We rested for a week with two children 11 and 13 years old before the new year. We bought a budget tour for $ 900 for four from Kyiv two days before departure. Breakfast was already in the hotel, but it took a long time to check in, they didn’t have time to eat, since there were cookies, so they lasted until dinner. We were also offered a surcharge to move to the Sphinx, but we decided to spend the money differently, since my guys are no longer small and we were not going to sit in the room. The room we were given was really old, renovation has been needed for a long time, the view was on the road outside the hotel, but everything worked fine all the rest, and we didn’t turn on the air conditioner at all. The territory of the hotel is not very large, rather compact, not far from the beach, in general, there is everything you need to a minimum. The large pool is cold, but the three slides, which are located in the farthest corner of the Sphinx, were heated and my kids spent almost all the main time there during the day, since the sea was no longer the warmest for them. It's good of course that the slides work on time, otherwise my children would spend all their time there. There are, as it were, two beaches near the hotel, one opposite the five, the other opposite the four. King's Beach in a small private lagoon, which is very convenient for families with children, there is a more or less convenient entrance. But we swam mainly from the Sphinx pier, it’s immediately deep and in general there is something to see under water, the reef goes almost the entire length of the beach, of course it’s not the most colorful, but it’s not even bad for a city hotel. The main problem is the temperature of the water, it’s cool for me and I couldn’t swim for a long time, I definitely wouldn’t have flown here with small children until April, and so my fighters, although not for long, still swam. In terms of nutrition, everything in general suited us, the minimum dishes necessary for us were present. Mine love pasta, rice, chicken, various rolls and cakes, and this is enough here. We did not get seafood except for fish. For the first time, for shrimp and squid in batter, they all went together to the city to the fish market on a local minibus, they paid for their fare in pounds, just some pennies, you just need to leave the hotel to the left and go along the road, they themselves slow down. By the way, there is a good store exactly opposite the hotel, we bought corals and masks for children there cheaper than ours by an order of magnitude. The animation at the hotel is mediocre, we didn’t go during the day, we ran and looked after the children periodically, although then they were boldly released on the slides, everything is very compact there and there is always a lifeguard, in general it’s safe. And in the evening we went to the amphitheater for performances, first for children, then for adults. From the trips, we first took a desert safari on quadrics, and the little ones themselves were driving and were simply delighted, and for this they agreed to go with us to the penultimate one to Luxor, when everything was already pretty fed up and I wanted new emotions and believe us, we got them over and above. By the way, if you want to save money, it’s better to find such tours outside the hotel, the guide is expensive, they just get it on the beach and extort deposits, and we ordered everything online from Mido Bikham, this is the best option for today. Vacationers with us were different, but Russian-speaking from different countries most of all, it seemed to me especially a lot of Ukrainians there. I will conclude that as an inexpensive option to fly with a family in winter, it’s not even bad, it’s not at all a pity to lose a day on any trip, and there is an opportunity to pay extra for a room in the top five, everything is a little better there, and there is an opportunity to get a view of sea. For this they ask from 40 to 60 dollars, try to bargain.
