the first week there were strong winds. Air temperature +30+35, water +25+26 somewhere.
I’ll note right away that before the flight I thought for a long time where it would be better to stay in King Tut or in the Sphinx, but I chose King Tut. Yes, in King Tut the rooms are worse than in the Sphinx, but we flew to the sea, not to the room. BUT all the working infrastructure for all vacationers of the two hotels is now absolutely the same! The reception and the only working restaurant Cleopatra are located in King Tut, the bar is also located there. That's why we chose King here.
We arrived at the hotel at about one o'clock. Everyone immediately began to offer to move to the Sphinx. We refused. Then, as I learned from vacationers, the amount of the surcharge was 40-60 dollars. Since we didn't pay for anything, we were the last to check in, we had to wait about an hour.
We got a room on the third floor, overlooking the pool and partially the sea.
Bright, spacious room with a balcony. True, there was only one double bed, but within 15 minutes they brought us an extra bed for a child. The room had everything you need (furniture, safe, old TV, hair dryer in the bathroom) and everything worked properly. And this is important! The furniture was shabby, but then we got used to it. If you do not look closely, you can even say that the room is clean.
The territory of the hotel is not very large, but everything is compactly located there. The territory is green and well-groomed. There is a mini-zoo with three monkeys, playgrounds, shops, a volleyball court.
There are pools, but no one swam in them. There is also a water park with 4 slides for adults and two slides for children, the water in it is cool (heating was not included, although we asked), but the children enjoyed riding the slides. But since there are not many people in the hotel, the slides were turned on only when those who wished came.

There are many bars around the hotel, but not all of them worked. Only the bar at the King Tut Hotel, the Iris bar and the beach bar were open. In the open air bar Iris from 15 to 17 you could smoke a hookah, and indoors you can play table tennis and billiards.
On the roof of the King Tut Hotel (6th floor) there is a sauna and a jacuzzi, the latter did not work.
The service was top notch! All employees are great fellows! Always friendly and smiling. The reception will quickly resolve any issue. Everyone is very friendly. I really got the impression that you are relaxing with relatives who are happy to see you and do everything to please you!
Nutrition. It is extremely difficult to stay hungry. It is varied. A huge plus of this hotel is the presence of a Russian chef Natalia. Only thanks to her we ate dumplings, fried liver, delicious borscht and cabbage soup and much more.
Breakfasts are standard: pancakes, scrambled eggs, two types of cheese, two types of sausage (I didn't like sausage very much), vegetables, cereals, muesli, a large selection of rolls. Lunch was also not bad: soups, salads, pizza, pasta, rice, potatoes, necessarily grilled poultry, fish, fruits and desserts. We were very pleased with the dinners, every day dinner was like a holiday, the cooks prepared especially for it. There have always been poultry (chicken or duck, or quail), fish (pangasius or tuna, or mackerel), minced meat products (lyulya-kebab or meatballs, or mini meatballs), they could give crabs, sushi, donuts, etc. Fruits were constantly grapes, pomegranates, oranges, grapefruits, sometimes dates, guava and bananas. There were also a lot of desserts.
A very good beach. It is suitable for everyone. For those who do not know how to swim and for children, the lagoon from the side of King Tut is ideal, the fish even sailed there and ate a loaf very quickly.

Where the lagoon ends there is a beautiful reef, with a mask you can see a lot of fish. From the side of the Sphinx there is a pier. Entry into the sea both along the sand, where the lagoon is, and from the steps. Where the stone steps are inhabited by many crabs, but they are afraid of people and climb out only when it gets dark. To buy or not to buy special shoes? Many people ask this question. Buy! ! ! With me, 2 people stepped on hedgehogs. If you have an extra hundred dollars, and you are not afraid of a long excruciating pain, and you like it when a needle is picked for 20 minutes and the needles are taken out, then you can not buy! Save $3! Shoes are sold across the street from the hotel. 3 dollars a pair, you can buy it on site, but I don’t know how much it is for sale.
Animation in the hotel is available. It starts in the morning at 10.30 with exercises, then at 11.30 aqua aerobics begins, immediately after it, belly dance. In the afternoon at three o'clock volleyball. In the evening at 20.30 children's disco, at 21.30 adult program.
All the animators are doing their best. Shows such as Mr. and Mrs. of the hotel, men against women, are very funny and funny.
Shopping. Everything you need can be bought in shops across the street. Or you can take a taxi to Sheraton Street for $1. There is a taxi at the hotel, but their price tag is very changeable: either they offer to go for 6 dollars round trip, then for four, then for three ...We just crossed the road, stopped a taxi and asked how much it would take, as a rule, they said 2-3 dollars, but we called the price of 1 dollar one way and they agreed. The main rule: bargain, and brazenly bargain. There you can buy leather bags from $10, leather wallets from $5-7. Naturally, you will be offered a price tag of 60 dollars, but in the end you can bargain for 15-20. Suitcases from $10 for small, $15 for medium. But you need to check the quality. Large towels cost about $4 on average.
Silver is not expensive either. Magnets - 6 pieces for 1 dollar.
Across the road, after the shops, there is a pharmacy. There are very good prices. By the way, most of our friends, and we, too, had dysbacteriosis throughout the rest. And finally, severe diarrhea. We took all the pills that I took, and they did not help us much. We went to this pharmacy, bought a local medicine (it costs 10 pounds, 1 dollar = 15-16 pounds), and immediately it helped us. Therefore, as soon as such problems arise, go and buy their medicine. True, the seller does not know Russian well, but we managed to explain to him what our problem was, and when he saw the King Tut bracelet, he said that everything was clear and gave the right medicine, said that many from this hotel come to him on this issue.

