I don’t understand why this hotel is so highly rated, there are better hotels. The hotel staff spoils all the impressions (great corruption up to extortion and negligent cleaning of the room, rather, none at all).
I rested in this hotel at the beginning of July 2017 in this hotel. Number standard "dbl". The bus brought us from the Airport at approximately 08:00 in the morning, at the reception there was a guy who did not speak Russian well, with whom we filled out the documents for settling and we were asked to wait 30 minutes. Of course, we did not wait 30 minutes, but about 1.5 hours. After that, we were again called to the reception and another guy (as it turned out later they work in shifts, one at night and the other during the day) who spoke Russian well and immediately offered to move to another room overlooking the sea or pool for 60 dollars, to be honest I expected this offer because I read reviews about the hotel, in connection with which I conscientiously refused his offer, to which he slyly smiled and said that “standard, so standard” and gave me the key to the room and immediately another guy grabbed my suitcases and led us to a room on the third floor, for which he later received his dollar.
Now about the room.

The first room that we came across was with a view of the garbage pit, I didn’t take a photo because there is this view somewhere in the photos. The room is dusty, it can be seen that there is no cleaning, especially in the toilet and bathroom, the seat on the toilet is generally black (the campaign has not been washed for several months), the safe is not working. Immediately it should be noted that the room was of the standard "Twin", and not "Dbl" as indicated in my voucher. The bedding was all strewn with black hair and stained (pronounced yellow stains, I think YOU will understand what I'm talking about). I immediately went to the reception and asked to change my room, to which the guy agreed and said that it was free and that we would get together (hinting money), after which he gave me the key and said that I could only check in there from 14:00 hours, and now I can look at it. This new room was almost opposite the first room, it was already the “Dbl” room, the view from the window to the pool (which was already pleasing), everything else (cleanliness, bath, toilet, etc. ) was the same as in the first room. Yes, I forgot to point out that the furniture in the rooms already needs to be replaced as it is worn out (the furniture in the hall is also not better), I was especially surprised by the chairs in the room, which are made of bent rods and fastened by welding (they were so heavy that even it was hard for me to move them, not to mention women or a child). No one gave us bracelets until 14:00, and therefore we could not use free services (I think this is redneck towards tourists). When rush hour came (14:00), my wife and I went to the reception and asked for the number that we were promised and bracelets, to which the guy again started to stir up something and said that he could not give that number and that maybe we would come in half an hour, and he will give bracelets only after checking in, that is, in this case we would have missed lunch (probably the guy wanted money), but I insisted and said that I wanted to check in now. After that, he gave us the key to another room (it was already the third room) which was located on the fourth floor, and which was no different from the second room. The guy at the reception didn't get anything from me. I advise everyone to be more persistent when checking in and not be shy sometimes to download rights (of course, you should not overdo it), including up to a call to your tour operator (this phone number is indicated in the documents that the tour operator will give you). This is how our check-in began, we immediately transferred our things and went for lunch. Returning from lunch, we met a cleaner who was given a dollar and asked to change the bed and give us other towels, since I already wrote the bed, they wish the best. For a long time, my wife and I chose bedding and towels, because everything that the cleaner offered us had black hair (straight strands) and the towels were also stained. I would like to note that by communicating with other Russian-speaking tourists, I realized that their rooms are no better. I can’t say anything about the superior rooms, since I haven’t been there, but I think that, judging by the attitude of the staff, they are a little different.
Vacationers.
Rest in the hotel: Egyptians - 80%; Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Czechs, Poles, etc. - 20 %. Some write here that the locals behave like a pig, especially in the dining room, I didn’t notice this, except for the fact that they are rowing full plates of food (more on that later), but ours behave no better, sometimes yelling at night, breaking up in wet swimsuits in dining room and sit on the seats (after which you can’t sit on them, since the foam rubber in the seat absorbs water from the swimsuit).
Dining room.
Some here write that the locals behave like a pig and if they didn’t like the food, they threw everything back into the common dishes - this is not true. The only thing I noticed is that they are rowing full plates of food, food was already falling out, of course I don’t mean absolutely all Egyptians. The food is good, every time there were meat dishes, the choice in food is normal. The only thing I didn't like was their drinks (indeed, as someone wrote that they looked like yupi), I rarely took them. I never got the promised ice cream for lunch. What is bad is the dishes, especially the glasses (need to be replaced), they should wash and wipe the dishes better, as stains are visible. Who will go to rest, be sure to take your glasses.
Bar, etc.
To be honest, I didn’t take anything special in the bar, because I don’t like to drink. Beer is always available at the bar, poured into hot glasses. They tried to take wine, but in one bar they said that they didn’t have it and they had to go to another bar, and in another bar they said that it was over (I think the bartenders just froze). There was a case that the bartender did not want to give his wife two glasses of beer, saying that it was over (he lied because there were 30 bottles in the refrigerator), I had to go and take it myself. The beer tastes like our cheap beer (Chernihiv or Obolon light).

Their hookah is bad. If you want to smoke, first try from 15:00. until 17:00 h. (then it is free), the hookah man does not know how to see what is there with tobacco at all, and it starts to burn after about 15 minutes and starts to taste bitter. There is a hookah at other times 1 dollar.
Animators work for them - every day aqua aerobics, dancing for children and girls, in the evening a show program, a children's disco (I liked the animation) . .
Territory.
I really liked the territory of the hotel (the territory is shared with the Sphinx hotel), there are children's swings, an aviary with monkeys, a volleyball court, a swimming pool on the territory. There is a small reef where you can see the fish. There are always free sunbeds on the beach.
Staff.
In general, if you ignore all the problems that I pointed out, then it's normal. First of all, be prepared that everyone will want money from you, from the porter and cleaner to the guy who gives out towels on the beach (there was a case when he tried to beg me for money). I saw a girl’s review here that no one asked her for money, I won’t argue, they don’t pester the female half with requests for money (probably they don’t accept this), I checked it.
In general, my overall impression is normal, although the hotel does not pull on its 4 stars, I liked it.

Now a little about excursions. If you are traveling with the Join Up tour operator, then do not take a tour to Luxor from their guide (although I don’t know about others), firstly, the guide promised that the one-way trip would last 3.5 hours by bus with a toilet, he promised that the tour program would include among other things, a visit to the avenue of sphinxes is included. But everything turned out wrong, it took us 5 hours to get there, and 7 hours ago, on the way from the guide, we learned that the alley of sphinxes was not included in our program. The guide is something in general - he spoke Russian fluently, he told half the way according to the program, but in order to understand something from his story, you need to strain your brains a lot (after 20-30 minutes I stopped listening to him, as my head burst), the rest of the way he did advertising some teas, coffees and key chains. Later I found out that the tour program includes visits to papyrus and stone factories (where they make various nonsense from stone). Do not try to buy anything there, everything is very expensive. And now about the main thing, in the temples on which we went on an excursion, the guide gave us only 20 minutes as personal time, although it really took at least 1 hour for each. That is, he devoted more time to the above factories than to excursions. In general, you will pay $ 40 per person for being taken to the shops and quickly brought to the temples. It should also be said that the bus that was on the tour was without a toilet, and the guide tried to take us to places where the toilet was paid, and even when there were free toilets, he said that we would not go there, but go to the paid one because it is better there. Along the way, the guide picked up sellers of various garbage and advertised their goods. In short, not a tour, but shopping))))))
