We rested in Magawish with friends from 05.11 to 16.11. 2010. There were four of us (ages 31 to 33). I'll start from the very beginning. We purchased the tour 10 days before departure, we managed to do it on time, because after us, no one could buy tickets to Egypt in a normal hotel at a normal price. Tour operator "Pegas Touristik", travel agency "TUI" on Bratislavskaya (special thanks to the manager Carolina !!! ), Orenburg Airlines. Immediately upon arrival, we felt one big plus - the hotel is min. 5-7 drive from the airport of Hurghada. We arrived at the hotel at 12 o'clock at night, the Pegasus guide escorted us to the reception, where we were quickly issued and escorted to the rooms, or rather the bungalow. I will say right away - the territory of the hotel is simply huge, in some places all green, in some places sand, next to the bungalow there are trees and flowers !! ! It was the first time we stayed in a bungalow, so we were a little worried, but, to be honest, it's even better than just a hotel room, especially if you are relaxing in a company. There is a wicker table and two armchairs in front of the bungalow, we took the rooms next door and every evening we had a gathering with the neighbors. Of course, the rooms have old furniture, but it is spacious and clean, there is air conditioning, a TV! Our friends did not have a TV when they arrived, we informed the reception and they replaced it immediately (at 1 am). The bathroom is good, everything worked properly, there is a hair dryer, which, oddly enough, did not turn off from overheating. Cleaned every day, if you want towels changed every day, then do not hang them on the towel holder. Bed linen is also old, washed out, changed once a week. Swans and hearts from towels were not laid out, although we regularly left a dollar. In general, there are no complaints about the number, because. we came not to sit in the rooms, but to swim and sunbathe, we appeared there only at night, and left early in the morning. By the way, there were mosquitoes, oddly enough, but we left the air conditioner on at night and slept peacefully! There is no theft in the hotel! But I advise everyone to simply not leave valuables, and even more so money in a conspicuous place, because. the money is regarded by employees as a tip. It is advisable not to leave the doors to the bungalow open for a long time, because. all kinds of living creatures run around the territory (desert after all) such as beetles and lizards (by the way, whoever stays in room 49 say hello to our lizard Garik! )
The main contingent of the hotel are Poles, Italians, Russians and Germans. Despite the fact that we arrived at night, we were fed a light dinner, which we were incredibly happy about! The next morning we hurried to breakfast, because. after reading the reviews, they were afraid that there would be no places in the restaurant - all this is a lie !! ! The hotel was crowded, but there were never queues in the restaurant, all the dishes were constantly updated, the waiters are very efficient, they quickly remove the dirty dishes, bring everything you ask for, there are separate children's tables and a children's menu for children (I won't say how good it is, because I don't know how good it is). we were without children), but we were glad that there were a huge number of children in the hotel, and we didn’t even notice them in the restaurant.
The next day after arrival, we met with our hotel guide Albina (Pegasus), who gave us general information about the hotel, the country, Pegasus' expensive excursions and that's it. To be honest, this is our only disappointment - the hotel guide Albina, who, in our opinion, absolutely did not care what you do and what you want, we somehow turned to her with a question, but she answered in such a way that we decided after that all our issues to be resolved directly with the hotel staff, especially since I speak English and the staff is always ready to help you (by the way, many of the workers speak Russian tolerably) !!!

As for the food: we were all very satisfied!! ! In the mornings, the menu was repeated, but this did not bother us, because. there was the most basic: eggs, fried sausages, fried tomatoes with cheese (a couple more hot dishes for which we simply did not have enough space in the stomach), honey, jams, pastries, tea, coffee, milk, corn flakes and yogurts. But at lunch and dinner, hot dishes were never repeated: there was fish almost every day (I’ll say right away - the fish is just delicious), squid, chicken, meat, spaghetti, steamed vegetables, salads, fruits, pastries and other sweets, etc. and so on - everything was the sea. With alcoholic and other soft drinks, there are also no problems (if you are on All inclusive, of course! ) We poured a lot and several glasses in one hand. We came to the restaurant at different times (it happened even towards the end), but we always had enough of everything!! ! There are several bars on the territory of the hotel: a bar in the restaurant, a bar by each of the pools, a beach bar in the Dolphin restaurant, a bar in the lobby, in a disco club, and in the Orienal cafe on the street, which was open from 17.00 to 00.00. From 12.00 to 13.00 on the beach in the restaurant "Dolphin" was a "happy hour" - everyone was given ice cream! At 13.00 they also gave pizza with salad - very tasty, we liked it! There is also a bar "Panorama" with a sea view, but there drinks are for an additional fee.