Now about what we really did not like. Very intrusive beach service offering tours and water sports. It's just some kind of horror!
On the first day we arrived, we ate and went, of course, to the beach. But instead of enjoying the sea, we were offered excursions. Moreover, as soon as one was sent off, the second immediately approached, then the third, fourth, fifth ...And so every day! You just lie down to sunbathe, close your eyes, open it and immediately: "Madam does not want an excursion? ". I generally keep quiet about surfing ...Until we bought a subscription for three hours for $ 60 for a child, he did not lag behind. And then, then every day he came up several times and still persuaded. In general, they starved. If those who offer massages or tattoos are pleasant to talk to and smile, then the rest are kind of dumb. Although my husband and I decided before the trip what excursions we would go on and where we would buy them (I will write about this below), we were nevertheless persuaded to take an excursion (fishing) on the beach.
He persuaded for a long time, almost cried that he needed to earn his bread, promising his husband excellent fishing, that there would be spinning, trolling, and a bunch of something else, and what photos showed fish that the husband would definitely catch! In general, we decided to go, paying for three (2 adults + child 10 years old) 60 dollars. He also promised us that he would go with us and accompany us throughout the tour. And in anticipation of a big catch, we went fishing ...Near the pier of the Sphinx hotel, a small boat was waiting for us ...There were 6 people who wanted to fish with us and the captain of this amazing vessel, who does not understand Russian well, hardly English . And that's it. No escort and Russian-speaking guide. There were waves and the boat rocked a lot. Some already began to get sick as soon as they got into the boat.
When we swam, the pitching was not felt so strongly, as soon as we anchored, then everyone was seasick: someone vomited, someone was sick, someone had high blood pressure. And everything rocked the boat on the waves ...Instead of the promised equipment, we were given simply spools with a fishing line and a hook, with a squid fastened on it. Here, somehow, everyone was not up to fishing, because everyone was getting worse and worse every minute. And we asked to swim back. It was unrealistic to be there for three hours. How many we swam, but we were so seriously sick for the first time. And immediately we went to understand this travel agency. The guys didn’t want to admit their guilt at all, they immediately began to push all the blame onto us, that, as much as we paid, they gave us such a boat, but there was no question of choosing a boat and the price. Then they offered us another fishing trip on a normal yacht. They themselves said that it was normal. But after this pitching, no one wanted to go to sea and go fishing at all.

When I reminded at the expense of the agreement that if we did not catch anything, then he would return the entire cost of the trip to us, he replied that we had not stayed there for three hours. But for three hours of being there there would be corpses. And I say this without exaggeration. Husband swayed so that the pressure rose to the top to 220. The whole day we then moved away from this fishing. As a result, they gave us only half the cost, and we all promised that we would arrange "good advertising" for them on the Internet.
A few days later, their worker Ahmed came up to us and offered us fishing again...I told him that we would soon tell everyone about this fishing on the Internet. To which he seemed to break loose ...He began to scream, swear and said that I was very lucky that I was here with my husband, otherwise they would have arranged for me ...But that's not all.
And excursions are no different from those offered by guides. And somewhere even more interesting. This agency employs wonderful guys Mahmoud and Ahmed. Friendly and decent. They help solve a lot of issues. Also through them you can buy coffee, teas, oils. For example, when we went to El Gouna, we bought a disk with our photos there, we didn’t take a laptop with us on vacation, and Ahmed and Mahmoud offered us to check the photos on their laptop. And it turned out that the pictures there are not ours. They called and resolved this issue, and in the morning we already had our photos! But if we bought excursions in another place, then we would return home with other people's photographs. Before leaving home, Ahmed went with us and helped us choose good fruits (mango, pomegranate, guava). All fruits were very successful and tasty! So feel free to contact them with any questions!
As for excursions, we took Luxor and El Gouna.

For these two excursions, we gave less than our friends took one Luxor from the Tez Tour guide. And our Luxor came out much more interesting. The whole point is in the guide. He knows Russian perfectly, is smart, with a sense of humor. The tour turned out to be extremely interesting. We really enjoyed. Additionally, for $10 per person, you can visit the banana island. Be sure to visit it. It is not included in the program of hotel guides. After the desert, sand, stones, sailing along the Nile for 15-20 minutes, we ended up in a mini jungle. We saw how bananas, oranges, limes, papaya, guava and many other exotics grow. We also saw two crocodiles in the aviary. And then at the table we had a snack with fruits: bananas, pomegranates, grapes, mangoes. Fatigue vanished. Yes, the tour is long because of the road, but it's worth it. No wonder they say: whoever has not been to Luxor has not seen Egypt.
We also liked El Gouna very much. This is a relaxing holiday. Who loves extreme sports, he will be bored.
Despite the fact that there were many Germans on the ship, they gave us a separate Russian guide Natalia, who explained and told us everything. From the beginning, we sailed to the place where dolphins live. There were 4 of them! Who knows how to swim well, he swam with them, then they sailed to the place where there was a coral reef, and swam there. Lunch was free, drinks were free throughout the day. Especially for us, Natalya took reels of fishing line on another ship, the cook provided raw fish, and we fished, while the rest were waiting for a pill and a banana to be brought. We rode a tablet, but we didn’t ride a banana, as it was with a coup. Husband enjoyed fishing and the whole excursion! Then we were given a tour of the canals of El Gouna. We were very satisfied!
Summing up, I want to note that in general the hotel is very good.
Everyone is trying to make sure that everyone likes it and the vacationers come back here again. Only overshadow all the workers on the beach, who offer excursions and water sports.