What we are really lucky with is the BEACH! The length is more than 1 km. , A lot of sun loungers (there was no queue for sun loungers in the morning), excellent clean sand, the entrance to the sea is sandy, which is very convenient for non-swimming tourists and tourists with children. The water is clean, the bottom is good, the shore is shallow. During the day, a company of six "men in white" with garbage bags passes along the beach and picks up all the garbage left by unscrupulous tourists on the beach. We stayed near the pier, because. the most beautiful fish and two stingrays usually hid under the pier. The fish are just unmeasured, I felt like Jacques Yves Cousteau, there are stingrays, and cuttlefish, and lionfish, and flute fish, and moray eels, and dolphins and many fish whose names I don’t even know. I am not the first time in Hurghada, but I see such a variety of fish for the first time. We bought a two-hour sea excursion to Magawish Island from the guys on the beach (special thanks and big regards to our instructor Semyon Semyonych from Glass Boat, who sailed on an excursion from our pier three times a day), sailed into the open sea and started snorkeling (swimming in a mask with a snorkel and flippers), it was then that we saw all the beauties of the Red Sea: corals, hedgehogs and all the variety of aquatic fauna. It was an unforgettable excursion, even for me - a person who cannot swim (I only dived with an instructor and in a life jacket)! Very often cuttlefish and pufferfish swam to the shore (similar to hedgehog fish), once three dolphins swam to the pier in search of fish, we were in the water at that moment and did not expect to see dolphins next to us - indescribable sensations !! ! I didn’t get out of the water at all - I dived in a mask with a snorkel and once I saw a moray eel - still “goosebumps”, but everything worked out. It got dark during this period at 17.00, swimming after it got dark is prohibited, because. dangerous sea creatures swim up to the shore in search of food, but we managed to dive a couple of times at night after the disco, although it is really very dangerous.
As for entertainment: ANIMATION OF THE HOTEL MAGAWISH WORTH A SPECIAL THANK YOU!! ! It consists of 11 people - three Russian girls (respect to Olga! ), four Italians (two girls and two guys) and four Egyptians (two of which are DJs), and the third is the animation manager. So they entertained us from morning until late at night: in the morning on the beach - first stretching - stretching gymnastics, then aqua aerobics in the sea (Italian animator Amadeo is just SUPER !!! ), then volleyball on the beach, and in the late afternoon lesson "Bellydance" (belly dance), here the animation manager was the best. The children had a separate animator. In the evening, the animators met us at the entrance to the Manta restaurant and wished everyone a good appetite, and at 22.30 every day they gave us a show: oriental-show with belly dances and tanura (dance with skirts), folklore show, all kinds of musicals and comedy performances, competitions, etc. , immediately after Show-time, Disco-time-disco began (from 22.30 to 02.00), where you could not only dance, but also play billiards. On Wednesdays (for a fee) an African show is held on the beach - this is something, I advise everyone, there you will be well fed, drunk, and then entertained with belly dancing, “live” singing and, most importantly, REAL AFRICAN DANCES, AND THEN DISCO UP TO 2- X NIGHT! On Wednesdays and Saturdays, for a fee, we were invited to the Mermaid fish restaurant, we really liked the restaurant itself (located on the shore, a pleasant atmosphere inside), again they entertained us with belly dancing, but the food was very scarce, in the main restaurant during dinner it’s even better fed. In general, we did not have to be bored, for which the entire animation of the Magawish Swiss Inn Resort hotel BIG, BIG, BIG APPLAUSE!!!!!!
Of the excursions this time, we only went on a safari to the desert (Badawya company). The excursion includes: riding camels, horses, donkeys, ATVs and spiders, visiting a Bedouin village and an evening show on the Badawya territory. The tour lasted 5-6 hours, water, lunch and soft drinks are included in the price of the trip. The impressions are the best (thanks to our guide Olya), I really enjoyed riding quad bikes and spiders in the Sahara.

Hurghada is 10 min. drive from the hotel, but we went there only twice for souvenirs (a taxi from the hotel costs $ 5, and if you go out onto the road, you can catch it for $ 3 and $ 4). If you go from the hotel in the opposite direction from Hurghada, you can get to the SenzoMall shopping center (like our shopping centers) with good shops and a chic African restaurant, but you can’t buy souvenirs there !! ! By the way, souvenirs can also be purchased at the airport of Hurghada, in DutyFree, where there is a very large assortment and good prices.
In general, summing up everything that has been said, we had a great rest, which I wish you too !!!
